Chapter 20 where john gets mad at reader over the picture

seriously i need to give it to her i would of turned into a total wreck 🤣 and broke down especially that new in the relationship i would be scared even tho WE KNOW John would never NEVER raise his hand to a women unless there apart of the assassins

yeah he was pissed rightfully so after they’d had that conversation the day before about whether he’d marry her or not but at the same time john knew her at that point. he knew she’d never do that but i think he just needed someone to blame at first and she was right there. also i think bc she knew she didn’t do it she didn’t have more of an explosive reaction. she knew she didn’t do it and she knew he’d realize.

and he totally felt like an ass when he realized.

now that we’re on the subject. kinda. one of my biggest hmh regrets is when he spun around and grabbed her arm. i think it was like chapter 8 or something. i always hated that little part. she sneaks up on him and he grabs her arm. it’s believable, sure. but i always hated it. i never wanted it to come off that john was ever a danger to her and i think it did in that chapter. he would NEVER hurt her and i absolutely regret writing that.

anywho yeah she handles a lot of their situations better than i ever would tbh. but she also gets very emotional and freaks out too. i love her tbh lmao i love her range of emotions i love how sometimes I don’t even know how she’s going to react in a situation until after i i write it. lemme just say she handles the helen stuff better than i ever would bc that woman would be in the back of my mind all the time bc insecure!!! but john is a good man and truly loves her and she knows that at the end of the day he’s married to her bc he wants to be and because he couldn’t imagine his life with anyone else. he truly truly loves her and he’s very good at showing her which is what she needs. he loves her the way she needs to be loved which is why she doesn’t question it. they’re just my favorites 😭
