#my absolutely favorite thing about his design is his eyes go super uwu when he’s trying to get out of trouble #maybe it’s the shape and color but truly big ol bunny eyes #but his whole expression changes when he just furrows his brows like genuinely looks like a whole different character #also second fave thing is that someone on the china server was doing study on the butt thing and his is the jiggliest #but also almost all of his dates when they know how they feel about each other is him being manipulative but acting so innocent #and it’s funnier bc rafayel is absolutely innocent like shit just happens to him but bc of his personality he always seems shady 😭😂

playing nightbringer, and satan in the early chapters makes me so sad. I get that he’s angry and settling into their avatars of sins doesn’t really help (like his anger is different because he can’t help it, the same way asmo can’t stop admiring himself, etc) 😭

but it’s just the fact that he doesn’t know where he belongs. his “brothers” are former angels that are struggling themselves with their new lives & the unwelcoming surroundings, but he doesn’t know to relate to that when he’s always been a demon. yet at the same time, the demons don’t welcome him. all he can really do is throw himself into books, and try to learn as much as he can about both the celestial realm and devildom, but he couldn’t even enter their library until MC shows up.

(but also it’s even sadder when you think about how he considers his search for knowledge as a means of respect; and how despite being a very well-liked and respected person in the future/original games, he still does not have a sense of self, and is constantly searching for his own personal talent that’s purely his)

and it figures why he hates lucifer so much, because (well, partially, satan IS lucifer’s karma, as he was birthed from his own wrath & hatred against their father) it all stems back lucifer, his very confusing existence. he and lucifer exist as the same, yet completely different always at the same time. lucifer has many qualities he admires, but he has the compulsion to detach from him desparately

BUT it’s probably even more irritating when you live with his brothers who admire lucifer greatly, even following him blindly to exile. not that they don’t get into their own things with lucifer, but it can be overwhelming to feel like you can’t really trust or be vulnerable around your alleged “brothers” because their loyalty to the person you cannot help but despising and feeling inferior to

I think in the original game, satan has come more into himself and his position within their family, but literally, they have to tie him up like a dog the majority of the time in the beginning. (not that they don’t have their reasons, but) it just creates a barrier between them even further… and AGAIN, he cannot help it 😭 he was literally born from anger and hatred. it’s hard to exist when the reason you exist is why you rage out the way you do, which is somehow even unacceptable by demon standards.

I 10000% understand this is just the world building and eventually things get better, but as a satan stan, I just want to throw him in a pile of cats and give him a hug 😭
