Returning to God's Righteousness
With all of the denominational squabbles that have occurred over the centuries, some people have become engrossed in such "battles," attempting to determine which ones are right or more right than the others. Many distortions had grown in Judaism, which the Messiah had to correct at His first coming, as we have seen. Why would we think that we haven’t gotten anything wrong since then? Though well-intended, I believe much has grown out of the flesh, leading to a compromised church that lacks the anchor of the Torah to keep it on track. This is the wrong battleground; it is a distraction.
Our God, the God of Israel, YHVH, is only concerned with obedience to His Son, who taught and did only what the Father taught.
“So Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not My own, but His who sent Me. If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is of God, or I am speaking from Myself. The one who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” (John 7: 16-18 NASB)
“Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their way of life, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. Do not be misled by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.” (Hebrews 13:7-9 NASB)
Their doctrines are similar and not too difficult for us to understand.
Then the Lord your God will prosper you abundantly in every work of your hand, in the children of your womb, the offspring of your cattle, and in the produce of your ground, for the Lord will again rejoice over you for good, just as He rejoiced over your fathers; if you obey the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.
"For this commandment which I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it far away. It is not in heaven, that you could say, ‘Who will go up to heaven for us and get it for us, and proclaim it to us, so that we may follow it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you could say, ‘Who will cross the sea for us and get it for us and proclaim it to us, so that we may follow it?’ On the contrary, the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may follow it.” (Deuteronomy 30:9b-14 NASB)
Paul cautioned the followers of Yeshua/Jesus not to claim to be of Paul or Apollos. I would also add, not of Luther, Wesley, Moody, and so forth, but only of Yeshua/Jesus. He said that these distractions come from the flesh—from immature flesh at that.
And I, brothers and sisters, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but only as fleshly, as to infants in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to consume it. But even now you are not yet able, for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like ordinary people? For when one person says, “I am with Paul,” and another, “I am with Apollos,” are you not ordinary people?” (1 Cor 3: 1-11 NASB)
Rather than following a particular denominational leader, the more crucial question is to renounce all carnal questions and humble yourself to become a child of God/YHVH first, and then grow up in Him.
Putting aside disagreements over human interpretations and doctrines, returning to His righteousness means picking up the same kind of "battle" that was fought in the first century: who is Israel? What does joining the family of God, the family of YHVH, the God of Israel, entail for me?
It is easy to forget that we were brought up in a Gentile environment that was opposed to God's ways and that we followed a lot of paganism because our fathers had done the same, which made the practices seem reasonable to us. In an attempt to appeal to the masses, many churches have changed their message to reflect worldly wisdom and worldly definitions of success—you could call it a religion of the people that works better for them. This is the fruit and root of the apostate church. "Christianizing" pagan rituals has become the standard for far too many people.
As a result, when we are adopted into God's family, we DO need to humble ourselves, examine, and reevaluate everything we hold dear, bringing it all into line with the way that our God reveals truth in His entire Word. This is genuinely like being a child again—not childish, but child-like in wonder. Instead of disputing something because it deviates from our prior knowledge or does not make sense to us, we should learn what He says is right and wrong. The best defense against the devil's schemes to pull us away is complete surrender to Him.
This is not limited to once or twice-a-week worship sessions. In the midst of a perverse world, it is about our entire walk—the food we eat, the holidays we observe, the commandments we uphold, the time we spend in the Word and in prayer. The walk of a believer in the God of Israel is one of supernatural power, without getting sucked into unholy spiritual phenomena. He truly is beyond our power to accomplish in our flesh. It is essential to understand that Messiah was able to approach the Right Hand of the Father through His work on our behalf and that He extends an invitation to join Him there. (Ephesians 1:20-23; 2:1-7) But since He is not coming for a child bride, we must mature and let His sanctification process do its work in us. We cannot achieve that unless we begin at the beginning and give Him permission to renew our thoughts, will, and emotions in accordance with His ways—stepping OUT of worldly ways and fleshly convenience. We have nothing to fear because Messiah's blood has been shed to cover us; that is His portion. It is our responsibility to put Him first in everything, not just to sing "I Surrender All" when we only mean to surrender "I Surrender Some."

None So Blind As Refuse To See
Tumblr media
None So Blind As Refuse To See This post may contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I may earn a commission on sales. "There are none so blind as those who will not see" "Hearing is believing" The first one is an idiom, while the second one is a principle derived from Scripture. Individuals who possess all the available information yet consciously refuse to acknowledge it, display a flaw in their character, their immaturity, or quite possibly live in denial. Some people may prefer to trust the opinions of others instead of verifying the facts themselves. This behavior is similar to Eve's actions in the garden, where she believed and accepted the Adversary's account of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Instead of unquestioningly following the Word of our God, she allowed herself to be deceived by what she personally witnessed. Both statements emphasize the crucial importance of correctly utilizing our senses throughout our lives, as the way we live today holds eternal significance. The physical universe was created by our God as a nurturing space for us to reside, acquire knowledge, and mature. It is a collection of imagery designed to impart profound spiritual wisdom. However, its current state is not everlasting. In the Scriptures, God clearly conveys that He is the Eternal and Immutable One, the Alpha and Omega. His divine nature is revealed both in the marvels of His creation and the sacred pages of His Word. Messiah Yeshua, who exists from the very start, is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He informed us that the sun, moon, and stars are meant to serve as signs and indicators of seasons, and He carefully designed their paths. He established His methodologies, creating a calendar for us and defining days for both labor and rest. He stated that the very sun, moon, and stars themselves would serve as a guide to ascertain the precise moment when the Messiah would make His glorious return. Since the very beginning, hearing has remained vital. Even after Adam and Eve sinned, they were deprived of seeing the Father, but they were still able to hear His voice!  