Bit of a heads up for the fanfiction yk

Decided I'll go ahead and let you guys all know that the first chapter of the Sparklecare fanfiction will be entirely based off of Jinkles' background and what his childhood was like. I mainly decided to do this because It's pretty important to know what he went through to make him act like he does

There will be an actual plot to the story but chapters like this will basically be "special" chapters, basically breaking from the main story for fluff or backstories. There will be no "adult" things in the fanfiction, but there will be references to it and there will be content that some find disturbing. I'll be entirely sure to put warnings at the beginning of every chapter, of course.

But yeah!! It won't be too long till the first part comes out. Each chapter will also usually have the title of a song that I think fits it, though some may have original titles :)

Fun facts about Bree because I love her

Similar to Jinkles, Bree has been revolving around in my head like she's in a microwave, so here's some fun facts about it!! The fanfiction is still underway, I'm writing some rough drafts while I wait for my invitation for AO3 to send

Tw//Mentions of decomposition, taxidermy, bones, blood, and knives

Bree is interested in some more dark themes, though not how Jinkles is. She has a healthy interest in things such as taxidermy, bone collecting, and the way in which things decompose, which is fitting considering she works in a morgue

Due to its right ear being torn up, Bree cannot hear very well on her left side. This leads to it being more on edge when someone is standing on that side of her

Bree does not have the same hatred for Jinkles that Plug does, nor does it necessarily dislike any of the patients. It definitely isn't a fan of Cuddles whatsoever, but she doesn't really care about or mention him unless he does something that interrupts her work. She basically has a "do what I need to do, get out" mentality when it comes to its job

Since she rarely speaks and genuinely seems to pop out of nowhere, it has a history of being called "off-putting" by patients and even other staff members. Despite this, she is good friends with Doctor Puppy. The two regularly speak to each other when they can, and Puppy believes Bree is "cute" despite her personality. Bree doesn't know how lo can find it cute, but doesn't complain

Bree has trouble expressing emotions in many ways. When faced with a saddening event, she has more of a tendency to just "shut down" instead of being visibly upset. It's incredibly hard to make her visibly angry, as it usually just seems more annoyed if someone does something with the intention of angering it

She is only 4'10, it gets its height from its mom's side, since she is a bear whilst its dad is a rabbit. Despite being pink and having rabbit-like features, she is in no way related to Cuddles. Her and his family do have some history in "business" ventures, however

It enjoys collecting small daggers and knives, as well as other, more mundane, knick-knacks. While she wears a plain coat to work, the ones it wears outside are usually covered in decorative patches with designs on the sleeves that it has sewn in itself. She simply doesn't want to get any of her "better" coats ruined with blood from her workplace

It would enjoy musicians such as Penelope Scott and Sodikken

Decided to answer this ask because it's the perfect one to follow the last- you remind me of Nurse Mood!!

Nurse Mood is probably the sweetest at the hospital. She genuinely cares for the patients and staff around her, and frankly wishes that they were all in a better situation. She's known for always seeing the bright side during the darkest moments, and actually feeling remorse for what she has to do

She can be a bit oblivious to things around her if they're not clearly stated, and can sometimes find it hard to understand the feelings of others. She can also be inpatient at times, but not with those that she loves. If she makes a mistake, she's bound to try and correct it

Jinkles fun facts bc I love him

I knowww I should probably be drawing right now but my autistic self decided I wanted to rant about my favorite clown ever!! If you wanna know something else or about my other characters (or just the fanfic in general) shoot an ask!!

Jinkles is very fluffy and skinny! This is due to his entire family being made up of mostly showdogs, he eats plenty but due to his high metabolism he can't help but be on the smaller side

His favorite fast food place is WcDonald's! He loves getting French fries and dipping them into his ice cream, they're his favorite food combo ever!!

He didn't know he was trans at a young age. He started experimenting with his gender at around 12 and started identifying as trans at about 14

His voice is very silly and energetic! I imagine him sounding like Wonder from Wonder Over Yonder

He's known Cuddles since childhood and that's probably why he cares about him despite him being- well, himself. They have a Pinky and The Brain dynamic together

He runs a show group named the Sparklecircus! (name may not be final) Although they travel now and again, their main job is to entertain the patients at the hospital, even if their acts contain more- concerning activities. You'll be meeting the rest of the group in the fanfic!

