The End Of Smoking: Blog 2

DEFINITION OF HYPOTHESIS

Interview was conducted at Central Mindanao University. We interviewed two(2) students who smoke and use vape. Targeting the students who used vape and who smoke. The goal of this interview is to gain the ideas of the students if they will use our product and what are their thoughts about our product. If this product will be successful and famous they will give us positive feedback and they will introduce it to others.

TEST AND RESULTS OF HYPOTHESIS

We made an EMPATHY MAP to interview two students from Central Mindanao University. The interview consisted of the following questions: (What do they see)

• What kind of vape flavor do you usually smell in your environment?

•Do you think you and your friend could stop their smoking?

•Did you purchase vape in online?

(What do they SAY?)

•Do you think it is healthy to smoke?

•What is your opinion about puffing vape?

•How much is your budget for a vape? Was it worth it the price?

(What do they DO?)

•When did you start your smoking habit?

•Did you try to stop your smoking habit?

•Did you have any alternative for smoking?

(What do they HEAR?)

•Who influences you to omoke?

•Do you usually go with friends /boardmates? •Did someone tells you to stop smoking? (PAINS)

1. How do you feel about skipping puffing?

2. When you skip puffing, what are your options?(GAINS)

1. How much are you willing to pay when there is an alternation of vape?

2. If you want to stop vaping how will you do it?

The results of the survey, they will find a way if they wanted to stop vaping but they find it hard because of temptation. They are willing to buy vape if they have money. They wanted to stop vaping but the temptation and they are having fun if they use it. Curiosity hits in their mind and they try to vape and cannot stop it. They wanted to stop but no alternative way. In this interview, we gained knowledge and their support to our product.

To summarize, the interview we introduced to the students and able to evaluate to the target customers, and to know their suggestions. Those we interviewed, we are very happy that they will support our product.

TEAM OPTION AND DECISIONS

Our team created a solution to the problems of students who wanted to stop smoking. During the survey, we decided that we will continue and improve more our product because in our first sample it is not yet perfect. The team will do their best to support the students who wanted to stop vaping. The team's decision is focusing on the following:

LESSON LEARNED

I now understand how important it is to conduct deep study and have a solid understanding of both the product and the target market. The complexity of user behaviors, perceptions, and wants has been brought to light through the survey and empathy map creation processes. I now have a better understanding of the difficulties encountered by those attempting to give up vaping and the possibility of using inhalers as a replacement. In order to make sure that our solutions meet actual user demands and bring significant value, I will continue to place a high priority on empathy and customer-centricity in product development.
