Keep it mobile how?
How was he supposed to keep a steady pace in this fucking thing?! He didn't how to drive one! Jorge had extensive experience fighting the Covenant over a decades-long career as a Spartan. He had seen Ghosts, blow Ghosts to high-hell, but he'd never attempted piloting one. There were times when he'd wanted to; of all the Covenant's vehicular arsenal, the looked like the most fun to pilot.
He fancied the idea of taking one for a spin one day; perhaps after a skirmish or something. He never thought he'd have to commandeer one in the middle of a firefight. As the Ghost skidded though the air, Jorge frantically took the controls. It wasn't as though he was a stranger to Covenant vehicles; he'd piloted a Revenant once, many years ago.
And he was equally as scared shitless than as he was now. Without thinking, he tilted the control sticks forward...
And went zooming off.

Jorge ignored his protege’s foul language, focusing all of his attention on the pursuing Elite. When he attempted to return fire, the Warthog’s turremt made an awful groaning noise and stalled out. Jorge promptly gave it a smack but it still refused to budge.
“Baszd meg!” Jorge swore, not particularly caring if Artemis heard him.
Fuck!
Profanity was a rare guest in the old bear’s mouth, but when times were truly desperate, it entered. Thinking quickly, Jorge glanced back at Artemis before turning to face the Ghost again.
“I’m jammed!” He barked.
“I’m gonna have to do something really stupid!”
With no other options left, Jorge leapt from the back of the warthog. He sailed through the air like a brick thrown with malicious intent before landing on the hood of the Ghost, his feet straddling the twin plasma cannons. The pilot swerved, attempting to shake him off, but Jorge was faster, kicking himself off the guns and rounding on the split lip.
Before it had time to consider its next move, Jorge’s left hand crushed its windpipe and tossed it away.