His favorite weapon is the chainsaw

He loves horror movies and franchises!! I won't be naming any of the things he would enjoy because they would definitely be disturbing and I'm not making parodies of them, but he does enjoy some more tame horror movies

He's a fan of My Tiny Fillies! (Spinch's version of My Little Pony) His favorite character is Pinky Pii (Pinkie Pie)

You honestly give me Nurse Doom Vibes!!

Nurse Doom is known for their awkward and snappy nature, especially for being rude to others. He honestly just uses this as a way to defend himself, being afraid of actually growing close to anyone around them

Thankfully, they're very kind to those close to him. He loves any form of affection from those he cares about, and they love it when they're praised for what they're doing. Despite his issues, he works to be a better person every day

SMALL Intros to some of my Sparklecare OCs because I'm so normal about them

All of these guys are gonna be in the fanfic plus some others!! I can't currently make any doodles of them but you may see some art in the future!! I'll be explaining their appearances in the fanfic

Jinkles G. Jangle - Species: Mudi Dog - Trans boy, He/Him pronouns - Pansexual - Allotpun: "Jingle Jangle" - Ringleader and Clown of the Sparklecircus

Super ecstatic and excitable guy!! Speech patterns include many marks (Ex: "What???!!!!" "Awww!!!!")

Despite his sweet nature, he is not to be trusted. Shows no remorse for his cruel actions towards his "customers", doesn't seem to see why what he does is wrong

Very buddy-buddy with Cuddles, somehow genuinely likes that guy as a person; nobody knows how

Acts friendly to patients as if he hasn't hurt them multiple times, generally gives a lot of mixed singles as a person

Big fan of things others would deem disturbing, such as movies or flash series with very dark themes. He's genuinely very desensitized to those sorts of things (For reasons you will later learn)

Harvey U.N. Plug, "Professor Plug" - Species: Fruit/Vampire Bat - Agender, He/They/It pronouns - Achillean - Allotpun: "Unplug, Hardly Unplugged" - In charge of media propaganda of Sparklecare

Very easily irritated, snappy towards those it doesn't know

Very annoyed by most of the more cheerful staff members, VERY annoyed by Jinkles due to his "partnership" with Cuddles

Actually a very good actor; they have a love for theatre and movies, some of his favorites include Turklet(Hamlet) and Tiny Store Of Terrors (Little Shop Of Horrors)

Dislikes bright lights, wears glasses not due to bad eyesight, but to keep lights out of its eyes. His office is constantly very dim, though it does keep some small lights on in case others come inside; there have been many issues with people walking in and knocking things over in the darkness

Loves attention, but finds it easy to get stressed out from it; he has an inflated ego, but holds those close to them higher than itself

Bree Kein Heartz - Species: Rabbit/Bear - Non-Binary, She/It pronouns - Ace Sapphic - Allotpun: "Breaking Hearts" - Mortician of Sparklecare

Very quiet and secluded person, pessimistic as well. It's very up-front about things in conversations, usually not caring if she comes off as rude, especially if it's towards Cuddles

Usually she finds energetic people tiring due to its own low energy, but she has quite a soft spot for doctor Puppy

Has a deep, androgynous voice that is hard to read the tone of. Paired with its usual blank expression, it's extremely hard to read its emotions

She genuinely has a talent for what she does, she takes good care of the bodies inside the hospital, and handles them with respect

It doesn't like what happens at the hospital, but it cannot get a job elsewhere due to her questionable family history (which you will learn more of)

All I needed was a quick glance at your profile and I already knew who you reminded me of!! You DEFINITELY give the vibes of Uni Cornelius!!

Uni is a very excitable and energetic person. She's always up for whatever her friends want to do, especially if it's a prank or something generally mischevious

She tends to get attached to people very quickly and easily, quickly becoming friends with whoever she likes. She can be a bit overboard with things at times, but always makes sure that her friends are comfortable around her!
