There is so much to be said about the unhealthy codependency the Voyager crew have, but I still can't get over how much love was expressed by these characters for each other. And right from the beginning! The first moment we see Tuvok and Janeway alone in show premiere is Tuvok's face softening into a smile as he approaches her. We see Janeway fretting - because she met Harry's parents. Because she never seems to know the crew on a personal level and wants to. B'elanna calling Harry 'Starfleet'. Tom intervening for Harry at Quark's bar and Harry seeking out Tom even when everyone corners him about it. Chakotay taking the time to reach out to the officer who transported him safely to Voyager. And it's this constant thread throughout the show that they will always choose each other. Doesn't matter how many years pass or what life they're offered they'll erase timeline after timeline to give each other one more chance. Just a bit more time. Maybe this time they'll all make it.

My contribution to Threshold Day!
I wanted to make something with felt scraps I had from other projects, and not buy anything new. I鈥檓 pretty happy with how it turned out! All of the thread (except the orange) is satin so it鈥檚 nice and shimmery. I wish the purple showed up better in photos, though.

Thinking about whether Picard and Sisko would have killed Tuvix. Since the original Tuvix was a combination of the security officer and some guy, the closest equivalent on the Enterprise would have been Worf and Wesley, or Worfsley. I think Worfsley would just ask Picard to kill him so it wouldn't be much of a moral dilemma.
On DS9, the closest equivalent to Tuvix would be Quark and Odo, or Quodo. This also wouldn't be much of a moral dilemma, as Quodo would be the most irritating being in existence. I think Sisko would kill him without hesitation, even if he wasn't sure it would bring back Quark and Odo.

HOLY SHIT i'm not even done watching it yet BUT when strange aeons recently asked for tumblr holidays for her new video i submitted quite a few including trek specific ones and GUESS WHAT MADE IT IN!!!!
I had no idea what to expect when I opened this message but it was definitely not This. And it sure is in there!!!!!!!
Honestly if my legacy is just managing to get a Star Trek Voyager shitpost into the tumblr calendar then I can live with that tbh

Battle of the Captains
Round 3 Part 2 Poll 1
Propaganda
Janeway's the first female captain to be portrayed on a Star Trek series. Groundbreaking, badass. Extremely capable, gets her crew through challenges of isolation and various external threats and as yet uncharted regions of space. Loves coffee.
Propaganda (by @deep-sea-gigantism) :
James tells the same obnoxious stories at dinner parties over and over again. He continually fucks up social interactions by accidentally insulting people. He also insults people on purpose. Namely the other captain.
This manages to work out well for him ! He tells a guy that his nails are a terror while they've been stuck in the arctic for like 3 years. He throws a massive party for the rising of the polar sun and considers wearing a dress to it
And he has self-worth issues ! He's a bastard and got his position through social and political luck and he calls himself a fake in a confession he makes to the aforementioned captain while James is dying of scurvy. He's eveything.
