The project explores East African meditative music from a post colonial lens dissecting different aspects of spirituality and sound therapy as influenced by culture both new and old. Muthoni Ni Mimi manipulates field recordings of Kikuyu traditional instruments, everyday human expression and synthesised sounds to create an ambient sonic experience on which the story unfolds.

Mental Soup give us an album with two distinct halves, the first is high energy old school blues/garage rock with classic rock swagger. The second half is mind altering progressive psychedelic rock straight out of the 70s that will please fans of bands like Pink Floyd. Essentially the album takes the listener on a full spectrum journey through the world of rock music and does it well.
