recently i learned to knit. i had tried it before in middle school, but i preferred crocheting. i have now grown quite fond of knitting and i enjoy it. i am very proud of myself that this is my first time actually knitting something, and it is going amazingly well. (it will hopefully become a balaclava/hood at some point). it took me an hour to learn the garter stitch, but once i got it, it went smoothly. i love the yarn, it's so nice, and it's ombre again. often to pay attention in class, i crochet or knit.

during Christmas break, i went home and got covid and ended up out of yarn. and i had way too much time on my hands as i was quarantined. thus, i started crocheting the lovely cat beanie w/ a fluffy edge. it is not done yet. i will post updates when it's ready. the photo of me wearing it is actually a selfie of distress as i think the hat is wayyy too cute for me to wear, i am not sure yet what i will do with it.

crocheted these matching mittens, phone bag and lip balm bag and made them my personality. i don't go anywhere without them. i do not know why all people don't own phone bags, they are literally the most convenient things ever to exist. so comfortable and cute. the little phone charm is also made by moi. i crocheted the mittens in one day when i was on a train trip to Amsterdam. as all the tickets were sold out and i had my Interrail pass to use, the trip was instead of 3 hours, like 7 hours. i had to change trains 4 times. however, it did give me the time to just enjoy crocheting and looking out the window and listening to music. i love my granny square mittens.

made white leg warmers. i think the yarn i used isn't really perfect for leg warmers, but it is what it is. one learns from mistakes & experience. these have also been quite time-consuming and i don't particularly like working with one-colored yarn as i find it boring. especially also when the crochet pattern is basically the same all the time. this way, it is easier to watch yt, tho (rec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_rjBWmc1iQ). i wore them at a party at the Pamela, which i co-hosted. seemed like an appropriate event to finally showcase my work.

this hat was such an easy project. it took just a couple of hours. i don't really like the colours for the hat, but that's why i chose them. it is my under-the-weather, walking-in-the-neighbourhood & grocery-shopping hat. it perfectly covers your eyes and makes you almost anonymous. i'm still thinking of maybe selling/gifting it, as i do not resonate with the colours 97% of the time. however, the 3% of the time when i do wear it, i feel like it serves its purpose.
