Illustration of my character from a Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying campaign. In the illustration I’ve used copic markers, a bit of soft pastels and a white gel roll pen. The character is a forest gnome druid called Pixie and I’m really happy with her design.
Abstract and realistic sculptures in clay. This project was an assignment on abstraction and the abstract sculpture is abstracted from the form of the realistic sculpture.
Short animation made for a quick assignment. The assignment was to make a short animation based on one of several poems. I chose a poem about the bombing of Hiroshima in 1945. The animation is ment to illustrate the contrast of how quickly it went from a normal day to everything in Hiroshima being completely destroyed.
Illustration of Spring Child using soft pastels and colored pencils.
This illustration was made for an assignment to design a character and then draw an illustration of this character. I decided to design a character based on spring as I’ve experienced it in my hometown, aka warm and sunny one moment and stormy the next. Therefore I decided to design her as an outdoorsy child who changes the weather around her as her mood changes. The flower on her head also changes according to her mood, looking healthy and blooming when she is happy, but wilted and sad when she is sad or angry. To give her a proper spring feeling I tried out different color palettes for her, before I landed on the one you can see in the illustration.
Character design sketches for a small comic strip in progress. The first sketch was made while doodling in class, however I really liked the idea and feeling of the sketch so I decided to sketch out some more in depth character design ideas. The character is still in need of a name, but she is a quiet girl with magical powers connected to a mysterious stone. Her eyes turn entirely white when these powers activate, which is the reason why some of the sketches depict her having white eyes while in others she has normal ones.
Portrait made for an assignment using Medibang Paint Pro. When working on this portrait I wanted to get a better feel for digital drawing and experimenting with colors and brush strokes to get a soft and cartoony look. Character design by me.
