Everlasting Love.
41/2. I don't usually read paranormal vampire romance. However, this book interested me. It reminded me of an episode of True Blood. The story is about Genise a graduate student writing her dissertation on the paranormal, supernatural etc. Ironically, Genise doesn't believe in the paranormal even though her best friend and her parents believe. Her best friend Cassidy surprises Genise by signing them up to a haunted mansion tour on Halloween night. Genise agrees to go after she realizes this could help her with her dissertation. On Halloween night Genise and Cassidy arrive to the house and meet the owner of the mansion; Anton Williams. Anton Williams is a rich millionaire, recluse who lives alone in the huge mansion. Genise and Anton fall in love instantly. Anton wants to tell Genise his secret but is worried that she will either not believe him or be frightened by him. Meanwhile there is a presence in the haunted mansion that wants to destroy Genise and Anton's relationship.  I really liked this book. It was very suspenseful and had me reading way passed my bedtime. The surprise twist in the end was unexpected and clever. I loved Genise and Anton's relationship. It was loving and real. I don't usually like insta-love but i liked this. I like how Anton and Genise went on a date to get to know each other better.  This is the first book I've read by this author and it will not be the last. I look forward to reading by her. I received a complimentary ARC copy of this book by Voracious Reader Only and the author for an honest review.

I am new to this author in Sci-Fi and I'm glad found her. She writes a good story after you get past the slow beginning. I know she is setting up the characters and the scene however, I found myself skipping through some of the history and the settings to the real story. That is when the story skyrocketed into a very compelling, interesting, and fun story. I like the characters even when. I didn't like them; Artimisia. She was a little annoying. lol. The hero Rylion Nasos has superhuman strength and is strong and has to handle Rylion when she shows supernatural strengths of her own that threatens the very existence of the God-king Eliezer. I am not going to spoil the book u just have to read it. I hope there is a sequel.  This is the first book I've read by this author and will not be the last. I'm glad I found her and look forward to buying her book on Amazon.  I received a free ARC copy of this book from HIDDENGEMS.com and the author for an honest review.

Through a glass darkly.
The story begins after Darcy’s disastrous first marriage proposal to Elizabeth. Me. Darcy regrets his insulting Elizabeth and her family and seeks to amend. He writes his letter of apology overnight and waits for Elizabeth the next morning. Darcy spots Elizabeth but freezes when he also sees his cousin Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam come down the path to speak with Elizabeth. Mr.Darcy overhears his cousin asking Elizabeth for her hand in marriage. The colonel has just won an estate on a bet and has come into money.  He is then devasted when he hears Elizabeth asks his cousin to ask her again when he is sober; meaning she will accept him. Darcy rips up his letter and leaves. Later, he finds out that Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam have married. Darcy marries Anne. Darcy and Anne have a happy marriage, unlike Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam who aren’t. Fitzwilliam drinks too much neglecting his estate duties because he is affected by the war.              Time passes and Anne and Fitzwilliam pass away. This leaves Elizabeth and Darcy to be together. Elizabeth proposes a secret love affair to Dary, which Darcy does not want. He wants to marry Elizabeth. Elizabeth refuses. She’d rather keep her freedom as a widow.  This leads to many arguments between Elizabeth and Darcy.
This is a good what-if and a good story. I enjoyed it. Well-written. It kept my interest. I loved how the author wrote the characters. Anne wasn’t just a poor soul. She was three -dimensional and I loved how Darcy fell in love with her. Lol. I thought the arguments between Darcy and Elizabeth about getting married or not went on too long. I skipped some of it. Lol. The sex scenes are tastefully written and not sleazy. All in all, I really liked the book. This is the second book I’ve read by this author and it will not be be my last. I love her writing and can not wait for her next book.

