Experience.
Wow. It’s officially been a month since I joined the Intersection team, and I’m still speechless. I never expected the opportunities I would be granted until I stepped through the doors. I expected to learn, and to be given duties as any internship would offer me, but Intersection provided me with so much more.
I explored DWNTWN with some pretty awesome people. I sat in on an Immersion session and heard the passions of others. I learned that Caffienery located work sessions are pretty productive. I watched Shelley finally become the librarian of a Little Free Library, a pretty awesome life goal. I received great information and tips to branding. Most importantly, I have experienced.
I’m learning that an internship is about the journey. From the start to finish, and everywhere in between. Each day is different when I come into the most open and creative office space I’ve seen. There are unexpected deadlines, mid-afternoon laughs, and projects always to be working on. Instead of rushing through my busy schedule and not noticing the world around me, Intersection is teaching me to love the path I’m on and remember every moment of it.
So, in conclusion: It just keeps getting better.

Tuesday Update!
Today was a big day! We had the opportunity to present Search the Original: A New Way to Discover DWNTWN to the DWNTWN Muncie Board of Directors. It was exciting to share a project we’ve been working on all summer long with everyone.
Yesterday was Joe’s birthday, so naturally we celebrated with wings, cupcakes and dinosaur party hats. It’s been a crazy couple days as we are all trying to wrap up our work, but tomorrow we will be celebrating our successful summer!
Intersection has been a blast, and I’m so happy to have been able to work here! It’s been a great learning experience and will definitely be a summer I won’t forget.

Time flies when you’re having fun...
Today is July 14, which means we only have eight more days together!  (Even though we are never letting Joe leave Indiana)
We’ve been busying researching and working on brand materials for several clients. We are also perfecting all the little details of our Internsection website.
Here’s to the last week!

A Week and a 1/2 Left!
Hey all! We’re getting close to the end of our internship, and we’re still busy as ever! This week we’ve been doing a lot of logo work and our main focus is the rebranding of the Hot Meals Program. Ally and Shelley came back this week from some awesome meetings last week and shared with us all they’ve learned over the past few days.
We also got some dinosaur grabbers, which is pretty cool. Now back to work!

Ally, Shelley, and Arielle were gone last week to visit Indianapolis with other talent from Intersection and JDA. They had motivational meetings and heard wise words from a few different speakers. They came back to Muncie and were able to share their experiences with the interns! We can see their passion and its rubbing off on us. One of our goals going forward is going to be living in the moment. We are excited to continue this journey at Intersection.
Happy Monday, friends!

We took a short break to celebrate Half-Christmas here at Intersection! All presents had to be handmade, re-gifted or stolen! FYI, we also got a new intern in the office, Madelyn, to help us out with some illustrating.
Now back to work!

What we’ve been up to...
Last week flew by, as the he team spent a couple days with Walls Furniture for a commercial shoot. The shoot was another opportunity to witness all the hard work that goes into even just a minute-long video. Michael also finished up his last day and headed to Maine for another summer venture.
We had a busy day yesterday, but we were able to spend our lunch together in Canan Commons with grilled cheeses from The Wedge and some sunshine.
After several days of hard work and multiple edits, we were finally able to present our recycling campaign to the Muncie Sanitary District this morning. The team felt good about the overall presentation, though we are always looking to improve.
I personally can’t believe how quickly our time at Intersection is flying. This is truly the best internship, as we have the opportunity to experience so many different aspects of the advertising and marketing industry. Every day is an adventure, and I walk into the office always knowing I’m about to learn something new.
Till next time,
Kelsey

And today was a day like any other... Who am I kidding, every week is different at Intersection. And its awesome! The air conditioning is being troublesome, but that doesn’t stop us! Megan is attending the DWNTWN meeting with Shelley. The other interns are back at the office designing, writing, and brainstorming.
Happy Monday!
