The mystery of Boris' cropped soles.

I don't know what kind of magical coincidence made me find TWO different pieces of wonderful Chernobyl news these past few days, the first one being that Valery's house is finally renovated and turned into a museum, the second being these INSANE "new" Chernobyl publicity shot galleries from Kinorium. And as I made comparisons between the old versions of the publicity shots I had saved back then and these new treasures, look at THIS.

In this first pic, there's nothing at Boris' feet.

The second pic, from the Sky site, is cropped, you can hardly see Boris' soles. Makes you wonder why they'd crop his shoes at such an awkward angle...

And here's the answer: in the original shot there's something at Boris' feet. Probably a prop used to show Stellan where to stand for the shot. 😍