Moses gathered all of Israel together and addressed them, saying: "Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I am speaking today in your hearing, that you may learn them and observe them carefully” (Deut. 5:1). Yeshua answered, "The foremost is, 'HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD” (Mark 20:29). “So then faith by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom. 10:17 NKJV). The word "hear" encompasses more than just the physical act of listening to sounds. In its complete Hebraic essence, it signifies Shema, which holds the profound meaning of "to hear, listen, and obediently respond." I understand that many people believe that salvation requires only faith, but the Bible teaches that it also involves obeying what we hear, believing in God's Word, and putting it into action. "They answered Him and said to Him, 'Abraham is our father.' Yeshua said to them, 'If you were Abrahams’ children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. You do the deeds of your father.' Then they said to Him, 'We were not born of fornication; we have one Father-God.' Yeshua said to them, 'If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.'" (John 8: 39-44a) “Why Do You Not Understand My Speech?” The word “speech” is from the Greek word lalia (Strong’s #2981) meaning:  1) speech, i.e a story 2) dialect, mode of speech, pronunciation a) speech which discloses the speaker's native country “Because you are not able to listen to My Word.” “Word” is from the Greek word logos (Strong’s #3059) meaning: 1) of speech a) a word, uttered by a living voice, embodies a conception or idea b) what someone has said; 1) a word 2) the sayings of God 3) decree, mandate or order 4) of the moral precepts given by God 5) Old Testament prophecy given by the prophets 6) what is declared, a thought, declaration, aphorism, a weighty saying, a dictum, a maxim In John, the Logos is the Word of God, Yeshua HaMashiach, imbued with wisdom and power from God, involved in creation and governing the universe, Source of all life, who put on human nature in Yeshua the Messiah, the second person in the Godhead, revealed through words and actions. This clever play on words can easily go unnoticed if you only read the English version. Yeshua the Messiah has always existed. His words perfectly aligned with His divine nature as He is truly one with YHWH. Without this unity, Yeshua could not fulfill His role as our Savior. The people with whom the Messiah spoke were not only eager to put an end to His life, but also quick to label Him as someone without any legitimacy. Although they seemed to back up their words with actions, their behavior and speech were still inconsistent with their professed beliefs, regardless of their strong claims (hypocrites). Today, just like in the past, the actions people take provide valuable insights into their origins and the influences they are exposed to. I am aware that there is a common belief that Paul rejected the Torah and established a new religion. However, the Scriptures actually document Paul's own words: “But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:” (Acts 24:14). Paul affirmed his faith in the Law and the Prophets, commonly known among Christians as the Old Testament, or more broadly, the Torah, as a comprehensive concept. The Greek word under “believing” is pisteu, (Strong's #G4100.) Kittel's The Theological Dictionary of the New Testament and other sources suggest that the word in question should not be limited to intellectual agreement, as previously thought, but should instead be understood as encompassing obedience, compliance, and ongoing trust. The concept of "shema" aligns perfectly with the idea of not just hearing, but also faithfully obeying. I am aware that some claim the Old Testament has lost its relevance, however, the Word itself proclaims: “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever” (Isa. 40:8). “But the word of the LORD endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you” (1 Peter 1:25). In America, we have been immensely fortunate to have an abundance of resources, including the Word of God. Many individuals possess multiple copies of this sacred text. However, in other nations, the pages of just one Bible are cherished, carefully separated, and graciously shared among a great number of people. We can personally see the entire world right in front of us. So why should we only rely on hearsay? In the midst of the turmoil that surrounds us, be it on the environmental or political front, it is crucial for us to grasp the true essence of these events. It is now, more than ever, that we must strive to become the bearers of enlightenment, rather than succumbing to ignorance and despair. The Day of the Lord will arrive unexpectedly for those shrouded in darkness, but it will not catch those who walk in the Light off guard.  Yes, I know people say differently, but the Word says: “For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness” (Psa. 18:28). “For you were once darkness, but now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” (Eph. 5:8) “But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” (1 Thess. 5: 4 ) The people who stay in darkness are likely to be deeply frightened by all the events that will occur on the earth before the Messiah comes back. However, it is important to understand that these events are not meant to scare His people! "And I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath On the nations which have not obeyed." (Micah 5:15) “For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,” (1 Thess. 5:9) "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:28) Believers, the time has come for these events to unfold. Admire the sight above and raise your heads with anticipation! In the sun, moon, and stars, incredible events are occurring, seemingly fulfilling the divine prophecy of guiding us in recognizing the season of the Messiah's return. During 2014 and 2015, on both the spring and fall Feasts of the Lord, a remarkable event took place: two sets of blood-red moons, known as a tetrad, occurred each year. Additionally, these years were accompanied by two solar eclipses. To further add to the significance, in 2016, on the Day of Trumpets, another eclipse occurred where the moon was not giving its light. These events matched what was foretold. In the past 500 years, two significant tetrads took place, namely in 1947 and 1967. Interestingly, these events coincided with the restoration of Land to Israel, adding an extraordinary dimension to these occurrences. Jubilee cycles of years fit the picture. Based on astronomical software, the unique and exceptional combination of events that occurred on these specific days in 2014 and 2015 has never been witnessed before and is not expected to occur again in the future. Does this capture your interest? There is an abundance of information beyond what I can cover in this brief explanation. Indeed, I am aware that there are individuals who claim that the Feasts are exclusively for the Jews, deeming them insignificant and irrelevant to Gentiles. However, it is essential to remember that the Word itself states otherwise: “These the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.” (Lev. 23:4) “Behold, I am building a temple for the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate to Him, to burn before Him sweet incense, for the continual shewbread, for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the New Moons, and on the set feasts of the LORD our God. This forever to Israel.”  (2 Chronicles 2:4) “Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh--who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands-- that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. … Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:11-13, 19 ). This passage states that Believers are no longer Gentiles (pagans), but are grafted in to Israel and as such become Hebrew. By believing in, honoring, and serving the God of Israel, you have become an integral part of Israel, the divine household of God - the Commonwealth of Israel. If some of the branches were broken off and you, as a wild olive tree, were grafted among them, becoming a participant in the root and richness of the olive tree, do not pridefully exalt yourself over the branches. “But if you do boast, you do not support the root, but the root you.” (Rom. 11:17-18 NKJV) It's not too late to choose your path. Will you join the ranks of the children of Light or surrender to the darkness? Do you dare to claim that the entirety of God's Word is obsolete and that His Feasts hold no significance whatsoever? Will you be counted among those described by Isaiah and quoted by both Matthew and Luke? “For the hearts of this people have grown dull. ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with eyes and hear with ears, Lest they should understand with hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.” (Matt. 13:15) Those who refuse to follow the Word and mock those who do follow the Whole Word are known as arrogant. Interestingly, even those who resist the Whole Word still seem to find the Psalms to be agreeable. I can't help but wonder if they would still be interested once they see and hear what's included! “You rebuke the arrogant, the cursed, Who wander from Your commandments.” (Psalm 119: 21 NASB) “The arrogant utterly deride me, Yet I do not turn aside from Your law.” (Psalm 119: 51 NASB) “The arrogant have dug pits for me, Men who are not in accord with Your law.” (Psalm 119: 85 NASB) Malachi also speaks about something of great importance, which is commonly believed to be a reference to the Day of His coming, known as the Day of the Lord.  Although many claim that the prophets are no longer important, the Word strongly declares otherwise: "You have said, 'It is vain to serve God; and what profit is it that we have kept His charge, and that we have walked in mourning before the LORD of hosts? 