I've been purchasing Google phones since they started with the Nexus series and their collaborations with different manufacturers. I then switched to Pixel. Had the 2, 3a then 5a. Recently I had the BSOD issue with the 5a, I reached out to Google, 5 weeks after my 1 year warranty ended. They said they would repair it. Today I got a diagnosis alert and they are saying it's a screen issue and power issue. It's $349 for a refurbished device.
So right now I am using a moto g stylus 5G (2022) and am pretty happy. The camera isn't that great compared to the pixel, but overall it seems to be a solid device for $299.
After this I am done with the pixel line. I had the same issue with my 3a but it at least lasted 26 months. Then purchased the 5a and at 13.5 months it's dead.
Anyways.

What a f****** nightmare it is to deal with an Apple ID that has been hacked. Helping an older auntie over here and because her Apple ID has been compromised she is facing $25,000 in fraudulent charges on her credit cards. It's also nearly impossible to regain access to an Apple ID. The advice Apple gives is to basically create a new Apple ID after you prove ownership of your device through the original purchase receipt with the IMEI number on the receipt. Basically once you do that you have to fill out a form online and then Apple will hopefully approve it and turn off the activation lock that is on your iphone. Once the activation lock is off you need to back up your iPhone onto a computer and then reset it. Once the phone is reset you basically just have to create a new Apple ID and the new Apple ID will now be tied to your phone. Your old Apple ID remains but you just don't have access to it anymore not sure if the bad actor still retains access to that ID but will update after I find out. This s*** gave me a migraine f*** that.

Not to be heartless / rude, but that storm was known pretty well in advance, and unfortunately, that's what happens with flying. There is always uncertainty and at any moment something like cancellations can happen. Just have to remain calm and try to make the best of it.
