I’m back home and feeling like my legs are about to collapse, but had fun at Disneyland even though tickets costed over a hundred dollars even for a day and it was actually pretty hot, surrounded by screaming kids that were putting their mouths on railings that had been touched by hundreds everyday. The last part is expected though, but look! I met the Mandalorian and Grogu.

Usually, Lexa preferred to be assigned to teams like Iden’s. There would be no need to babysit or correct behavior as the soldiers were more disciplined than the average trooper platoon. Although, this would be a situation where a high level of COMPETENCY would not exactly be desired. Jedha boasted rich resources, but also history as well. The Empire was focused on the harvest of kyber crystals, Lexa’s interest was in the deep connection to the force, traces of the jedi and the whills. “ I’ve been told these are no ordinary rebels, ” She remembered skimming  reports on the guerrilla leader in question. “ They’ve been targeting the cargo shuttles. You and your men will secure the air, while I assess ground level. Be ready to depart within the hour…” She gave Iden a final once over, eyes searching, but for what exactly she did not know. “…Commander. ” 

NO ORDINARY REBELS  ——  Iden was confident her and her team could handle a rowdy bunch of rebels, after all, Inferno Squad wasn’t an ordinary team. A team that was created by her father ( without the nepotism ) who scoured through hundreds of files before picking a group of four to journey through the stars and  HUNTING DOWN  who are brave, or stupid enough, to dim the stars that twinkled proudly upon the Empire. Just as now, Iden had just finished polishing her helmet when the Corvus jumped out of hyperspace. She got up from her seat, helmet tucked neatly under her arm. “We’ve arrived.”  IT WAS ALL IDEN SAID  before slipping her helmet on.

A puff of air released from her nostrils as she scoffed. “ Indeed it was not. ” Lexa could still remember the day the Republic fell and the aftermath. She had sooner wished for death rather than be granted a second chance with the organization responsible for the death of her peers and mentors. HOPE had been crushed and beaten from her very being until it became clear as crystal the only path for her was one shrouded in DARKNESS. Emerald eyes shifted to her wrist as new instructions were sent her way. “ It seems, Commander, ” The inquisitor began, gaze slowly rising from the comm unit. “ That you and your squadron are to accompany me to Jedha. ” 

It was then and there  ——  IDEN SUDDENLY REMEMBERED  why she came searching for the Inquisitor in the first place to inform her the change of the mission, but it would seem Lexa has been made aware of it already. Regardless, Iden stood with an eased diligence and masking away her expression; it was a mistake to allow herself to let it slip off moments ago. “That seems to be the case; the rebels have been causing disturbances.  INFERNO SQUAD AND I  are in your command.”
