DARKNESS - Kevin Atwater x Reader
Opening your eyes you were surrounded by more darkness, your head was pounding and you felt like throwing up. The last thing you could remember was helping Nadia get some decorations out of the boot of Erin’s car, where was Nadia?
You tried to move around but you could feel your hand and feet both tied up, your eyes adjusted to the darkness and you could tell that you were in a car boot. Your mouth was taped shut, you slowed your breathing and listened for any noise.
“There going to find you, please let me go.” You could hear Nadia’s muffled voice but you couldn’t hear who she was with.
“HELP, PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!” You heard Nadia scream followed by the radio being turned up. Using this noise to cover what you was doing, you tried to kick out the lights from inside the boot.
You gave up with that not having any luck, so you tried slamming your feet into the side of the car. You felt the car starting to slow down, you started to prepare yourself to kick out at whoever opened the boot. As soon as the boot opened you started kicking your legs, your eyes met the eyes of your kidnapper. Greg Yates. He managed to get the drop on you, hitting you in the stomach with a tyre iron and then hitting you in the face. Groaning, you curled up in pain you were pretty sure you had broken some ribs. Greg was quick to throw Nadia into the boot with you, un-taping her mouth. He started talking about the sunrise but Nadia interrupted him, you stared up at Greg.
“Let me and Y/N go!” She sounded as firm as she could with her shaky voice.
“Ohhh, all the girls say that. Please don’t kill me, I’ll do whatever you want. Pretty soon you’ll both be begging for your lives. Towards the end you’ll cry for your mummy.” Greg stroked Nadia’s face as he said this.
“Not me.”
“Oh you will. Y/N wasn’t even meant to be here Nadia, it was your fault. I had to take her.” His angry eyes landed on you, and in that moment you truly feared for your life.
“If you kill us, Hank Voight is going to track you down and make you wish you had never been born.” She spat at him when she had finished speaking.
“Enough small talk for now.” Greg put the tape back over Nadia’s mouth. “If either of you two does anything I’ll hurt the other one.” He finished by slamming the boot shut, immersing you both into more darkness.
All you could think of was seeing Kevin again, and apologising for that stupid argument you had before work and telling him how much you loved him. You couldn’t even remember what it was about, and now you might never get the chance to sort it out.
After driving through most of the night you felt the car slowly coming to a stop. The boot opened, sunlight blinding you. Greg grabbed a hold of Nadia, chucking her into the boot of another car and then doing the same for you. The car started moving again, you moved closer to Nadia rest your head against her shoulder trying to comfort her.
It didn’t feel like you had been driving for very long when the car came to a stop, when the boot opened you tried to get your bearings having no idea where you were. You were both dragged into a room and thrown on the floor, Greg crouched down in front of you green nail polish in his hand. It didn’t take him long to paint both yours and Nadia’s nails, he stood up and started making his way towards Nadia.
You swung your legs round, effectively tripping Greg up. You went to kick him but he was quicker, he grabbed a hold of your legs and pulled you towards him. He slammed your body against the ground, your head bounced off the ground disorientating you. Greg used this moment to climb on top of you, closing his hands around your throat cutting off your oxygen. You fought as much as you could, your eyes going blurry, everything began to fade out. Just before you lost consciousness you saw Nadia knocking Greg off you, he instantly turned his attention to her dragging her away as everything went black.
You forced your eyes open, immediately knowing you were back in the boot of a car. Alone. You couldn’t hear anything, panicking you started kicking the inside of the boot hoping someone would hear you. Your ears were ringing, and your vision kept going blurry. You remembered what happened just before you lost consciousness, you shifted around in the boot hoping to feel Nadia beside you but there was nothing.
Voices pulled you out of your thoughts about Nadia, you lost track of how long you had been conscious in this boot. You could only just hear voices over the ringing of your ears, you heard someone at the boots of the car. You watched the boot open and prepared yourself for whatever Greg was about to do. The blurriness cleared slightly and you could see Hank and Antonio, you hated how they were looking at you. Hank cut the restraints on your hands and feet, both helping you up onto your wobbly legs. Hank touched your bruised face his face angry, you felt your knees buckle before you could hit the ground Antonio caught you picking you up.