'So now we call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up but they also test God and escape. Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name.” (Mal. 3: 14-16 ) In my opinion, the impactful words spoken by the Messiah are often overlooked by those who dismiss the significance of the Old Testament. These words should be seen as thought-provoking and deserving of serious consideration: "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” (Matt. 7:21-23) It's possible that my assumption is incorrect, but it seems that He may have been specifically addressing individuals who identified themselves as His followers. It appears that they were fooled, as He claimed to be unfamiliar with them. The term "know" in this context does not indicate that He was unaware of them, as He possesses complete knowledge. It instead pertains to a deep and personal understanding. Similarly, the term "lawlessness" translates to the Greek word "anomia," where "nomia" corresponds to the Torah and the prefix "a" denotes the absence or disregard of it. I understand that some people claim that the Law has been abolished, but now I will show you tangible proof of what the Word and our Messiah affirm. There are more examples. The Parable of the Ten Virgins can be beautifully understood as a vivid representation of Believers. Each one of them possesses a profound understanding of the Messiah and shares an undeniable certainty that His glorious return is imminent. There are two distinct groups who are waiting: those who follow societal expectations, and those who faithfully abide by the teachings of the Word. While we typically offer our oil and supplies to others, it is important to acknowledge that during the time of His Return, it will not be feasible to share the profound connection we have with the Messiah. It can’t be purchased and it can’t be given away. Either one has already chosen to surrender to Him or not. "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' "But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'” (Matt. 25: 10-12 ) I am still uncertain whether being rejected from "the wedding" implies merely being considered the "least in heaven" compared to those who did and taught the Whole Word, or whether it involves being cast into a place of despair and agony characterized by weeping and grinding of teeth. "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches , he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 5:19) I am truly grateful that He is the just Judge, and not us! “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear; But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.” (Isaiah Read the full article

Strong Delusion: God Allows Men to Believe Lies
Tumblr media
Strong Delusion: God Allows Men to Believe Lies This post may contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I may earn a commission on sales. In the End Times, one of Satan's most deceitful lies is that a multitude of people have been saved. “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. “ (Matthew 7:14) However, there are many people within the apostate churches who do not have faith in the Word of God. Consequently, Yeshua expressed it in a different manner: “...wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:” (Matthew 7:13) Our God is indeed full of grace and mercy, generously granting every individual with sufficient faith to attain salvation. “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” (Romans 10:3) Through His Son, Yeshua Messiah, God graciously invites all mankind to come to Him. In response, every person faces a crucial choice: to embrace God and follow His path, or to turn away from Him. “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” (John 12:32) Regrettably, the majority of men refuse to accept Yeshua Messiah, even though many feign to pay tribute to Him with insincere gestures. “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” (Matthew 15:8) God Will Allow Men To Believe Lies And Deception God will permit those who are destined for eternal hellfire to persist in their belief in falsehood. God will conceal the truth from them and subject them to a powerful delusion. The reason men perish is not because God wants them to, but quite the opposite, God desires that no one should perish. However, perishing is due to men's insistence on embracing fables, traditions, deceptions, and falsehoods instead of embracing the truth of the Gospel. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) Every individual is misguided by their inherent tendency towards evil (depravity). “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” (James 1:14) God will let them sink deeper into their deceitful ways. It is important to clarify that it is God Himself, not Satan, who causes unbelievers to be spiritually blind. The Scriptures do not mention anywhere that Satan has such authority. “Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.” (Isaiah 6:10) “That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.” (John 12:38-40) “And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.” (2 Cor. 3:13-14) “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Cor. 4:3-4) In the final days, God will unleash a powerful illusion, leading all who embrace falsehood and deceit to persist in their delusion until the very last moment. “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thess. 2:10-12) Given the powerful presence of delusion, and the argument that it may already be among us, it is crucial for every individual to follow the Commandments of God Almighty and His Son, Yeshua Messiah. “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” (Matt. 24:4) Do You Love The Truth? Are you genuinely passionate about seeking the truth or do you find yourself succumbing to the deceitful narratives concocted by the media and the so-called "Christian books" or "Christian teachers"? Have you chosen to close your mind to the radiant light of Yeshua Messiah and embraced the darkness of the satanic apostasy that governs today's churches? Now is the time to choose the truth, even though the Bible states that most people will opt for lies. “...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2) To effectively prepare for the End Times, it is crucial for everyone to possess a deep love for the truth. A Called and Set-Apart People
Tumblr media
A Called and Set-Apart People This post may contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I may earn a commission on sales. A tragic reality that plagues society today is the profound impact of religion, culture, and tradition on individuals. They often infiltrate, manipulate, and reshape people's minds, leading them to embrace or adopt beliefs and values that are inherently contradictory to the teachings found in sacred Scriptures. Although Scripture has not changed or evolved since the days of Abraham, there have been cases where it has been distorted by false teachers. This twisting of scripture has misled and deceived billions of people into conforming to religious dogmas and traditions, which can sometimes be in conflict with the original teachings. The timeless message conveyed by Scripture remains consistent throughout generations. The ultimate takeaway is for us to hold the utmost reverence for Elohim, the Almighty, and faithfully comply with His divine Commandments. This applies to ALL mankind. “For every work shall be brought into right-ruling (righteousness) - including all that is hidden, whether good or whether evil” (Ecc. 12:13-14). Our mission is to spread the pure and untainted truth of Scripture with love and humility, embracing everyone without judgment or condemnation. We will not compromise or be swayed by fear. "For false messiahs and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones" (Matt 24:24). Religion has long deceived lukewarm and ignorant Believers, who lack knowledge and are unwilling to study Scripture themselves. They have been led to accept a counterfeit Gospel that the true Hebrew Messiah of Scripture never taught. Those who truly engage in the study of Scripture and do not rely on distorted interpretations, will come to realize that the Messiah conveyed the identical teachings and commands that His Father had revealed to His people through Moses. There is no introduction of a new or updated version, but a continuity of divine wisdom. "Because I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent Me has given Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that his command is everlasting life. therefore, whatever I speak, as the Father has said to me, so I speak” (John 12:49-50). “For if you believed Mosheh, you would have believed Me, since he wrote about Me. “But you do not believe his writings, how shall you believe My words?” (John 5:46-47) Scripture clearly demonstrates that the Messiah only taught his Father's commands, not his own or a different, updated version of them. This truth is straightforward and not hard to comprehend. If you truly have a deep love for Messiah, who sacrificed Himself for both you and me, it is of utmost importance to protect and abide by His divine instructions - these very instructions which His Father, known as YHWH, revealed to His people through Moses in the initial five books of Scripture. "If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love" (John 15:10). At HaShem's Truth Matters, we share the truth with you because we genuinely love and care for you. Our aim is to ensure that no soul is lost to false teachings or the traditions of men. When it comes to those we care about, deception and manipulation are simply out of the question. For us, integrity is not merely an option, but an absolute necessity.  