Help an Ultrakill dev recover from acute parietal haematoma

"Hello, my name is Lois and I have created this GoFundMe to assist in my twin brother's recovery from an acute parietal haematoma. This massive brain bleed has resulted in paralysis of the right side of the body, extreme weakness in the rest of his body, and the inability to speak. Current cognitive status is still been evaluated. There is a long road to recovery ahead, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology."

The quake mapper and 3d modeler Samuel2213 recently suffered a Parietal Haematoma. It happened a few days ago and he's stable, but he has a long road to recovery, and is lucky to be alive. He's a lead 3d modeler for Ultrakill and Wrath Aeon of Ruin, he did the models for gabriel, v1, and many of the other enemies. if you love those games please help out. Here's some of his work you might know.

Update, 04/06/2024

I am so unfathomably, unbelievably proud of you.

This post has quickly shot up to the top of Tumblr's Ultrakill tag. We've surpassed the fundraiser goal! I'd like to thank some of my favorite artists who found this post, @punkitt-is-here , @pansear-doodles , @makkon , as well as the 2,876 people who also shared this message. I'd also like to thank the New Blood Team, Arsi Patala, Dave Oshry, and the Quake Mapping discord server for raising awareness about Sam and making so many donations.

And on top of that, Samuel is recovering quite well. He still has a long way to recovery and will need extensive medical assistance, but I believe he will make a full recovery. Keep him in your prayers.

My account only has 20 followers, and quite frankly I'm okay with that! But by putting out a single post about someone in need, I somehow was able to reach so many people. I truly feel that we have all blessed Sam's life in an important way, and your collective actions give me hope for the future.

If you are ever struggling, remember there are people out there who love you and will lift you up, more people than you could ever imagine. Your voice can reach thousands, millions, even billions of people, and the things you do will influence countless lives.

If there are any more updates on Sam's recovery I won't hesitate to share them.

Wow, I did not expect this post to explode the way it did. 1,000 reblogs in the space of 12 hours! On top of that, a ton of donations to the gofundme went through today. I am beyond words. It feels like such a tiny thing I did had important consequences, and I'm so proud of every single one of you. I have a new Quake map out, as part of SM228: Vanilla!

It's intentionally pretty short, and also contains very simplified representations of areas from my comic. In the spirit of the event, I also turned off smoothing & extra4 (higher resolutions) on lighting to make it even chunkier.
