“I’ve always just enjoyed acting with her. She’s a rush to act with. She’s 110 percent there all the time, constantly trying to make it better and that’s been enjoyable over the years, our arc of the relationship”- Robert John Burke

In these really weird times I’ve been asked, “Wouldn’t you like to have The West Wing on again?” Or, “What would you write now?” The answer is, I would put any West Wing episode on the air just to show what it looks like when a normal press conference is happening where reporters ask reasonable questions and get answers.      But even more, when Bartlet and Leo quote Thomas Merton, I’m paraphrasing here, he says, “I don’t always know what the right thing is to do, Lord, but I think the fact that I want to please you pleases you.” In other words, trying really hard to do the right thing is the right thing. I don’t know if Bartlet did the right thing or the wrong thing at the end by ordering the assassination. But clearly everyone involved in this – from Bartlet, to Leo, to Fitzwallace – tried to do the right thing. They thought it through from every angle. I think that is what we’re craving in the real White House. They aren’t arriving at decisions in ways that are worthy of where they work. - Aaron Sorkin

How’s everyone holding up after tucker? Honestly I’ve always been so back and forth with him but when he began seeing Liv I really started to like his character a little more. This was really sad…

get to know me meme: 10/10+ favorite female characters (in no particular order):
↳ Abbey Bartlet (The West Wing): “So we’re for freedom of speech everywhere but poor countries, where they can have our help, but only if they live up to Clancy Bangert’s moral standards? What the hell kind of free world are you running?”
