A/N: sorry this took so long and that it’s still short. But, I don’t know, I feel like the first meeting would be brief anyways if they decide not to kill you for whatever reason.

They were beautiful as they stood above you, soaked in blood. You couldn’t even find it in yourself to care that it was your friend’s blood or that their corpse was less than a few meters away from you, mesmerized by the otherworldly being you were staring at.

And they stared back, eyes unblinking as their companions watched on in silence, eyes only for their leader, none but the Priest’s on you. Eyes locked, unable to look away, unable to break from the trance you were both trapped in. And when they opened their mouth, their voice sounded more heavenly than any choir.

“Curious.” They whisper, trailing their fingers over your cheeks, watching as your eyes flutter shut, weak to their touch. “Very very curious.”

You melted, not even caring about the blood they smeared on your face, more focused on the way they seemed to trace patterns into your skin. What they were, you couldn’t tell, but they seemed pleased with your compliance.

They placed the lament configuration in your hands.

“Take care of this for me, Little One.” They tell you, nails dragging down your neck so gently but they were so sharp that they still drew blood, thin as the cuts were. “And perhaps I will come visit you sometime soon.”

And then they were gone.
