Low self esteem due to being bullied in the past

Might stay in toxic environments/habits just so he can be a part of something (hc by @farabruh)

Originally just read them because they where the thickest ones, but soon realized that he actually liked physics

Over analyzing the Henry x Valter meadow scene because it’s been living in my head rent free

Okay, it seems like I’m not the only one obsessing over the scene in the final episode where Henry lies drunk on a field and Valter (or Walter) picks him up. Walty shippers interpret this as a confirmation of their relationship, while other see this as a symbol of Wille’s freedom. Let’s take a deep dive into both analysis!

By this time we know that Young Royals almost always have deeper intentions with the way things are written and directed. Close ups, props and the order in which the scenes are put are planned out to perfection and rarely a coincidence. This scene came immediately after the Stedrika scene, indicating that Henry and Valter, just like Stella and Fredrika, might have had their own friends-to lovers-story.

The scene is also parallel to Wilmon’s football field scene in season one. In both scenes, one of the boys lays barely conscious in the grass and gets picked by someone who is close to them. For Wille, it’s Simon. For Henry, it’s Valter.

This might be a hint that Walty had their own Wilmon moment and that something happened between the them romanticly.

Another part of the fandom believes this was not a Walty confirmation, but instead an confirmation of Wille’s freedom. Throughout the series, Henry has always interrupted Wille during the most inappropriate moments.

Henry has been a reminder to both Wille as well as the audience that no matter what Wille did, he would always have eyes on him. He would always have a responsibility he couldn’t just give up. Henry’s passing out could be an indication that he’s not needed anymore, because Wille is now free. Free from the responsibility, free from everyone’s eyes, free from the burden.

The story telling in Young Royals has always been limited to the perspective of five characters: Wille, Simon, Felice, Sara and August. Even if we followed the storyline of other characters, like Stella and Fredrika, it was always told through the perspectives of the main five. This is one of the few scenes, if not the only one, that doesn’t do so. Maybe the writers/directors wants the audience to know what the other characters don’t know yet, which is that Wille is about to give up the throne.

What do you think the meadow scene meant? Walty confirmation or Wille’s freedom confirmation? Why wasn’t it filmed through any of the main five’s perspectives? Feel free to share your own thoughts and opinions!

(Side note: can we just appreciate how beautiful the entire scene is? It looked like an entire renaissance fairy painting! Minus the bottle of alcohol lol).

DWK characters and styles that would suit them

Raban – His long hair and round glasses makes me believe he’s into the 70’s fashion and music. I can totally see him rocking wide-leg pants and patterned strong colored shirts.

Leon – For some reason I believe he would fit with 80’s fashion. Bomber jacket/letter jacket along with a baggy jumper and even a mullet would suit him pretty well.

Markus – Since everyone already knows he’s an emo, I’m going with goth instead. There’s a lot of different types of goth, but I think the ones that suit him the best is mall goth and emo goth. He would look great with some eyeliner and hair dyed in either red, blue, or purple.

Vanessa – I’d love to see her have an androgyne/tomboy style, similar to Kristen Stewart. That includes wearing blazer and ties as well as cutting her hair short.

Marlon – I see Marlon fitting the bohemian style. Out of the different boho styles, I think Nordic boho and boho grunge suits him the best. And of course he’s having long hair (although maybe not dreadlocks)

Jojo – I stumbled upon “soft boy aesthetics”, which is just perfect for him. The style includes lose pants, vintage sweaters in neutral colors and medium length messy hair.

Deniz – Inspired by @farabruh vision for grown up Deniz, I think he’d really suit in the rock n roll style. Black letter jacket, ripped jeans and pearcings would just be 10/10. And maybe a hat as the final touch.

Markus: Professional goalkeeper for a lot of different teams, as well as an amateur artist in his free time. Is no longer dating Natasha but they are still good friends

Jojo: Works as a social worker and often recruite children to the bunch as a way to help them. Is married with three children named Willi, Hadchi and Vanessa

Raban: Has followed Hadchi’s footsteps as the bunch’s inventor and the engineer, as well as being their manager

Deniz: Followed his dad’s footsteps and now plays for 1FC, but might even be better than his dad

Leon: Started a career as a soccer player and joined 1FC along with Deniz first, before joining Marlon as co trainer for die Wilden Kerle

1. Markus and Deniz would become millionaires from inherits, but Markus would save it/earn more while Deniz would waste it on cars and action figures. Raban could probably be a “self made” millionaire, but would also be bad at saving

2. Jojo if he had everyone’s approval. Natasha would also date both Markus and Vanessa

3. Vanessa because she actively worked to survive, and Markus by accident

4. Apart from all of the Siegers, Leon

5. Markus, Marlon and Leon would get an ordinary tattoo. Leon would also get an embarrassing one, along with Raban

6. Marlon or Jojo, because they both care about others. Leon might run for the title but not get selected

7. Leon would definitely say he’s skilled at things he aren’t. Markus might not lie, but he could avoid telling the entire truth

how do you think the dwk characters would deal with having pets/what kind of pets would they have?

Jojo would 100 % have pets. He already has rat and befriended more or less a werewolf, so he would happily bring home stray animals and other “ugly” creatures.

Marlon is a true dog person. I can totally imagine him having a golden retriever, but I can also see him having another dog.

Although I think Leon also likes dogs, he wouldn’t have the patience to take care of one on his own so he would just be okay with walking Marlon’s dog every once in awhile.

Markus is the type of person who would live with someone who’s bought a dog/cat against his will, but would end up being the one who loves it the most (and refuse to admit it).

I can see Deniz owning a cat. A black and white cat who jumps into his lap every now and then to cuddle with him.

I’m not sure Vanessa would have the patience to own a pet. But I think a bunny would be fitting to her.

Raban seems to be scared of most animals (at least spiders and big scary dogs), but I also imagine him having a half tame crow who lives in the wild while also following Raban were ever he goes.

do you have any headcanons about the Siegers? They obviously are meant to simply be the main antagonists, but i still would have been interested to get a bit more info on them as individuals in the show.

I think the Siegers are a bit like Megamind. They probably all grew up in unhealthy households were the worst was always expected of them, resulting in them believing the only thing they are good at is being bad, therefore trying to be “the worst of the worst”. I also believe the main reason they let Michi be their leader, even though he mistreats them too, is because they just want to be part of something. Some members, like Kong, would probably want to leave, but they’re scared of being alone as well as of what Michi would do to them.