The Scriptures say that as Believers, we are: Called to love our Father YHWH, above all else, by embracing His Son, our Savior. Let us diligently seek and faithfully serve Him as our one and only First Love Called to obey and guard our Father's Commandments Called to be set-apart in truth & righteousness Called to witness the truth of Scripture, without compromise or fear Called to guide the House of Israel (including Gentiles) out of Babylon, and into covenant with Almighty God Called to be humble servants of our Master Called to be the clean and set-apart Bride of our Hebrew Messiah Read the full article

Things to Do Before the Economy Collapses
Tumblr media
Things to Do Before the Economy Collapses This post may contain affiliate links.  As an Amazon Associate I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.  I shared an article on social media recently discussing the looming possibility of an economic collapse in the near future. To my surprise, a comment caught my attention: "Why am I constantly bombarded with this alarm for years when nothing significant seems to occur?" That's an interesting question. With all the talk about the sky falling and it never actually happening, it's difficult not to hold some doubt. Following the stock market crash in 2008, there was a widespread belief that an impending economic collapse was looming. However, little did they know that the very collapse they feared had already materialized in 2008. Ever since that time, the economy has made a gradual comeback. However, the underlying issues that caused the crash were never addressed, resulting in the revival of a new economic bubble. This bubble, however, is bound to burst eventually. In order to prevent the economy from plunging into utter chaos, the Federal Reserve resorted to printing substantial amounts of money to bolster Wall Street. Subsequently, they were compelled to repeat this action amidst the Covid recession. However, with each instance, they continue to print an even greater amount of money, resulting in the re-inflation and expansion of the "bubble." Consequently, the more it expands, the more catastrophic the subsequent crash will inevitably become. At some point, the economy will reach a stage where the Federal Reserve's ability to rescue it becomes limited. According to economic analysts, that day is nearly upon us. The continuous printing of money will no longer be a viable option due to its adverse impact on inflation. However, raising interest rates would be detrimental to the economy as it would lead to a stagnation. In essence, they have cornered themselves with no viable options. We find ourselves amidst the largest financial bubble of all time. I firmly believe that the upcoming downturn, which some may label as a mere recession, is imminent and will commence in the upcoming months. The markets are on the verge of being rattled, with the Federal Reserve rendered powerless in its attempts to prevent an imminent economic collapse. Given the current circumstances, I firmly believe that it is crucial to prioritize the preparation for an impending financial collapse. Consequently, in this post, I will outline several essential actions to undertake prior to its occurrence. Let us commence with the most apparent measures. Stockpile Necessities It is generally wise to have additional food and water available, especially if you reside in an area where severe weather conditions can disrupt your daily routine. However, in order to adequately prepare for an economic collapse, it is imperative to ensure you have several months' worth of supplies stocked up. Ensure that you have an ample supply of food to endure an entire season without relying on any self-grown produce. Additionally, stock up on a sufficient amount of water to last for several months, and make certain that you have multiple means to purify any future water sources. Stockpile medical supplies and prepare for possible shortage of doctors after a collapse. Prepare for power outages by having cooking and heating solutions. Consider home security measures. Desperate times make for desperate people. Build Some Bug-Out Bags If the collapse is severe enough, your town or city could potentially become extremely hazardous, leaving you with no alternative but to evacuate and seek shelter in a bug-out location. But first, you’ll want to put together bug-out bags for yourself, your family and even your pets. It is advisable to also take into consideration acquiring a reliable bug-out vehicle. If your current means of transportation is limited to a small car, it will be challenging for you to reach your intended destination effectively. Grow Your Own Food If you don't happen to possess a massive underground vault resembling Fort Knox in your own backyard, it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to amass a supply of food vast enough to last you and your loved ones a lifetime. However, an exceptionally viable alternative would be to cultivate your own sustenance. Starting to grow your own food sooner rather than later is essential, considering the significant journey of trial and error required before you reach a point where you can sustain yourself with your own produce. Create Your Own Electricity or Learn to Live Without In the unfortunate event of an economic collapse, placing complete dependence on the power grid seems far from ideal. The greater your reliance on electricity for everyday activities, the further you will be left behind when the power supply ceases to function. Learn how to efficiently perform your daily activities without relying on electricity. By incorporating kitchen gadgets and off-grid lighting that operate independently from power sources, you can significantly enhance your lifestyle. Additionally, when paired with a portable generator to cover your essential needs, you will achieve a level of self-sufficiency and unparalleled comfort. An excellent source of off-grid appliances and tools is Lehman's located in Ohio's Amish country. Keep Cash on Hand If the market crashes, it is important to have cash readily available to quickly make emergency purchases before inflation or a complete economic collapse occurs. Keeping a significant amount of cash on hand can help you navigate through a difficult situation without the need to go to the bank. You never know when the need may arise, particularly during a power outage when credit card transactions are inaccessible. Invest in Precious Metals In times of currency depreciation, gold and silver remain reliable mediums of exchange even in the face of adversity. In fact, during times of inflation, the value of gold and silver skyrockets astonishingly, as these precious metals stand steadfast against the fluctuations of the economy. Ensure that you possess them in a form that is readily exchangeable, such as coins, rather than in a larger format like bars. Stock Up on Items You Can Barter With  In a deflationary collapse, it is advisable to have cash on hand, while in an inflationary collapse, precious metals are recommended. Having all three – cash, precious metals, and barter items – would be ideal, if possible. And in a total collapse, you’ll want barter items. Try to have a little bit of each so you’re prepared for every possibility. Get Out of Debt After securing some funds, precious metals, and items for barter, it is crucial to focus on getting rid of debt. In the event that the economic crisis is not completely devastating and society's infrastructure remains intact, maximizing the value of your money becomes essential. Therefore, prioritize becoming debt-free as swiftly as you possibly can! You need to ensure that you are able to promptly adapt to any sudden shifts in the economy. In the event of inflation, the risk of losing your home or facing scarcity can become a grim reality. It is crucial to avoid being indebted to your creditors for the funds necessary to ensure your survival. Lower Monthly Bills & Spend Less Along the same lines as clearing your debts, make a conscious effort to