“Nadia, where is she? Is she safe?” Your speech was slightly slurred. You felt pain radiating through your body, you slumped against Antonio finally feeling safe.
Before Antonio could reply Kevin had raced up to you. “I’m here baby, you’re safe now. I’ve got you.” He gently took you out Antonio’s arms apologising when he saw you wince. Kevin’s worried face was the last thing you saw before the darkness consumed you once again.
——-
There was a constant beeping, you shot up in the bed, breathing coming in quick pants. Someone placed there hands on your shoulders, not knowing who it was started fighting them off. You felt trapped, felt like you were back in the boot of that car.
“Baby, calm down. Y/N, it’s me.” Kevin spoke.
“Kev.” You relaxed back into his arms, recognising the hospital room from the last time you briefly woke up.
“Y/N baby, I’m so glad you’re okay.” You looked down at the hand Kevin grabbed, your body froze as your eyes landed on the green nail polish.
“Nadia, Kevin where’s Nadia? Did you find her?” The look on his face said it all and you could feel the tears already falling.
“She’s dead Y/N, we found her body yesterday on the island.” Kevin
“No. It’s all my fault, she saved my life Kev. If she hadn’t of saved me she would still be alive. It’s my fault she’s dead.” You sobbed into his chest, his arms soothingly rubbing circles on your back. The door to your room opened and the rest of the team walked in, Hank headed straight over to your bed.
“Y/N this wasn’t your fault, none of this was. Nadia would never want you to take the blame for this. We’ve got the son of a bitch and we’re going to make sure he pays for everything he’s done.” You nodded, knowing deep down he was right.
“I was so scared Y/N. I thought I’d lost you forever. I thought I’d never get to apologise for that stupid argument we had.” You had settled back into Kevin’s arms, he was stroking your hair and pressing kisses to the top of your head.
“I didn’t think I’d survive this Kev, I love you.” You turned around pressing your lips to his.
You knew your road to recovery was going to be a long one, but you knew you’d make it. You had Kevin and the team, and you had Nadia. She had saved your life and you owed it to her to fight.

HEARTBREAK BABY -Greg Gerwitz x Reader
Your hand pounded on Jay’s door, if anyone knew where Greg was it was him. As soon as the door opened you pushed past him, pacing the length of the kitchen as he followed you in.
“Where is he Jay? I get home and half his stuff is missing and he won’t pick up the phone.” Your voice shook as you pushed your hair out of your face staring up at Jay.
“He didn’t tell you? Y/N he re-enlisted with the rangers, he said he’d spoken to you about it.” Jay took a step closer to you.
“He hasn’t spoken properly to me in the last two weeks Jay, I had no idea. Why didn’t he tell me?” The tears you had tried so hard to keep in had finally escaped.
“Y/N I’m so sorry, it’s going to be okay. He’ll be back.” He sighed pulling you into his arms as you sobbed.
“He left me Jay, he didn’t even tell me he was going and now he’s going to miss out on his baby’s life.” Your whole body shook with your sobs. You couldn’t believe this, how could he leave you without even telling you where he was going. “I don’t want to see him again. If he walked out of my life I don’t want him to ever have the chance of walking out of my baby’s life.” You hand covered your stomach, your heart was breaking but you had to be strong.
“Y/N your pregnant?” Jay guided you over to the sofa, rushing back into the kitchen to fill a glass of water and returning to you. He held the glass out to you, encouraging you to take a sip.
“I found out a couple of days ago, I tried telling Greg but we haven’t really been speaking. I was going to tell him tonight.” You sighed placing the glass onto the table, relaxing back into the sofa.
“You should let him know, he’ll be so happy and he’ll come straight home. Congratulations Y/N” he pulled you into his arms giving you the hug you needed, you rested your head on his chest.
