Exit Announcement
Tumblr media
Hi friends I'm going to be permanently leaving this website, I'm not deleting as of now because I have a lot of informational posts saved in my drafts.
This website has really activated my lizard brain endlessly scrolling, liking, and reblogging and while I love cute cats, plushies, and bugs- it's wasting a lot of my time I could be using to be more productive researching and doing magic.
Additionally I can't support a website that so blatantly doesn't care about the CSAM issue they have or the sheer amount of violent p*rnography that's hosted here. I'm done blocking p*rn bots and having to see women get abused and objectified on every corner of this website. I know I've talked about this before and lost followers because of it but it is a big issue for me, I have trauma associated with p*rnography and I don't feel like that's respected here- either by users or the staff.
Also the whole staff selling our memes back to us thing is really cringe and unbecoming lmbo.

As someone who will never join Threads, I find there to be something exceptionally insidious about the part of its dogshit privacy practices where it collects usersā€™ contact data.
A lot of people have my phone number, and not all of them take privacy seriously. A few of them are bound to join Threads at some point. This means I never even have to join the platform for it to collect my full name, contact info, current or past address, and reconstruct at least part of my social and/or professional circle. Despite the fact that I have never agreed to any of this, it is completely legal since people with my contact info have consented to Meta collecting their (and therefore my) info. I hate it here šŸ«

weird that we treat autism and ADHD as intrinsically linked due to high rates of comorbidity but no one talks that way about autism and schizophrenia or autism and OCD or autism and bipolar disorder etc etc even though those are also often comorbid. gee I wonder why

Thwaitesia argentiopunctata known as the sequined spider, mirror spider, or twin-peaked Thwaitesia, is a species of spider found in almost all states of Australia. It is known to have a reflective abdomen that plays a crucial role in their camouflage to protect them from predators in the forest canopy. The scales look like solid pieces of mirror glued to the spider's back, but they can actually change size depending on how threatened the spider feels. The reflective scales are composed of reflective guanine, which these and other spiders use to give themselves color. [A-Z Animals: Sequined Spider]

What we need to do is convince all the disney adults in america that high speed rail would be a preferable way of getting to disneyworld compared to driving or flying. We could maybe harness their fondness for the monorail or something, but this is a group of people that has time, income, and passion that we could leverage. If we could direct 5% of the enthusiasm they have for limited edition popcorn buckets into calling their representatives and demanding high-speed interstate rail, we could get it by 2030

One of the worst parts of current internet culture is that it makes good old fashioned complaining so difficult. I donā€™t wanna cancel anyone or bully anyone, Iā€™m not trying to form a hate mob Iā€™m not calling anyone out, i just wanna bitch about something. Because complaining is fun, good for you, even. Is that too much to ask? Where is the room for shooting the shit?

Artemis, the Greek Goddess šŸ¹ā£ā£ā£ā£
Finished another one of my commissions depicting the Greek goddess, Artemis! In doing so, I like doing my research on the subject matter and learned so much about her, her brother Apollo and her upbringing. She is the goddess of hunting, wild nature, the moon, and chastity. She is also known to have her stags with golden horns matched by her golden arrows. Greek mythology has always been interesting to me and even how itā€™s depicted in games from Age of Mythology to the God of War series. ā£
Been very busy and Iā€™ll keep updating you guys with all the new updates and drawings coming soon! ā£

so weird 2 me when I talk about colleges of agriculture and ppl are likeĀ ā€œlmao you can go to school for farmingggggg hahahaā€ bc they donā€™t see agriculture as a science as if farmers werenā€™t the original engineers, botanists, geneticists, chemists, biologists, veterinarians, etc. etc.
