hi. i literally hate doing this, but i’m in a desperate situation. i’ve had some family issues lately, and haven’t been to work as much and i’ve already renewed my loan and am not eligible to refinance soon, and i do not have the money to get to work at all next week, much less pick up dog food or groceries for myself. i am planning on picking up OT next week but i unfortunately do not have a car, and my public transport does not come by my house, so i’m forced to uber to work.

if anyone could help i’d be eternally grateful. it really doesn’t matter how much, anything would help.

this is literally the bare fucking minimum of all i have to say but are yall done? are yall fucking done with chicago now? can it be over? i mean, like, ive known chicago stans dont give a fuck (and historically have never given a fuck) about indigenous people and sexual assault survivors, but yall have somehow managed to talk yourselves into think toews specifically is okay (and others as well) because, yknow, he's part of the org but he's just a player, he's great off ice, he didnt design the logo or do what kane did so he's fine, blah blah blah.

this is a man that was captain not only during the kane assault scandals (plural.), but during the entirety of the events of the current sexual assault lawsuit against the chicago blackhawks. are yall done yet?

excessively sexualizing teenagers and very young adults no matter that theyre technically legal when youre in your 30s and older is in fact weird, predatory behavior. it is not a kink. individuals in this fandom have been called out for it before but have continued and worsened said behavior and it makes this fandom an actively more unsafe place to be, especially for teens (legal or not!) and young adults. even more important than that: these young players are not massively public figures, they are d-list celebrities at best, and some are literally just university students. stop being fucking gross.

I was hoping to not have to do this again, because it’s so humiliating to ask for help, and also because my ex’s girlfriend stalks my blog - which is why I’ve pretty much stopped sharing anything personal, if anyone was wondering.

But the father of my children cut off all child support. He’s not giving me a penny now. Three hungry teenagers eat a lot, as you might imagine, so my grocery bill has quadrupled and I have the lawyer’s fees to pay as well as the credit cards I’ve had to max getting us up here and settled. He’s also cut off my access to their pharmacy coverage information, so I’ve had to pay cash for all their prescriptions.

(Seems to me someone who has his children’s best interests at heart wouldn’t refuse to help financially and force them to possibly go without necessary medication and, y’know, food. But clearly it’s more important to punish me than it is to actually provide for the kids he claims to love.)

My next book should be available for preorder in the next week. I’m taking the next few days to finish it, and I’ll have a cover reveal soon. But Amazon pays royalties on a two month delay, so even once it’s out, things are going to be tight for awhile longer.

I hate asking for more help. I hate that my ex will read this and think he’s won because I can’t do it on my own yet. I hate everything about this situation. But my kids have stopped shutting down and bursting into tears when they make a mistake because they’ve learned they won’t get screamed at. Their laughter rings through this house. They come to me when they’re upset or have a bad dream because I don’t lock my bedroom door and refuse to answer when they need me in the middle of the night. It’s been worth it to see how they’ve blossomed, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I had to. I just… need a little more help until this is settled.