“I don’t want him to come back just because of the baby Jay. I wasn’t enough to make him want to stay and have a life with me, why should I put my baby through that.” You felt exhausted mentally and physically.
“You know he wouldn’t come back just cause of the baby, he loves you. And he’s an idiot for not speaking to you about the rangers.” Jay’s fingers ran up and down your back soothing you.
“He made his decision Jay. Now I’ve made mine, I’m not telling him.” Your eyes shut, the back tickles lulling you to sleep, you felt Jay sigh.
—————————-
At seven months pregnant you felt huge, you couldn’t even bend down to put your shoes on anymore. You sat on the sofa in your apartment waiting for Jay to finish the last touches to the nursery. Jay had been your rock the past seven months, he went to all appointments with you, helped with the nursery, put your shoes on when you needed him too. You didn’t know what you would’ve done if he hadn’t supported you.
“Greg asked about you again Y/N.” Jay announced as he walked into the room.
“He can keep asking Jay, I don’t want to talk to him.” Your hand rubbed your swollen stomach, soothing the fidgeting baby.
“Y/N, I think you should tell him about the baby.” He knew he was walking on thin ice with this comment.
“Jay it’s none of your business, just like it’s none of his. He walked out of my life, and I’m doing fine without him. I don’t want to talk about this or him again okay?” You felt frustrated.
Everyone thought that you should tell Greg, but no one could understand how much he hurt you. How heartbroken you felt everyday without him, of course you wanted him in yours and your babies life. But you couldn’t risk anymore heartbreak.
Pain shoot across your abdomen, you winced and rubbed your stomach. Jay crouched down in front of you, you could see how concerned he was just by looking at him.
“I’m fine it’s just Braxton hicks, I’m fine.” You took a deep breath the pain coming and going.
“Are you sure?” He said.
“I’m sure Jay, you’ll be the first to know when the little one wants to make an appearance.” You took his hand placing it over your stomach so he could feel the baby moving.
—————————-
You were fed up of being pregnant now. You felt like you spent most of your day going to and from the bathroom. That and the lower back pain that you were experiencing made you want your baby here sooner rather than later.
Walking into the kitchen you grabbed the jar of peanut butter and grabbed the pickles out of the fridge, placing everything on the side you took the lids off and dug in. You moaned as you bit into a pickle covered in peanut butter, you looked up at the door as you heard a knock.
“Door’s open Jay!” You shouted, going back to enjoying your favourite craving.
“Y/N.” He said.
You dropped the pickle you held, not expecting to ever hear that voice again. Looking up you felt your chest tighten as you made eye contact with him, your hand protectively covered your swollen stomach. His eyes dropped down to your stomach, his eyes widened in shock.
“What are you doing here.” You watched him take a step towards you and instantly took a step back.
“Why didn’t you tell me about the baby?” He didn’t take any more steps towards you.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were leaving me?” You bitterly laughed out. Your hand massaged the pain in your lower back, you felt tears welling up in your eyes.
“I’m sorry, I should of never of left you Y/N. I should have spoke to you about it, I’m so sorry.” He didn’t know what else to say.
“Sorry isn’t good enough Greg! I don’t want you here!” The pain in your lower back started spreading to your stomach.
“Y/N that’s my baby your carrying, I want to be here!” He shouted coming closer to you, stopping when he was stood in front of you.
You felt a gush of liquid splash down your legs and feet, also splashing over Greg’s feet. It was followed by an intense contraction that had you hunching over, gripping onto Greg’s arm.
“Shit, Y/N. What do I do? Shall I call and ambulance? I should call an ambulance.” Greg was freaking out.
“Oh god Greg, just shut up and call Jay.” You tried to remember the breathing techniques you were taught.
You didn’t pay attention to Greg’s phone call, you walked away to change out of the wet clothes. As you walked back in, another intense contraction hit you. You stopped, gripping onto your stomach groaning in pain.
“Y/N! I’m getting you to the hospital now, Jay will meet us there.” He took a hold of your arm and helped you outside to his car.