Will you spray me down with ice water if I get too hot?
Sabrina and the Earl of Aldington Constantine Westbrook (Con) are in an arranged marriage and live separate lives. She has a crippling social disorder. Con is straightlaced and reserved. After a  failed honeymoon, Con and Sabrina decide to live apart for the rest of their marriage only to come together to make an heir. One day Sabrina arrives at Constantine’s estate to demand more attention from him. She wants their “Twice early “visits” to be more frequent so she can have the next heir and someone to love. Constantine is shocked and surprised by Sabrina’s transformation and demands and agrees. He is so taken aback by this more forceful, confident Sabrina he begins to feel sexually attracted to her. He is confused by this attraction and goes to talk about his feelings to his best friend. Sabrina talks with her best friend who advises her to continue her pursuit. She should seduce the Earl. Sabrina takes this advice and wins Con’s heart.                   This is a well-written slow-burn story between two married people. I love the characters. They were well-rounded. Each had their inner problems however I love how they overcame them and came together. I felt I was watching Con and Sabrina fall in love in real-time in their marriage. It was backward. First, you get married and then you fall in love. Lol. The love scenes are steamy hot and not sleazy. You are reminded it is lovemaking. Lol. This is the first book I've read by this author and will not be the last. I look forward to reading more by this author.
I received an arc copy of this book by this author and Netgalley.com. My review is voluntary.

The Brazen Bluestocking is the first in romance writer, Tracy Sumner’s new series “The Duchess society, and it's sexy, funny, and fun. The story begins with the daughter of an Earl, Hildy Tempelton. She doesn't conform to society’s rules of acting like an Earl’s daughter. She is fearlessly independent and speaks her mind. Hildy considers herself “On the shelf” to be married and spends her time instead of as a matchmaker for the “Duchess Society.” A woman’s club who match young eligible woman with decent good men. One day Hildy is assigned to match the “Bastard Son of the Viscount.”Tobias Streeter. with a suitable wife. Hildy needs to clean up his terrible street rat reputation and make him into a Viscount. However, Hildy didn't expect to find herself extremely attracted to Tobias’s broad shoulders and handsome face. The same can be said for Tobias about Hildy; which is so “Bloody inconvenient.” Lol. I enjoyed this book. It was kind of slow going than the rest of the author's novels. There is a lot of descriptions of the scenery in the beginning before really getting into the main story. That is where it picks up and gets better. I loved the character of Tobias. He was so cynical and rough but he couldn't help falling head over heels with Hildy. I love their bantering. It was sexy, quick, and funny. Hildy was fearless and yet vulnerable when it came to Tobias. I love how three-dimensional Tracy Sumner’s characters are in all her books. This is the eighth (and counting) book I've read by her and it will not be my last just love her stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

3 1/2 stars. Jane is in an accident which leaves her disabled. She has lost the use of her legs. Jane’s financial compensation from her Archeologist job is coming to an end and she needs to find another job hopefully in Archeology. In addition her husband is only thinking about his needs and not Jane’s. Her best friend Isabelle pays for Jane’s rehabilitation which includes the nice-looking, much younger therapist. Jane finds herself attracted to her new therapist however fears he is too young for her and she is married. Jane is caught between her crumbling marriage, recovery and maybe a new love.  I honestly found a great story after I looked past the bad formatting and bad grammar. It kind of reminds me of a soap opera. It has angst, romance, greed, heartfelt moments. Lol. This is the first book I've read by this author. I enjoyed reading this book and will look for more books by this author. I just hope she gets a better editor. Lol.
I received this an ARC copy of this book from HIDDEN GEMS for an honest review. I am voluntarily leaving this review without compensation.

Hitman Alexander Nickolai visits the hospital for a “job” when a little girl walks up to him to ask him to help her wake her mother up from a long sleep. Alexander “Zander” to most tells the little girl he doesn't know how.  However, he is persuaded by the little girl and goes to try to wake the mother up. Zander is transfixed by the mother’s beauty. The little girl asks Zander to kiss her mother like in the fairytales. Zander does what the little girl asks. FBI Agent Ghislaine Khalil opens her eyes to find a stranger smiling down at her. A darkly handsome stranger. Zander smiles and then leaves the room before leaving Ghislaine confused and a little aroused by the dark stranger.
I highly recommend this book. It is a well written dark romance with heart. It hit all my pleasure points. Mafia, beauty and the beast, opposites attract and enemies to lovers romance. I loved that it was a good vs evil FBI vs. Mafia (can they ever be together?) romance.  The characters of Ghislaine and Zander is well written and well rounded. Their chemistry isn’t red hot. This is my first time reading this author and it will not be my last. I will definitely be reading more by this author. I received a complimentary copy from Hidden Gems and the author for an honest review.

