Can I share my favorite Harry Potter GIFS with you guys? 🤍
Tumblr media
Remus and Tonks are the cutest couple ever. They deserved so much better than J.K. Rowling did to them.
Tumblr media
Harry’s imitation on Aragon, Hagrid’s beloved spider.
Tumblr media
As much as I hate to say it, Draco deserved the punch. Maybe one more too.
Tumblr media
I LOVE LUNA, she is by far the best character. They mistook her uniqueness for weirdness. Her outfits inspire me every day.
Tumblr media
Everytime this scene comes on, my heart breaks. He deserved better than the life he was given.
Tumblr media
This was behind the scenes, Emma Watson (who plays Hermione) didn’t realize she broke a set item so Daniel Radcliff (who plays Harry) quickly grabbed it and placed it back. It’s so funny and weird to see them so little and acting like kids. After a while, you forget that their lives were much easier at the beginning of their careers. They were right for the roles!
Tumblr media
Hagrid and young Harry Potter, that’s it.
Tumblr media
To end it on a good note, Crookshanks! The cutest cat alive!!!!!!!

The differences between the books and the movies.
and yes there is a BIG difference.
Let’s talk about the most common ones.
Harry and Ginny’s relationship. Honestly, the movies definitely did NOT develop their relationship correct. It was as if their relationship was based off all the times Harry stayed with the Weasley family and school. There’s no romance, no spice. It’s one of the reasons why fans would’ve wanted Harry to end up with Hermione which could’ve been way worse in my opinion. It’s the most cliche storyline, why would people want that?
Draco is actually viewed as “comedic relief” in the books rather than a rich whiny kid in the movies. In the fourth book, he told Harry and Ron to get Hermione somewhere safe when the Deatheaters stormed into the Quidditch World Cup tent area. Isn’t that odd? A 14 year old that hated muggle borns told his worst “enemies” to get one of them safe. It’s a shame they didn’t incorporate this scene in, it would’ve showed some great character development from Draco.
Hermione’s school career was so much bigger than it seems in the movies. Yes, BIGGER! She created a club called S.P.E.W. that spoke up and fought for the rights of house elves, elves in general. She would go on to do more for them in her time at the ministry. She is indeed the definition of a Boss. Sadly, there were not many elves in the movies and the most seen was Dobby who was a very sentimental character to the fans. May he rest in peace.
FRED AND GEORGE. All capitals because they truly deserve(d) the best! After dropping out of school, the twins opened up a a joke shop filled with many magical and funny prank items. As we all know, the Weasley family didn’t have a lot of money. If anything, they were known as that sadly. Molly and Arthur Weasley raised seven kids who each grew up to be very powerful wizards under hard circumstances. What the movies neglect to inform the audience is that after Harry wins the Triwizard Tournament, he gives all his money to the twins to open up the shop. Seeing as Harry had enough money, he believed the twins would make a lot of people happy and laugh and therefore deserved it. Sadly, Fred died in the war against Voldemort. It was the hardest death fans have ever taken in, may he rest in peace.
Neville Longbottom. He is one of the most important characters in the books but was not shown as much in the movies. Neville’s parents were tortured with the Crucio spell in the first Wizarding War, leaving them severely injured to the point where they couldn’t raise their son or live on their own. Neville was then raised by his grandma and grew resentment against the witch who tortured his parents: Bellatrix Lestrange. This information is solely from the books, the movies didn’t focus much on his need for winning and avenging his parents. When fans saw his epic finale strike to the last horcrux Nagini, everyone was proud. This shy boy finally had his vengeance and helped Harry Potter win the battle against Voldermort. Proud is an understatement.

Gryffindor Common Room
The grand finale! I’m going to be honest, this is the easiest common room to write about. Why? Because every Harry Potter fan wants to be a Gryffindor seeing as almost all of the main characters are in this house. Let’s be honest, their colors... not so fun. I hope the structure makes up for it though! Some people love it, some hate it. If anything it is the most iconic common room because of its many memories it holds. I hope you enjoyed this series as much as I loved reading about it.
It’s one of the highest towers at Hogwarts, and as usual students need the password of the week to be able to enter the common room. They present the password to the “Fat Lady” inside one of the many portraits they have outside and inside their common room. Inside, students will immediately see the living space that is made up of bright red couches, curtains aligning the circular space. In the middle is yet another fireplace with usually a bunch of books stacked at the top. The fireplace however is a Floo Network that allows wizards and witches to transport to whatever destination they want to go to with the help of the powder you need in order to make it work. Isn’t that awesome? There are a lot of tapestries with lions and stripes on them, it’s usually the place where the students celebrate big Quidditch wins! It was the home of many students, in a weird way I feel connected to the students who live here. It’s amazing how many things happened here, and how this common room watched kids grow up and someday become the greatest wizards/witches of all time.

