One of the things that annoys the shit out of me is that Sallie Mae, Mille's sister is trans. Or rather the way it was confirmed.

On twitter of course. I'm sick and tired of creators putting tidbits of information in out of the way places. If I can't learn the information from watching your show then it shouldn't count. If I have to scroll through your social media or look at Reddit for shit then I don't care.

And it's always inevitably for LGBT stuff. Which baffles me because Vivienne is obviously pro-lgbt and can just make Sallie-Mae openly trans instead of tucking that bit of knowledge in her twitter somewhere, it's frustrating.

Rowling really fucked up fan lore delivery with "Dumbledore is gay" in that interview.

to be very straightforward about the topic instead of sitting up on euphemism hill i think pedophilia is bad because it is wrong to rape and molest kids, and not for any other reason--and blurring the line between activities that involve the rape and sexual exploitation of children (whether as perpetrator, beneficiary, spectator, or enabler) and ones that don't generally indicates that you care more about what you find Icky rather than the safety of children.

I was at a Halloween party a friend was hosting the other week, and he was baking some truly excellent dishes. He pulled something out of the oven and said (something to the effect of) "Do NOT touch this dish. It just came out of the oven and will burn you into next Sunday."

Other friend responded something like, "Oh cool, a dish that causes time-travel," and I responded, "Well yeah. You hold on to the super hot dish and it makes you travel forward through time at a rate of 1 second per second."

This. It turns out. Was a critical error on my part. Because another friend turned to me real wide-eyed and asked, "Was that a reference?" and I was like "What?" and he was like "Homestuck," and I was like "What?"