Don't be afraid. I feel it too.
I loved this short story. It was romantic heartwarmingly tender and funny. I didn't expect it to be funny. Lol. Georgie and Dex are so well-written. The reader understands Georgie’s desire to remain independent when women in those days were used as pawns. As well as how Dex has to bow to his duty as the next Marques de Westfield and find an appropriate woman to be his duchess before twelve nights.
Dex left years ago, after arguing with his father about wanting to be a geologist instead of taking his rightful place as Duke of Derbyshire. Years later, Dex returns on Christmas eve to his dying father. He then meets his best friend’s little sister, Georgie at said Christmas Eve party. Georgie is now a young beautiful widow. She is fiercely independent. Georgie never wants to get married again after having to marry a horrible older man to pay off her family’s debt. Now she is alone. Her brother Anthony is dead. Her husband is dead. Georgie is afraid she will lose her independence if she marries again.
Georgie insists on setting Dex up with one of her young ladies in her Duchess Society club, which helps young ladies make amenable marriage contracts. Dex only agrees to this arrangement with Georgie to convince her to marry him.
The story is brilliantly written. It is short, sweet, and satisfying like chocolate candy. This is the fourth book I've read by this author. I just love her stories. They are so much fun and romantic. I received an advance review copy for free from BOOKSIRENS.Com. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Review of Katy of Clay
Wow! I'm not sure how to feel about this book. I liked it very much. The story of Katy is very interesting, horrific, and tragic at the same time. It reminded me of a grim fairytale. The horrific and tragic subject of depression and suicide is very graphic and violent in this book. It doesn't shy away at all and can be a trigger for someone sensitive to these subjects. I found myself not wanting to return to the book after putting it down. I confess I was a little taken aback myself and almost DNF this book. However, I continued to read b/c It is so well written and I wanted to know what happens to Katy.
The story is about Katy. She finds out a fact about herself which makes Katy’s life harder. Katy is already addicted to drugs and is suicidal. She is sad and hopeless. Katy feels like there is no hope for her until something happens to make life bearable.
This is the first book I've read by this author. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A creative look into the opposites attract trope.
Grace is a Agathos. An Agathos is an angelic community. An Agathos must bond with males by the age of 25. Grace is the Black Sheep in this community because she is 25 years old and hasn't bonded with another male. She is an outcast and doesn’t know what to do. Her best friend calls her one late night to come get her. Grace arrives to find her friend under the influence of narcotics in which her new friend Riot has just given her. Grace learns Riot is a Diamon. His job is to feed Grace’s drug addiction with as many narcotics as she can stand without any question. In the end, Riot doesn't go with his intended plan and allows Grace to take her friend home. Grace is thankful to Riot. At home Riot and Grace get to know each other and an attraction between them grows.
I enjoyed this story. It was a sweet, bittersweet romp I couldn't put down. It is an original for a harem reversal romance. It is nothing I've read before outside of MAGA. I don't usually like books ending on a cliffhanger however; I didn't mind this one. It ended with an exciting tease of the second book. This is the first book I've read by this author and it will not be last. I look forward to reading her second book. I received an advance copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Of Gods and Monsters
I have read Greek Mythology since I was a kid. I must have checked out every book on Greek Mythology. I love all the stories of gods and goddesses, monsters and heroes. They are the best. I was so excited when I saw this was available on BOOKSIRENS. I snatched it and read it in two days. It is so comprehensive not only did it talk about the stories of Aphrodite and others; it also explained the history of where the story originated. I especially liked that. It doesn’t read as cold and textbook. It is thoroughly researched and written as if the writer is sitting next to you telling you the story. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and will not be the last. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I love the slow burn.
Mila is a victim of a bank robbery. She witnesses a death and has to run away. Mila drives away and gets Into a car crash. She is hit in the back and meets a very tall man with blonde dreadlocks. He is Cal, an undercover cop who is still dressed in disguise from his last case. He apologizes and asks Mila if she wants to get coffee with him. They go to the nearest diner and get to know each other. Mila and Cal then learn Mila is in danger from the thieves who robbed Mila’s bank because she is a witness.
This book is great from start to finish. It grabbed my attention from the first page. I loved the characters. Mila is cute and shy however is brave when she has to be. Lol. Cal was hot and very brave. Their slow burn is great. I was very satisfied with the slow build of Mila’s and Cal’s relationship. It was just right. Not too long and not too short. I'm not a fan of instant love. Lol. I love the action and adventure. It was fast-paced and held my interest through to the end. This is my first novel from this author and will not be my last. I'm going to Amazon.com to buy more by this author. I want to sign up for her newsletter. I received a complimentary advance review copy of this book from BOOKSIRENS.com.
