The ability for Jewish people say that a Jewish person is minimizing the atrocity of the Holocaust by comparing it to the genocide in Gaza when he just helped make a movie about one of many stories of Jewish suffering during the Holocaust that won an award. Just goes to show how people will get so defensive when someone points out that what their supporting may be wrong so you twist someone's words so that it looks like an attack on you and you can be the victim that is standing up to their ignorance and bullying.
Maybe if these people broke out of their biases and acknowledged that maybe the victims have now become the bullies they would understand. 'Cause guess what? It's actually pretty common for people to harm others when they have been harmed so is it really out of the question for a whole government to do the same? Really?
I urge people to use their critical thinking skills to look at the facts and remember that having humanity and seeking justice means that you care about the atrocities that happen to any kind of person and not just the ones that are like you.
I am appalled that so many Jewish creators and business people are justifying this genocide by almost saying what their ancestors went through is worse.
I am also simultaneously relieved and proud of every Jewish person who sees the similarities of their ancestors to the suffering of the Palestinians. They and everyone else supporting the Palestinians can fight for people unlike them because they are human beings who do not deserve to be slaughtered. They are being murdered because they are considered to be less than another group with more power. They understand that Palestinians deserve to have a life of peace joy and safety. They deserve to thrive just as everyone deserves a chance to thrive and not just survive.
This genocide is just more evidence to prove that this violence has more to do with caste systems in the world than just basing it off of intolerance of religion, race, gender, sexuality, or any other feature. It is about one group having the power to say I think I am better than you for whatever reason and therefore I have the right to decide whether you live or die and it is okay because I am better than you. It is a fact that because I have more power, I am better than you and I am worth more than you. It isn't just a hate but indifference to those unlike you that is a dangerous thing to have in this world.
I needed to express some of my thoughts on this because it has bothered me so much the way people are overlooking this and reducing what is happening in Gaza.

The "Israel" mentioned in the Quran is NOT a country
I have been seeing an incredibly misinformed piece of Zionist propaganda going around and just wanted to set the record straight. This image basically says that "The word israel is mentioned 43 times in the Quran" and that "Israel is older than Islam". I just wanted to clarify for the idiots who keep reblogging that shit that the Israel mentioned in the Quran is "Bani Isra'il" which refers to the sons of Jacob or the Jewish people. In NO WAY does the Quran refer to Israel as a country. A very quick google source could teach you guys this. I see people saying that Palestine is not mentioned in the Quran therefore it is not a country. By that (very stupid) logic, Australia is not a country either because the Quran doesn't mention it.
Do not use the Quran to justify your genocide. That's not what it's meant to do.
So no, Israel is not older than my grandma and no it's definitely not older than Islam.

I wonder why the mainstream media never told this story. I am really perplexed. Like #msnbc #cnn #nyt #wp etc.

This isn't the first time. Last year, the IDF would leave behind explosives disguised to look like toys (they did this in Lebanon as well)

Judaism is a religion, but it's much older than most people's understanding of the term.
Judaism is an ethnoreligion, the religion of the Jewish people.
We're not Jews because we practice Judaism. We practice Judaism because we're Jews.
i know what you're saying, but most religions can say the same thing. Most Catholics are Catholic because their grandparents were, going back for generations. Most Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists were born into their religion just the same, (and there's more genetic/racial variability among the world's Jews than either of those three groups).
The bottom line is if someone can convert to your religion then it's more of a religion than an ethnic group (a non-Jew like me could convert to Judaism and then get subsidies and IDF protection to go steal some Palestinian land under current Israeli law). This is further proven by the fact that there are black Jewish people from Africa, middle eastern (Mizrahi) Jews from that part of the world, and white (Ashkenazi) Jews from Europe. Y'all look nothing alike and belong three distinct ethnic/racial groups.
Plenty of scientific papers have been written about how Ashkenazi jews are white Europeans, too. DNA doesn't lie.
It was Hitler who popularized the idea that European Jews weren't white, and it's still the main idea white nationalists rely on to justify their antisemitism. They don't believe wrong doings by individual Jews or the state of Israel are caused by things like social learning, propaganda and culture, but by immutable genetic characteristics that just inherently make Jews "bad" people.
So it's super dangerous and crazy that Zionists have fully bought into that bigoted lie and now push it harder than anyone else.
