I'm currently working on a fanfic set in early series around time Chummy/Peter go to Africa and using other plot points a bit out of order.
It's going to focus mainly on Shelagh and Patrick getting together.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any plot points or fave lines/scenes that you think are really important and I should include?
🤔💙❤️

Help finding fanfic
Hi I read a fanfiction on AO3 and I'm sure I bookmarked it but can't find it.
It was a sherlock fanfic. He is in a relationship with Molly and she gets injured/in hospital. While in waiting room with John, John said he saw Irene downstairs and Sherlock should go to her as he must love her more than Molly. Sherlock is upset/in shock and tells him to leave.
I have tried different key words but can't find it. Anyone know what one I mean?
Edit: I found it.
It is:
Importance of person by ltEveRoarke.

Loved the episode tonight.
Nearly cried at Miss Higgins and her son hugging, just about kept it together.
I know there are different opinions on May's bio mum but I'm glad that after they spoke and she heard how loved and confident May sounded she did what was best for her daughter and I have in my head that they do keep in touch with letters etc. as she grows up but we probably won't see that in the show.
Turnadette supporting each other. Patrick being realistic that May wasn't theirs yet, their hand holding during the call and the half hug at the end.
Sister Julienne was fantastic. Immediately saving Trixie from the fire and helping Joyce with her deadbeat ex-husband.
Joyce's teeth suck noise(can't find the correct word) is great and the ladies cheering her on.🥰
Also Reggie with his speech at the end and the call back to how his storyline started.
Tim the sassy receptionist.🤭
Also love Sister Julienne winning mum of the year. Does that mean she gets the washing machine? Does Nonnatus have one or do they use the laundrette?

Some advice/opinions needed.
I am going to see one last push on Thursday and I'm not sure whether to go to stage door to get signatures.
When I went to see Laura in steel magnolias I did get a photo and she spoke to me for a few mins.
I know it sounds weird but I don't want to seem like a stalker or something. I get worried about things like this.

Spoilers for one last push play.
First of it was very different from any other roles I have seen Laura in.
Quick character summery:
Jen is the pregnant wife
Mark is her husband
Eileen is her mum
Dave is Mark's dad
Alize is Dave's girlfriend
Paul is the crazy upstairs neighbour
Quick plot summary:
She is very stressed as she is 3 days overdue and is trying to get everything ready for the birth.
Everyone stresses her out and she ends up screaming at everyone causing her waters to break.
Mark and Paul are doing a plan to catch some rodents in the garden.
Dave is trying to fix the electrics etc.
Her mum wants to be her doula.
Alize is creeping her out asking loads of questions about the birth/baby.
Mark tries to control everyone and get them working together to get everything set up and calm Jen down. Eventually they do and help her give birth.
There are quite a few stereotypical things as the jokes. Like Jen and the mother in law not getting on, Dave judging Mark for wanting to be a stay at home dad, a conversation about it being selfish to have children and Dave calling Jen love/darling/pet etc and it pissing her off.
The birth is very different to Shelagh’s on call the midwife. Where as Shelagh was all calm and sweet with Patrick. Jen shouts at Mark that it's his fault for sticking his dick in her and telling him to fuck off and stop rubbing her back.
Eventually baby is born, everyone leaves and Jen and Mark have a sweet conversation.
It was very good and if anyone can go I would defo recommend it.

Went to see one last push yesterday so funny and sweet. All the cast were brilliant, especially Laura.
I really want to go again because it's only on for a few weeks and sometimes I miss stuff the first time I watch things.
I might go again on 29th if anyone else is heading to see it. 😁

Something stuck in my head at hearing Shelagh say "I need you to stay with me".
In the first pics from 2nd Christmas special they aren't married so she doesn't count as Tim's parent/guardian. So they each have to deal with it alone.
In the recent episode they are both 'just' the foster parents and are able to be a team and support each other.
I wonder if Shelagh was thinking about that and needed Patrick's comfort before they went to May together. 😢💔

2023 Bucket
Tumblr media
This is a bucket. Anything you don't want to take with you into 2024, feel free to drop it in the bucket. I will be burning the contents (with Hellfire) at exactly 11:59pm on New Year's Eve.
You don't have to type anything, at all. Just reblog the bucket and your intentions will be known by the universe. Or the bucket. Or whatever you like.

even if you love being at home and you don't like going outside and you just want to spend all your time at home (which is totally ok!) it's still healthy to leave the house every once in a while if you can.
if you go outside, it means you get to do this thing called "going home" at the end of the trip, which is pretty neat. you don't get to "go home" if you're always home already.
going home is good for you and it's good for your home. it gives your home a chance to do its job, which is to welcome you back into safety and privacy after an adventure in the outside world. you get to shut out all of the other parts of your life that shouldn't be intruding on your personal time.
if your entire life happens inside your home, you're bringing all that stuff inside with you, you don't get to physically shut out stressors, and you never get to experience the relief of leaving your busy day behind as you shut the front door behind you.
this is part of why mental health walks, going to the grocery store, or sitting on your porch are good for you. it's not so much what you do when you're outside that matters, but the being away from home and then coming back to it. going outside improves your quality of life and it makes being at home much more comfortable.

Dear #SagAftraMembers:
We are thrilled & proud to tell you that today your TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee voted unanimously to approve a tentative agreement with the AMPTP.  As of 12:01 a.m. PT on Nov. 9, our strike is officially suspended & all picket locations are closed. We will be in touch in the coming days with information about celebration gatherings around the country.
In a contract valued at over one billion dollars, we have achieved a deal of extraordinary scope that includes "above-pattern" minimum compensation increases, unprecedented provisions for consent and compensation that will protect members from the threat of AI, and for the first time establishes a streaming participation bonus. Our Pension & Health caps have been substantially raised, which will bring much needed value to our plans. In addition, the deal includes numerous improvements for multiple categories including outsize compensation increases for background performers, and critical contract provisions protecting diverse communities.
We have arrived at a contract that will enable SAG-AFTRA members from every category to build sustainable careers. Many thousands of performers now and into the future will benefit from this work. Full details of the agreement will not be provided until the tentative agreement is reviewed by the SAG-AFTRA National Board.
We also thank our union siblings — the workers that power this industry — for the sacrifices they have made while supporting our strike and that of the Writers Guild of America. We stand together in solidarity and will be there for you when you need us.
Thank you all for your dedication, your commitment, your solidarity throughout this strike. It is because of you that these improvements became possible.

The idea of the twelve character archetypes was suggested by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. His theory on basic human personalities suggests that each human is led predominantly by one of four motivations during their lifespan, split into three separate character traits. These archetypes are now often used by writers as a basis for their characters.
The "Provide Structure" trait includes:
The Caregiver
The Creator
The Ruler
The "Spiritual Journey" trait includes:
The Innocent
The Explorer
The Sage
The "Leave a Mark" trait includes:
The Hero
The Outlaw
The Magician
The "Connect With Others" trait includes:
The Everyman
The Lover
The Jester
