Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey perform Money Makes the World Go Around in the ABC Pictures/Bob Fosse dramatic musical Cabaret, 1972. Both Liza and Joel won Academy Awards for their work in this movie, which also won Oscars for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Sound, Best Original Song Score, and Best Film Editing. Almost 50 years later, Cabaret still holds the record for the most Oscar wins for a film that wasn’t honored in the Best Picture category.
