THE SMALL HUFF OF A LAUGH WAS TELLING ON GRAY'S THOUGHTS. oh she totally ditched town. he leaned forward a bit more on the bar, resting his elbow on the counter and chin against his palm, watching the ring mage's expression with a curiosity. he felt his eyebrow quirk at the other's comment about a certain card mage.

WHAT LITTLE SMIRK HE HAD FELL INTO A GRIMACE AT THE SECOND HALF OF LOKE'S STATEMENT. he wasn't blind or an idiot, and was fully aware with how often people tried to flirt with him, but he was too much of a pessimist realist to know that anything they found appealing was purely aesthetic.

THE LAUGH FINALLY BUBBLED OUT OF GRAY AT THE FORCED COMPLIMENT. he truly didn't want to torture the other, but he couldn't help but fine this entire situation amusing. moving closer to natsu, he shifted flakes to be in one arm, opened up the dragons arms and proceeded to place the creature into natsu's hands before stepping back.

A WHOLE ASS LINE CONSIDERING LUCY HAD ALREADY AGREED TO WATCH HER, but that didn't stop gray from milking the situation as much as he could. looking back at natsu and flakes he couldn't help but chuckle again as the dog adjusted herself in a way to basically rag doll in the others arms, looking up at the pink haired male with a sort of expecting kind of look. well, at least she likes him, that's half of the problem solved.

"I just said I wasn't jealous, dumbass!" Natsu hissed out at the other.

Natsu's frown was deep and his body was guarded. He didn't hate dogs, though he probably was more a cat person. But something about the dog smelling like Gray- Gray smelling like the dog. It ticked him off. But he sure as hell wasn't gonna admit it.

GRAY FELT HIMSELF TENSE UP AT NATSU CALLING HIM FAMILIAR. this wasn't the first time the dragon had said as much, but it still filled gray with an underlying fear that maybe, by some chance, natsu will remember him. if gray was being honest with himself, he wasn't sure if he wanted the other to remember him or not. on one hand, he wouldn't have to be walking on egg shells with every interaction, but on the other hand, natsu would realize exactly why he is the way he is and that might just destroy whatever remaining relationship they had.

IT WAS ALMOST UPSETTING HOW EASY IT WAS TO LIE TO NATSU NOW. of course he knew why he was familiar, he just hoped the opposite was true. and the second half of that sentence was a two fold lie. he had been in the guild longer than natsu, plus he knew exactly how long it's been since his 'death'. eight months, almost to the day.

Natsu opened his mouth before closing it again. Clearly not that sure how to immediately respond. Instead, he gave a shrug.

"I dunno, I this after all these years I don't think I can really surprise anyone anymore."

He then moved to try and catch the other's gaze again. Looking to his face. "I mean it's not every day you find out you're the only one that can see a guild ghost," he laughed. "And you're all like, broody and stuff. It's almost... familiar?" He felt his head almost buzz as he said the word. It caused a tiny frown that he quickly pulled away from.

"Huh, maybe you've just been haunting this place longer than I remember," he mumbled out more to himself than to the spirit.

BLIZZARD PROMPTS.

it's november which means it's winter, so here u go! i wanted these to be kinda dramatic and intense, but i'll be making some cozier fluffier ones as time passes! DO NOT ADD OR EDIT THIS LIST! but always feel free to add [ REVERSE ] to one of the actions to reverse the roles!

[ RACE ]: sender sprints out into a blizzard to rescue a freezing and disorientated receiver.

[ BUNDLE ]: sender removes their coat to wrap it around a visibly shivering receiver.

[ WARM ]: sender vigorously rubs the receiver's arms in a bid to warm them up after being exposed to a winter storm outside.

[ SHELTER ]: sender hastily guides the receiver to a nearby shelter for them to wait out the storm together safely.

[ PREPARE ]: sender ties a length of rope around their waist and the receiver's waist in order to safely stay together as they prepare to go out into the storm.

[ BREATHE ]: sender takes the receiver's cold hands and begins to gently blow warm air over them in an effort to keep the receiver warm.

[ HOLD ]: sender takes the receiver's hands and holds them together in order to keep them warm during a cold spell.

[ EMBRACE ]: sender wraps their arms around the receiver and holds them close in an effort to conserve body heat during a snow storm.
