A six year old once asked me what adulthood is like.

“You can eat ice cream for dinner every night if you want,” I told him.

His face lit up.

I’ve never seen someone go from delighted to devastated as quickly as that little boy.

Crying is how humans safely release stress. It’s why you feel better after crying: the release valve was triggered and you’re not pent up any more. That men are societally denied this release is both sad and dangerous.

when the cashier gives u back ur change and ur putting it away but u cant do it fast enough and suddenly theyre holding out ur shopping bag and u have no hands and the coins are dropping to the ground and the bag goes up in flames and the cashier is crying and ur crying and ur wallet is screaming and ur descending into hell
