I know you have all probably seen the esims for gaza posts circulating. Absolutely agree with above statement-- and just a heads up: Every Switch exclusive game developed by Nintendo* is not language locked. If you buy a Japanese copy of any Nintendo game on the switch, you can play it in your language (given that there IS a version of the game released in your language.)

I mean, look at this:

Reason I say this, is because even with shipping charges**, it's still cheaper to get second-hand games from overseas. Even for recently released games.

Case and point:

It's related to both the decrease in value in JPY, and the culture. You can do a deep dive into why you can get a lot of retro games for reasonable prices in Japan, and apply that knowledge here. And yeah. It is such bullshit to have to jump through all these extra hoops to get games for reasonable prices, but where there's a will, there's a way. Hope this helps somebody out ✊