Slytherin Common Room
Known as the Slytherin dungeon, this common room fits the Slytherin slogan: ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness. They’re known for being on the side of evil, and their room is a reflection of that. In my opinion, not all Slytherin’s are evil. Did people forget about Sirius Black??
There’s a lot of green. A little bit of skulls. And snakes. More like serpents? The most Slytherin thing about this common room is that students from other houses are not allowed in. At all. It’s been this way for decades: the password also changes every fortnight. How do these students keep up with this? They have a fireplace which is the only red-orange color they’ll ever have. Rough stone walls surround the students and there are many couches, chairs, and tables with chess gameplays and for the students to do homework on. Slytherin’s usually do their own things, and are usually seen as independent. Going to the library and sitting with a bunch of other students that aren’t in their house is a weird thing for them to do. Beautiful vintage chandeliers adore the high ceilings and their most favorite thing was the dungeon that had another living space.

Ravenclaw Common Room
In other words the Ravenclaw Tower was the common room for Ravenclaw students. This is my second favorite room because of the royal blue which compliments the ancient structure.
It’s described as an airy room, with tall rooms and big windows. It gives a lot of students space and is kept minimal when it’s not surrounded by books!! Before they enter, they have to solve a riddle by an eagle shaped knob. They can only enter if they get it right. My favorite part of the living room would be the stars in the ceiling. It creates a (more) magical aesthetic to these students, it fits night time when the moon and mountains are reflecting on them. Another unique factor about their room is that they have an accesible library which is a decent size. Their room decor is filled with royal blue and bronze colors, giving it a royal vibe. Having dim lights, the only light they have come from the windows which is super private.

Hufflepuff Common Room
This might be a little biased but I believe the Hufflepuff common room is the best one out of all four houses. If you love cottage core, fairy core, then you’ll love this room.
Disclaimer: There’s no official picture of the common room, and because of its many descriptions and digital images of it, I will be describing the characteristics that align to what fits the Hufflepuff aesthetic.
Usually every common room can only be entered by saying it’s unique password. However, for this room you have to tap the barrels to make a beat to Helga Hufflepuff. Crazy right? It’s pretty cool.
Inside, you have a lot of natural light coming from the many windows aligning the room. The room is filled with plants and wooden furniture. There’s many chairs and desks because Hufflpuffs like to be around people and feel they learn better working together. A fire place is also in place (its the common thing in every room). The rooms seem to be downstairs of the living area and are separated between the boys and the girls.

COMMON ROOMS
I’m so excited to blog about the common rooms in the series! It’s something i’ve rarely seen pictures of or descriptions of the rooms that aren’t Gryffindors or Slytherin’s.
For background, the common rooms are the bedroom/area that each house is living in. Each room has distinct characteristics and decor that aligns to the houses. Harry Potter is mostly revolved around Gryffindor vs. Slytherin so other common rooms such as Hufflepuff’s or Ravenclaw’s aren’t really blogged about. In fact, most people don’t even know other houses exist which is crazy. I hope you guys enjoy this set of topics and if you guys have any ideas for me to blog about let me know!
Thank You!

Hermione Facts:
J.K. Rowling was asked what Hermione would see in the Mirror of Erised (it’ll show what you most desire). She said Hermione would see Harry and Ron happy and alive after defeating Voldemort but she would be in a relationship with Ron as well.
She’s supposed to have buck teeth in the movies but she couldn’t speak with them so they removed them completely.
Rowling regretted Hermione ending up with Ron and admitted she should’ve ended up with Harry instead.
She founded S.P.E.W. in her fourth year at Hogwarts. An organization that fights for magical creatures rights such as elves.
Hermione’s middle name is Jean.
She was supposed to have a sister in the books but because she wasn’t mentioned at all, Rowling just decided for her not to.
After the final battle, Hermione went back to finish school. She later joined the Ministry of Magic and was rumored to have won the position of Minister for Magic as of 2019.
She had to obliviate (a spell to have them forget) her parents when Death Eaters were murdering muggle parents.

“Like racism and all forms of prejudice, bigotry against transgender people is a deadly carcinogen. We are pitted against each other in order to keep us from seeing each other as allies. Genuine bonds of solidarity can be forged between people who respect each other’s differences and are willing to fight their enemy together. We are the class that does the work of the world, and can revolutionize it. We can win true liberation.” –Leslie Feinberg (Transgender Liberation: A Movement Whose Time Has Come)