reduce your expenses and minimize your spending at the store. By doing so, you will free up your funds for more significant pursuits. Being indebted to multiple sources can be a significant disadvantage in times of crisis. Earlier, we discussed some excellent methods for reducing your monthly expenses, such as cultivating your own food, generating your own electricity, and eliminating your debts. Create an Emergency Fund Create an emergency fund after getting out of debt. This fund will help you handle any unexpected situation during a disaster. Saving 3-6 months' expenses can prevent you from entering crisis mode during an unstable economy. To do this, start learning new ways to save money. Learn to Eat Healthy and Exercise Eating properly and staying active are crucial in preparing for a survival scenario, such as an economic collapse. During such situations, your energy expenditure will likely increase as you strive to ensure your survival. Therefore, establishing good eating habits and engaging in regular exercise is essential to equip yourself for the challenges that may arise. Knowing the right fuel to nourish your body will yield long-term benefits when you find yourself striving to stay satisfied. Learn Self-Defense Now is the perfect time to learn self-defense. Begin by getting some firearms training and becoming skilled with rifles, shotguns, and pistols. These skills can be essential to protecting yourself, others, and for hunting purposes. Make sure to stockpile ammunition in case of a shortage or a time when it becomes difficult to purchase or find any. Enhance the Security of Your Home In the aftermath of an economic collapse, we must be vigilant as there will be numerous individuals driven by desperation who, without hesitation, may resort to breaking into our homes to access essential provisions for their families. Make it difficult for intruders. Strengthen the security of your doors and windows, install alarm systems to prevent surprise attacks, install solar-powered motion lights to discourage them, and acquire firearms and ammunition as a last line of defense in case they find a way into your home. By following the tips above, you can go a long way to being able to survive the coming economic collapse. Read the full article

The Deuteronomy 13 Test for a False Prophet
Tumblr media
The Deuteronomy 13 Test for a False Prophet This post may contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I may earn a commission on sales. Have you ever pondered why the Jewish people fail to grasp the profound truth that Jesus, also known as Yeshua in Hebrew, is the long-awaited Messiah prophesied by the ancient Prophets? It appears incredibly straightforward to us. We often believe that if we simply introduce them to the New Testament, they will instantly comprehend its meaning. If they refuse it, the fault lies within them. However, should we not question our own role in this? What responsibility do we bear in the matter? If you are truly committed to your mission of evangelization, then prepare yourself for the ultimate challenge: Can you effectively demonstrate to someone of Jewish faith that Yeshua is the long-awaited Messiah?  Paul's daily routine in the synagogues, as portrayed in the Book of Acts, was dedicated to spreading the truth. Countless Jews were enlightened, recognizing Yeshua as the long-awaited Messiah who selflessly atoned for our sins.
But, that is not happening so much today.
Why? It's confusing to us that Jews today have no greater understanding of the Scriptures than their ancestors did in the first century. How would you approach a conversation with someone who is Jewish? Can you effectively persuade them that Yeshua is indeed the long-awaited Messiah? Is there any reason why they might have reservations about Yeshua? During the initial fourteen years following the crucifixion, an immense number of Jews, consisting of thousands upon thousands, eagerly sought knowledge about the first arrival of their Messiah and His true identity. At that time, the focus was primarily on the Jews, with the Gentiles not yet playing a significant role. The Book of Acts provides detailed accounts of this historical reality, which is widely acknowledged and accepted. Why haven't thousands, if not tens of thousands of Jews embraced their Jewish Messiah Yeshua as they did in the first century? What altered the course of events? What caused this to cease? Are many teaching something different from what our Messiah truly taught? Are many teaching something different from what the Apostles taught? Are many teaching something different from what Paul taught? These men managed to introduce the Messiah to a multitude of Jews. What could possibly be the obstacle today? What exactly is our dilemma? There are various issues that need to be addressed, but they are not insurmountable. It is possible that these problems stem from a misinterpretation of prophecy or an excessive attachment to traditions that contradict the teachings of God's Word. This can lead to a state of blindness, as highlighted in Mark 7:13. When one's own doctrine is contrary to the Word of God, it can be challenging to perceive Yeshua as the embodiment of God's message (John 1:14; Rev. 19:13). These difficulties are particularly relevant for certain individuals within the Jewish community. While overcoming these challenges may require a considerable amount of time and patience, they are by no means insurmountable. Paul experienced both success and failure throughout his journeys. Although it is true that some of the Jews were separated from the Tree, as mentioned in Romans 11, it is important to acknowledge that many of them truly embraced the message of Yeshua. This transformation was made possible through the teachings of the Apostles, especially Paul. Let's explore the primary obstacle that often prevents Jews from embracing Yeshua (Jesus) as the long-awaited Messiah. During the first century, Paul frequently engaged in teaching the Word of God and spreading the teachings of Messiah in various synagogues.  “Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God” (Acts 9:20). “Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there” (Acts 17:17). “And he came to Ephesus, and left them there; but he himself entered the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews” (Acts 17:17). “And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God” (Acts 19:8). To have impactful discussions with Jews, a deep understanding of prophecy and Yeshua's Gospel accounts is essential. Although challenging, Paul's efforts with the Jews proved fruitful on certain occasions. Additionally, as previously stated, Jewish leadership frequently opposed Paul, just as they did with Yeshua. Paul, similarly to Yeshua, posed a grave threat to the established religious system based on traditions and doctrines, which Yeshua condemned as a manifestation of lawlessness. Paul, like Yeshua in Mark 7, John 7:19, and Matthew 23, fervently denounced the traditions and doctrines that contradicted the teachings of Moses. Yeshua's message can be summarized as recognizing the goodness of what Moses wrote, while criticizing the Jewish leadership for their misguided traditions and doctrines that contradicted Moses. A significant number of Jews turned away from the misleading religious practices and traditions that arose from this theological evolution. Instead, they chose to devote themselves exclusively to the Word of God and Yeshua. As a result, the Jewish leadership grew increasingly anxious. Their nerves were rattled by the emerging threat to their power and influence.  To clarify, Yeshua and His followers did not oppose the teachings of Moses. Instead, they opposed the Oral Law or the "commandments of men", as they were known among the Jews of that day. Today, the ancient compilation of Jewish oral law is widely known and recognized as the Talmud. This sacred text encompasses the expansive wisdom that was meticulously transcribed and enriched with additional insights, thus augmenting the divine Law revealed to the Jewish people. They constructed barriers surrounding the Word of God, imposing their own intricate commandments dictating how God's people should follow His Commandments. They excessively restricted the guidelines and even created new ones. It's ironic that the same thing has happened within traditional Christianity. The construction of formidable barriers around God's Word had the unfortunate consequence of obscuring the essence of the Word itself within their teachings and behavior. Consequently, God's Word became veiled and, as Yeshua declared, rendered ineffective. A false religion was constructed, distorting the true essence of God's Word. Man-made commandments transformed God's Law into a heavy burden, to the point where it ceased to be divine and instead became a complex framework built upon God's Law.
