The important thing about this is that it's just the beginning of a beautiful adulthood of learning that everyone is always in a different place and the idea of a 'stage' is heteronormative and capitalistic, focusing people's identities on their career titles and salaries and their closeness to procreation. Learning to let go of the idea that people are tic-marks on a scale between 'failure' and 'success', and to just accept each person as they come to you (including you yourself) as a beautifully fully formed individual, is one of the best ways to learn how to be kind and open-minded. Because that young man with the job through his father may have deep insecurities, and that new couple may be divorced in ten years, and that barista might write kickass AO3 fics that fills their life with warmth and community.

In your 20s, you're new to it, that's all, having spent each childhood year in a sardine-can of other kids exactly your age going through prescribed Adolescent Phases. Don't let what you see of the diversity of human experience now drag you down or overwhelm you; it's all okay, it's all normal, it's all beautiful. Where you're at is perfectly fine, where you're going is gonna be great. Just try to enjoy the ride, okay? Don't be so focused on what's ahead that you lose track of the potential for joy around you.

Being a young adult is so strange. You enter a coffee shop. The 20 year old girl waiting behind you cried all night because she just came to a new city for university and she feels so alone. That 27 year old guy over there works a job he is overqualified for, he lives with his parents and wants to move out but doesn't know what to do about it. That one 24 year old dude already has a car, a house, and a job waiting for him once he graduates thanks to his dad's connections. The 26 year old barista couldn't complete his higher education because he has to work and take care of his family. The 28 year old girl sitting next to you has no friends to go out with so she is texting her mother. That couple (both 25 years old) are married and the girl is pregnant. The 29 year old writing something on her laptop has realized that she chose the wrong major so she is trying to start all over. We are not alone in this, but we are actually so alone. Do you feel me

as a big proponent of Making Your Own Webbed Site For Your Webbed Comic myself, it bothers me how, every time naver webtoon gets caught mistreating specifically its contracted artists, that news gets used as a jumping off point to promote self hosting/reading self hosted comics... it feels like a self-interested distraction from the actual issue of "this company is screwing over people it has contracts with"

I think you should read webcomics but I also think you should challenge yourself about it, go find that odd creation that's out there because one horny lady once thought it was cool or a dude was giving his first shot at a story and it came all wrong or they tried to do it traditional and their only medium was pencil and printer paper. Maybe if you like reading romance on webtoons you can go look at comic fury and see someone's nightmare of a comic or maybe you like sci-fi and there's someone on tapas drawing the sexiest priest ever who will finally not bore you. Maybe all you've read are Hiveworks webcomics when The Duck comics are right there and maybe that comic that's using only 3D assets that turned you off at first really has the most compelling writing you'll see this year. It's easy to say "read more webcomics" and give you the same three suggestions or collectives over and over. The net is vast and infinite and so is the array of human creation.

Maybe start with a random one. And then keep jumping