—————————-
Nobody could prepare you for the pain of labour, each contraction felt like it was getting worse. Jay hadn’t yet turned up, so you had Greg fussing over you trying to help.
“I’m just going to go see where Jay is.” Greg started walking away from your stood up position leaning over the bed.
“No!” You grabbed his arm stopping him. “Please don’t leave me again Greg please.” You sobbed.
Greg swore to himself right there and then that he would never leave your side, he hated himself for breaking your heart.
“I’m not going anywhere sweetheart, I’m going to be right by your side this whole time. And then you’ll have some trouble getting rid of me because I’m never leaving you again. I love you Y/N?” His hand was resting on your cheek thumb slowly stroking.
“I love you Greg.” You pulled him down by his collar and attached your lips to his. “Shit, Greg I think it’s time.” You panted, half breathless from the kiss the other half from the most intense contraction you had felt which made you feel like pushing.
Two hours later, Greg was sat on the hospital bed, you cuddled up into his side asleep and him holding your tiny baby boy. His heart felt like it was going to burst out of his chest, he was so proud of you. He promised to spend the rest of his life making it up to you for walking out that door. And you were never going to let him go again, even asleep your hand tightly gripped his shirt.
When you had woken up you was still cuddled up in Greg’s arms, you nuzzled into his chest savouring the moment. You heard someone’s voice so you pushed up from Greg’s chest and looked around the room, your eyes falling on Jay holding your baby boy. A smile formed on your face and you turned back to face Greg seeing the same smile, his hands came to the side of your face and he pulled you in for a kiss.
“Excuse me, there a baby in the room he doesn’t want to be scarred so early in life.” Jay interrupted.
“He has his godfather to shield his eyes I think he’ll be okay.” You settled yourself against Greg’s chest watching Jay’s reaction.
“You want me to be his godfather?” Jay was shocked.
“Of course Jay, I wouldn’t have survived this pregnancy without you.” You watched Jay’s eyes tear up as he looked down at your baby.
“I love you Y/N, you and our beautiful son.” Greg’s arms wrapped around you and you finally felt like everything was as it was meant to be.

DON’T BE AFRAID - Jay Halstead x Reader
You took a shaky breath, pain shooting throughout your body, a whimper escaping your lips. The streetlights above you were blurry, blood coated your hands escaping the bullet wound on your stomach. You could hear the desperate voices of your team asking for your location but you couldn’t respond.
“Y/N!” Jay screamed. He dropped to his knees beside you, hands pressing into yours to help slow the bleeding.
“Jay.” You gasped out in pain. Your eyes searched his face stopping on the tears leaking from his eyes, a small smile graced your face. “Why are you crying?” You moves your hand on top of his gently squeezing it.
He took a deep breath trying to keep himself together for your sake. “Get the ambulance!” He shouted over to the rest of the team, Antonio radioed over straight away as the rest of the team surrounded you.
“Don’t be afraid.” Blood coated your lips as you struggled to say this. Jay’s eyes darted back down to you, you could see the heartbreak on his face. “You’ll be okay.” Your eyes felt heavy, blood loss was finally catching up to you.
“Y/N, stay awake, don’t close those beautiful eyes.” His hand stroked your cheek.
Your grip on consciousness was starting to fail, Jay shook you forcing your eyes to open. “I’m sorry.” You gasp.
“No. Y/N please.” He sobbed. “You can’t go. We’re meant for each other.” He knew what was coming but nothing could prepare him.
“I love you Jay.” Your voice was barely a whisper. “I don’t want to leave you.” You felt numb, the pain had faded. Eyes closing your head dropped to the side.
Jay scoped your body up into his arms his head resting against your chest as a gut wrenching sob tore from his throat. “I love you. I love you. I love you. I’ll always love you Y/N.” He presses a kiss to your forehead, watching as your chest stopped moving and you struggled with your last breath.
Voight placed his hand on Jay’s back, his own heart felt heavy. No one said anything when the ambulance finally pulled up, knowing it was already too late.
You were gone.
And Jay would never be the same again.