On the Sabbath, our Creator commanded us to rest. However, the "oral law" developed numerous guidelines to determine the true essence of resting and abstaining from work. These instructions were provided by individuals who "claimed" to understand how to fulfill God's Commandments.

Instead of following God, they were actually following a mere man. In this system, men assumed the role of God. Those who held power in this oral law system started to feel their authority and practices being challenged by Yeshua and His followers. Yeshua and His Disciples were dedicated to guiding people to follow the Word of God, rather than the mere commandments of human beings. The profound impact of this approach led to the Pharisees and Sadducees making a decision to take action against those that threatened their false ways. It was necessary for them to create the impression that Yeshua was contradicting Moses' teachings, as opposing the Talmud's authority, since it did not directly originate from God's Law. They became infuriated when others refused to adhere to their doctrines and traditions outlined in the Talmud. This is where things start to get intriguing. Jewish leaders were unable to provide evidence that Yeshua and His followers went against the teachings of Moses. As a result, they resorted to fabricating false witnesses against them. Regrettably, Stephen's story is one of a Jew who strayed from his religious customs and instead chose to devote himself solely to Yeshua and the teachings of God's Word. They also set up false witnesses who said, “This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place and the law; for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us” (Acts 6:13). It is evident that claiming that Yeshua altered the ways of God, as stated by Moses, is categorized as false testimony here. However, if this were true, it would actually constitute true testimony, rather than false testimony. Just like Yeshua, they attempted to do the exact thing. In Luke 6:1-2, they unjustly accused Him of Sabbath-breaking, when in truth, He was merely challenging Jewish traditions and doctrines. When it comes to the Law of God, there is no violation of any of His Commandments when one picks and consumes grain on the Sabbath. Nowhere in the Bible can such a commandment be found. Nonetheless, it does violate specific rabbinical commandments. The Talmud says: 'In case a woman rolls wheat to remove the husks, it is considered as sifting; if she rubs the heads of wheat, it is regarded as threshing; if she cleans off the side-adherencies, it is sifting out fruit; if she bruises the ears, it is grinding; if she throws them up in her hand, it is winnowing'" Yeshua could not have broken any of God's Commandments, as doing so would mean committing sin according to (1 John 3:4). Therefore, He remained our flawless sacrifice. If any doctrine presents Yeshua as teaching or practicing anything that contradicts the writings of Moses or any established truth in the Word, it inevitably undermines the perfection of His sacrifice. The Talmud provides specific instructions for hand washing before a meal, and interestingly, Yeshua once challenged the Pharisees' beliefs regarding this practice. “Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?” (Mark 7:5). Observe how the Pharisees and scribes emphasize the importance of following the tradition of the elders rather than the Commandments of God. They audaciously attempt to correct and admonish Yeshua and His Disciples, solely relying on human tradition rather than divine Commandments. It is evident that washing hands is not inherently harmful; in fact, most individuals nowadays practice the habit of washing their hands before meals. The association of spiritual purity and impurity with their commandments indeed posed a significant challenge. They went as far as detailing the proper procedure for hand-washing rituals. For those interested, all the information can be found in the Jewish Talmud. It is only God who can determine the circumstances and actions that make a person clean or unclean. In their arrogance, people have exceeded their limits by assuming authority that belongs solely to God. Yeshua was motivated by this to instruct them to return solely to what Moses wrote, forsaking their futile traditions and doctrines. He urged them to re-establish their submission to God's authority, rather than placing themselves above it. “He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.  And he said to them: “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and,‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ But you say that if a man says to his father or mother: ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God), then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. Thus, you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that ” (Mark 7:8-13). The Jews held their ways in high regard, oblivious to their own errors. Yeshua, in Matthew 23, pointed out that despite reciting the Law of God word-for-word from Moses' Seat, they failed to actually apply it in their teachings and actions. Instead, they established their own set of commandments and practices. For example, they emphasized the importance of washing hands before partaking of bread, and adhering to the rule of not rubbing two grains together on the Sabbath. They taught two distinct sets of laws—one derived from the writings of Moses on the Seat of Moses, while the other originated from the Talmud, the oral law, which countered and invalidated the teachings of Moses. According to Yeshua, those individuals are referred to as hypocrites. He advises us to prioritize the former rather than the latter.
