A weird thing I find incredibly helpful for art/writing.

Eplans.com is a website that sells blueprints for houses. 

This might not seem that helpful but if you want a characters house you can make selections based on what sort of house you want them to live in. 

Then browse through the results and find the house you want. Then you can view the blueprints and have a room layout for that house, which can help with visualising the space they live in. 

It makes describing generic homes so much easier.

Just watched the new episode and while I am super hyped about mystery girl what I love the most about this episode is how Pearl wanted to impress Steven (and Amethyst?) “... and you would say ‘waoh Pearl is really cool!’“ She is more upset about this than not catching up to the girl.

She just wants her kid(s) to think she is cool. Pearl really is a everyday (space rock) mom

This article has an excellent summary on how to rapidly learn a new language within 90 days.

We can begin with studying the first 600 words. Of course chucking is an effective way to memorize words readily. Here’s a list to translate into the language you desire to learn that I grabbed from here! :)

EXPRESSIONS OF POLITENESS (about 50 expressions)      

‘Yes’ and ‘no’: yes, no, absolutely, no way, exactly.    

Question words: when? where? how? how much? how many? why? what? who? which? whose?    

Apologizing: excuse me, sorry to interrupt, well now, I’m afraid so, I’m afraid not.

So if we wanted to watch some French animation, what films would you suggest?

the Triplets of Belleville is about an elderly woman searching for her son who was kidnapped in the middle of a Tour de France race. It’s largely free of dialogue, but the sound effects and such are wonderful. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature—it lost to Finding Nemo.

A Cat in Paris is about a young girl and her cat who discover mysteries in the course of one night. It was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature, but it lost to Rango.

Persepolis is based on an autobiographical graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi about her early life in Iran. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, but it lost to Ratatouille.

the Illusionist is about an aging magician and an imaginative young girl who form a father/daughter relationship. It was also nominated for a Best Animation Oscar, but lost to Toy Story 3.

The Rabbi’s Cat is a story about a cat who swallows a parrot and gains the ability to speak like a human. It is set in 1920’s Algeria.

Ernest & Celestine is the adorable story about a big bear and a little mouse who forge an unlikely friendship. It was also nominated for an Oscar in Best Animated Picture, but lost to Frozen.

Kirikou and the Sorceress is a story inspired by West African folklore that tells the story of Kirikou, a boy who was born with the ability to walk and talk, who saves his people from an evil witch. The film was popular enough to spawn sequels and a stage adaptation.

A Monster in Paris is a 3D animated musical film that is reaaaaalllly loosely based on the Phantom of the Opera. It’s set in 1910 and is about, surprisingly, a monster that lives in Paris, and his love for a young singer.

The King and the Mockingbird is an 80’s film about a cruel king titled Charles V + III = VIII + VIII = XVI, who is obsessed with a young shepherdess, and whose attempts to capture the young girl are thwarted by a mockingbird whose wife the King had previously killed.  

Those are probably the most famous of the feature length animated films.

But the animated short films are just as glorious. Here’s a compilation of a bunch of short films and I can link you to others as well. 

Sorry for the long answer but I just really love French animation.

I will need to hear this a few times in order to better combine picture and lyrics  as I don’t speek the language. But yes, the voice is good but the lyrics, however the lyrics are amazing! And to point out that Garnet isn’t stronger but it is Jasper how is weaker is better in my book. I honestly think I like this version better judging by the lyrics

I just want to make you know how happy am I. I watch Steven Universe, I think it’s a cute show, and it’s something different. I’m really happy about it. Gems have no gender, but alas I know this show is full of scenes that can be censored. Because, you know, you can’t say: “They have no gender”, children would see it anyway and they understand these characters seem and act like females. Somebody think this is wrong in many levels, for kids. And I admit, I had some prejudices that the italian version would be censored or resized. I was SURE. And I was wrong. Italian version is even more clear than the english one. And that makes me so happy, you can’t understand. This is the lyrics:

In the original version, Garnet says: “I am made of love, and it’s stronger than you”. In the italian, it’s: “There’s just love in us, why don’t you see it?” It’s not like: “I’m stronger than you” it’s like: “You are weak, because you can’t understand what means to love someone like we do”

And Garnet’s voice is so beautiful.

Clockwork Knight Rex and Unicorn Six.  (Because yes, that’s exactly what Six will be for the upcoming event.)  And poor Rex.  He just wants a companion to go adventuring with him on quests!  Too bad Six recently canon updated and lost all those years of memories.  So what is all this TOUCHY FEELY BS.  WHY YOU NO GIVE ME SPACE, KID?
