day 7 - do your parents know you’re trying to lose weight? do they care?
ive been trying to lose weight for years now and the “dieting” slowly turned into something much worse. my parents both know ive been trying to lose weight and have seen the weight come off of me. my dad uses my weight loss to justify fat shaming other women. i hate that. if you wanna lose weight, do it right. if you don’t? it’s not my life. as long as you love yourself.
my mom cares. it’s just confusing in the way she does it. she wants me to be happy and to love myself. but, so, for context. in 6th grade i was in a fucked mental state. there are years of my life i cannot remember because of a stress reaction causing me to repress and forget. my mom has been waiting for me to fall off the deep end ever since. given that information, and the fact that she had anorexia in college, the second i dont eat as much its “oh my fucking god youre dying!!!!” im glad she cares but it pisses me off because my eating is the one thing i have control of. so i guess: she cares in a way that feels invasive to me. texting me “dont starve yourself” while spending the night away is NOT okay.
this really turned into a tangent but this is my blog so ill say whatever,,,

anti-binge guide
when you feel a craving coming on:
drink a glass or two of water, slowly
have a piece of fruit, like an apple
make some warm herbal tea with natural sweetener
go for a long walk or hike, put your earphones in and clear your head - walk with a friend if you’d prefer
if you’re still craving the food, have the tiniest bit of it, no more than a bite, and have another glass of water
distractions:
watch a long movie or start a new show
study! complete homework or begin revising for exams
write down your own thinspo imagines
do some online window shopping and look at all the outfits you want to wear at a smaller size
make your own thinspo playlist
do some yoga or meditation
things to keep in mind:
you already know what your favourite foods taste like - you don’t need to eat them again in bulk
imagine the amount of progress you’ll make tomorrow if you exercise self control right now
the shame and guilt that follows a binge is not worth it
the physical pain and exhaustion is not worth it
you’re not just affecting your weight, you’re affecting your overall health, your mental well-being, your skin
binging means you’re wasting your time when you could be doing something much more productive

god i wish i didnt have to live with anyone. when i graduate next year i will get myself an apartment and save money by not buying any food. no food to binge on. i want my fridge to look like this
