In Japan they have a separate line for people who just want to walk through the castle and appreciate it... and NO ONE was using it. You get to stay in any room or area as long as you like, take in every little detail and give your muggle camera a whirl. It was perfect. I think Jay and I sat through 3 rounds of listening to the trio speak Japanese. Left Osaka yesterday and headed to Kyoto for some mountain time among the Fushimi Inari-taisha shrines 伏見稲荷大社. This place had a type of beauty that I had never experienced before. Inari is the Shinto god of rice, business and merchants. You climb up the mountain through these orange torii pathways. Good morning from Osaka! We have a traditional Japanese studio apartment for our stay here. The bed is a Japanese "futon" which is basically a two inch thick peice of the most comfortable memory foam that you lay on the floor with a mountain of fluffy down blankets.