Tumblr media
Only what Moses wrote would be read from this seat. Yeshua emphasized the importance of observing and doing what he said. “Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples, saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do” (Matthew 23:1-3) Regrettably, Jewish leaders, despite their initial adherence to the Law of God when reading from the Seat of Moses, deviated from its true teachings. They started promoting and enforcing their own interpretations and practices that directly contradicted the original teachings of Moses. As Yeshua said, “...but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.” The people who criticized the Disciples' actions were actually hypocrites themselves. They claimed to teach God's Law, but failed to follow it. Yeshua fearlessly exposed their hypocrisy, which earned Him their hatred and a death sentence. These individuals were rather fond of their religious practice: “Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?” (John 7:19) Continuing to read Matthew 23, we discover that their hearts were misguided. Even when they obeyed God's Commandments and followed their own paths, it was solely to inflate their own egos and attract attention to themselves. They initially taught the Law of God, but then proceeded to establish a separate set of rules, their own law, which led them to be labeled as hypocrites and vipers. “Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness” (Matthew 23:28). “Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?” (Matthew 23:32). The true essence of obeying God's Commandments lies in our love for Him and for others (1 John 5:2-3). It calls for us to embrace humility, putting ourselves beneath others, rather than indulging in self-love and self-exaltation. That is what Moses wrote, and the Pharisees missed it. The author of Psalm 119 undoubtedly grasped this concept well, which is precisely why Jewish leadership wrestled so intensely with Yeshua and His Disciples. He fully revealed the true purpose of the Law of God, as written by Moses, despite the Jewish leadership's persistent attempts to safeguard their false religious practices that went against Moses' teachings. Paul, like Yeshua, faced unjust allegations accusing him of contradicting Moses' teachings. “And when they heard it they began glorifying God; and they said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Law; and they have been told about you, that you are teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children nor to walk according to the customs. What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come. Therefore do this that we tell you. We have four men who are under a vow; take them and purify yourself along with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads; and all will know that there is nothing to the things which they have been told about you, but that you yourself also walk orderly, keeping the Law.” Pay attention to how these devout followers were fervent in their dedication to God's Law and how Paul is being wrongfully accused of abandoning Moses' teachings. James asserts that the allegations against Paul are unfounded, emphasizing that Paul upholds and imparts the entirety of God's Law, as it was written by Moses. James declares that living in an orderly manner, or what he refers to as "walking orderly", entails applying the Law of God. (Acts 21). Given that James affirms that Paul certainly upheld and transmitted the teachings of Moses, and considering that Paul heeded James' advice to demonstrate that he did not teach contrary to Moses, we can draw only three feasible conclusions. Either James and Paul were either: Liars Lunatics Legitimate Once again, James clearly states that "walking orderly" implies adhering to the Law as penned by Moses. Consequently, James implies that anyone who fails to walk and teach in accordance with Moses' writings is, in essence, walking in a disorderly manner. If we don't want to unjustly label Paul and James as dishonest or insane individuals, it is essential to trust their authenticity. Those who are absolutely convinced in their interpretation of Paul's letters and firmly believe that they contradict the teachings of Moses might find themselves deeply perplexed in this matter. This is precisely why Peter issued a warning concerning Paul's letters. He cautioned that they possess a degree of complexity, making them susceptible to distortion, and that they have the potential to facilitate disobedience. (2 Peter 3:15-17). Read the full article

Introduction to Ancient Hebrew
Tumblr media
Introduction to Ancient Hebrew This post may contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I may earn a commission on sales. Given the choice between a fast food meal and fine dining at a 5-star restaurant, which option would you prefer? While both establishments serve food, it is undeniable that the 5-star restaurant offers a superior dining experience and a more exquisite ambiance compared to a fast food joint. The Hebrew Bible can be seen this way. While reading an English translation of the Bible still provides nourishment, it lacks the profound impact of the original Hebrew text. Understanding Hebraic concepts can be a valuable source of knowledge, even for those who are unfamiliar with the Hebrew language. Ancient Pictograph of the Hebrew Word “El” Meaning God
Tumblr media
A remarkable inscription dating back 4,000 years, was uncovered in the beautiful land of Israel. This precious artifact was adorned with two letters, perfectly preserved, written in the ancient pictographic Hebrew script. The inscription is truly captivating, showcasing the magnificent history and legacy of this remarkable region. At the very beginning of the script, there lies a mesmerizing letter called Aleph, which takes the form of an ox head and symbolizes “unparalleled strength”. Beside that is the letter Lamed, which is depicted as a picture of a shepherd's staff symbolizing “authority”. When these pictographs are combined, the word "el" is formed, meaning "the mighty one of authority." The Hebrew Bible, known as the Tanakh among Jews and the Old Testament among Christians, was initially composed in the pictographic Hebrew script. There was also a modified version commonly referred to as Paleo-Hebrew. The authors of these texts were Hebrews who had a language and culture that differed greatly from our own. Therefore, delving into the study of the ancient Hebrew alphabet, language, and culture is crucial in order to gain a deeper understanding of the Biblical texts. The Ancient Hebrew Alphabet The Ancient Hebrew language utilized a distinctive writing system consisting of 22 letters, each of which was represented by a picture depicting symbols like an ox, tent, foot, or door. These pictographic letters not only served as sound identifiers, but also possessed profound meanings that added further depth to their significance. Looking at Hebrew prefixes is the most effective way to showcase the advantages of comprehending the meanings of each pictograph.  In Hebrew, there are five commonly used Hebrew letters that serve as prefixes to convey additional information. We will explore how these prefixes function and how the visual representations of the prefixes assist in defining their meanings. In the following examples, we will utilize the Hebrew term "erets" (Strong's #776), which conveys the notion of “land”, and we will incorporate the prefix preceding it.
Tumblr media
This letter is called Beit and it carries the soothing sound of "b". Beit is more than just a simple symbol; it portrays a fascinating image of a nomadic tent, reminiscent of those used by the ancient Hebrews. Within this humble shelter lies the essence of family, encapsulating the warmth and love that dwell inside. The letter's significance lies either inside or within. When placed before the word "erets," it creates the word "be'erets," which conveys the profound notion of "within a land."
Tumblr media
The letter Waw represents the "w" sound (referred to as vav in modern Hebrew, pronounced with a "v" sound) and is depicted as a symbol of “unity”, resembling a peg or nail that brings things together securely. This letter is used as a symbol for "and" when adding things together. When this letter is added to the word "erets," it forms a new word: "we'erets," which means "and a land."
Tumblr media
The letter Hey is pronounced with an emphatic "h" sound and is represented by an image of a man triumphantly raising his arms, passionately pointing towards a magnificent sight, as if inviting you to witness its incredible splendor. The purpose of this letter is to signify The" when referring to something significant. By adding this letter as a prefix to the word “erets”, it creates the powerful term ha'erets, which signifies "The Land."
Tumblr media
The letter Lamed symbolizes the soothing sound of "l" and embodies a captivating image of a shepherd's staff. This staff, once wielded by the caring shepherd, skillfully guided the sheep towards greener pastures and life-sustaining water sources. The term "le" serves as a prefix to the word "erets" to create "le'erets," which signifies "toward a land." This letter is a crucial designation of direction.
