Some do have to kill don’t they? Surely those who do see it as a matter of predator and prey. The lion isn’t demonized for killing the gazelle, they probably draw a similar comparison. 

I refuse to believe that they have to kill, I’m sure that they could stop before they kill the person. I don’t know for sure as I never have nor will I ever find myself in that position. But until I’m corrected, I will continue to hold that belief.

Some people don’t quite value life the way we do…. Turns of the moon cause killing for sport for some. And there are others who’s concept of mortality is completely skewed. *shrugs & sighs* It’s terrible, I know. 

I can almost understand for those who have to get their food source from humans, but they don’t need to kill to get it. They either think that humans are toys, walking snack boxes, or insects to be exterminated. It’s deplorable.

Rick the sorcerer

Rick was born to a sorcerer father and a human mother. When he was little, he couldn’t understand the dislike his father expressed towards his sister. It was only when he got older and found out what he was that he understood. Sorcerers only have sons, so his sister was not their father’s biological daughter.

His father was raised in the old ways and always looked down on witches for being an inferior species. Rick grew up hearing that rhetoric from his father, but he was always skeptical of those beliefs. He became a lawyer, but he did not join the family business like his father wanted. Instead, he devoted his career to helping supernaturals who had been shafted by the system. He is non-confrontational by nature, but his desire for knowledge constantly leads him to seek out new spells. He doesn’t believe in using dark magic, but he does understand the need to have lethal spells in his repertoire.

Rick was patient as she tried to organize her thoughts and he gave her a small smile in response before reaching out to take her hand so he could brush a gentle kiss across the back of it. “If we’re being perfectly honest, I wasn’t expecting an answer when I asked.” He started before standing up to clear the plates from the table. “The last thing I want is for you to feel pressured into giving me an answer when you aren’t ready.” He added, turning to face her after placing the dishes in the sink. “This was...” He trailed off, trying to find the correct words to express himself. “My intention was to let you know that I’m ready when you are and I’m content to wait as long as you want. I just didn’t want to sit around with both of us waiting until the other has the courage to ask. The offer will remain open until you tell me to get out of your life and when you’re ready...if you’re ever ready, all you have to do is say yes.”

Allow me to at least show a little appreciation to try and thank you for all that you do.” He replied giving her a quick kiss on her cheek before pouring them both a glass of wine and sitting down across from her. They ate and made pleasant small talk and gradually the glasses emptied and the plates were bare of food. “Wendy Moira Angela Darling,” He started after they had stopped eating, “You have done well raising your two girls by yourself and I know you have expressed that they don’t need a father, but I have a small request to make of you. You know that I love you and that I adore your daughters and I would like to help you raise them. I would like to be their father. Wendy, will you marry me?”

Rick had placed a bouquet of roses at her spot on the table for when she woke up and a card that he helped the girls sign. After a day spent with the five of them at the London zoo, Rick had Wendy’s brothers take the girls out for dinner. He had made Wendy’s favorite at home for the two of them and had turned off his phone so Cass would stop being obnoxious and texting him...or at the very least so he could more easily ignore her. “Happy Mother’s Day Darling.” He stated as he dished up a plate for her and set it at her spot at the table.