Tumblr media
The letter Mem depicts a magnificent "m" sound, showcasing a captivating image of water. Furthermore, it symbolizes the harmonious flow of water in both humans and animals, resembling the sacred essence of life - the vital fluid that courses through our veins, commonly known as blood. Blood carries on from generation to generation, symbolizing “continuity”. It signifies a connection with one's ancestors and a link to the past. When the prefix "me" is added to the word "erets," it forms the word "me'erets," which represents the concept of “origin from a specific land.” The Ancient Hebrew Vocabulary Hebrew root words are the fundamental building blocks of the language, created by combining two Hebrew letters. These words are versatile because they can be used as both nouns and verbs. The meanings of individual letters hold significant meaning, which can help unveil the true Hebraic essence of a word. Delve into the profound connections between the meanings of these letters and the meanings of nouns and verbs. Allow me to provide you with a handful of compelling examples.
Tumblr media
The initial letter of the Hebrew alphabet is called Aleph and is depicted as a symbol of an ox. Just as the ox represents “strength and power” so does this letter symbolize the same characteristics.
Tumblr media
The letter Bet (B) represents a tent or house, a place of residence for the family. When combined, these letters form the word “ab”, embodying the concept of "the power of the home" and embodying the role of the "father."
Tumblr media
The first letter here is the Aleph (A), which is depicted as the image of an ox. Just like the mighty strength of an ox, this letter also symbolizes “strength”. The second letter is the Mem (M), which symbolizes “water”. The meaning of "strong water" is revealed through these two letters. It was the Hebrews who developed a technique of boiling animal skins in water to create a substance known as glue. Throughout this process, the skin would gradually decay, ultimately leading to a thick and sticky liquid forming on the surface of the water. The viscous substance was extracted and employed as a formidable adhesive called "strong water". This term originates from the Hebrew word “am”, which symbolizes "mother", the one who firmly unifies the family.
Tumblr media
The primary letter in this image is "B," represented by a captivating image of a tent or house. Following that, the second letter, "N," showcases a fascinating picture of a seed. The seed represents the dawn of a vibrant existence, sprouting forth to sow the seeds of a new era. In fact, this profound symbol can be interpreted as a declaration of “perseverance”. When united, these two letters forge the powerful word BeN, signifying the “eternal continuity of our lineage”, serving as the Hebrew word for "son."
Tumblr media
The initial letter is the Aleph (A), depicting an ox, symbolizing strength. As the ox exemplifies “mightiness”, this letter also embodies great power. The following letter, hhet (Hh), resembles a tent wall, representing “protection and shelter”. The wall serves as a formidable shield guarding the contents within its boundaries from the external world. When united, these letters give birth to the noun AHh, embodying the essence of a robust barrier and symbolizing the “brother” as the steadfast safeguard of the family.
Tumblr media
The first letter is lamed in Hebrew, represented by the picture of a staff. The second letter is called kaph, depicted as the palm of a hand. When the staff is held in the palm, it signifies a “journey or walking”. The verb LaK is used to express the action of “walking or going.” "Go Down" The first letter is resh (R), which portrays the majestic countenance of a noble man. The second letter, dalet (D), serves as a captivating depiction of a grand entrance to a tent. Entering or exiting through the door of the nomad's tent required one to stoop down due to its low roof. The verb RaD translates to "go down".
Tumblr media
The initial letter, Ayin (A), is symbolized by an eye, conveying the essence of “experience”. As for the second letter, Lamed (L), its pictorial representation is a staff that also signifies a “yoke” placed upon the shoulders. When combined, these two letters form the word AL, which means “to experience the yoke”. As the yoke is lifted up onto the shoulders, this verb implies “going up”. When used as a noun, this same two-letter root signifies a “yoke”. Uniting The initial letter, Q, represents a captivating image of the sun gracefully ascending or descending on the horizon. This symbolizes the essence of “unity and gathering”, as the light beautifully merges at the point where the earth meets the sky. The second letter hhet (Hh) is a compelling depiction of a formidable wall that serves as a barrier. When combined, these two letters create the powerful word QaHh, representing the act of “uniting that which has been divided”, the profound act of taking.
Tumblr media
The initial letter represents the sound shin (Sh) and depicts the action of pressing with the image of teeth. The subsequent letter, beyt (B), symbolizes a tent or home. The two letters combined create the powerful word ShaB, which symbolizes a “sense of urgency to seek refuge” and signifies the act of “coming back.”
Tumblr media
The letter Q represents the rising or setting sun on the horizon, symbolizing “unity and gathering”, as the light comes together at the edge of the world. The second letter, resh (R), depicts the head of a man. When combined, these two letters create the word QaR, which signifies “a gathering of men” and signifies the act of “meeting or calling out”. An Act of True Understanding The opening letter, known as dalet (D), portrays a visual representation of the tent entrance - a gateway for easy passage. As for the second letter, ayin (A), it symbolizes the intricate beauty of the eye. These two letters, when combined, create the powerful word DA. It represents the mesmerizing motion of the eye, as if absorbing everything, and signifies “the act of true understanding.” The Ancient Hebrew Language The Hebrew Bible was penned by the Hebrews around 2,500 to 3,500 years ago, when their culture and way of life greatly contrasted with our present reality. As 20th century Americans, our interpretation of the words and phrases in the Word of God is often influenced by our culture and lifestyle. Rain is a prime illustration of how culture can shape an individual's perception of a word. The meaning of rain may hold negativity for a bride and groom getting ready for an outdoor wedding, yet for a farmer in the midst of a drought, that very word carries a sense of optimism and positivity. Rain may be seen as a picnic spoiler by many of us, but for the ancient Hebrews, it symbolized the very essence of life. Without rain, their nomadic existence would come to a halt. It is important to grasp the cultural significance embedded in the words of the Bible, as much can be lost or disregarded without this understanding. The language of a group of people is intricately linked to their culture. This holds true for the nomadic Hebrews of the Near East, whose language is profoundly intertwined with their nomadic way of life. Every Hebrew word captures a vivid action witnessed during the nomadic odyssey of the Hebrews across the untamed wilderness. When we bring back the Hebraic essence of the text, we discover a prevailing theme that permeates the Bible, shining forth in all its splendor - our enduring journey as nomads through the vast wilderness of life. Most people wrongly assume that everyone thinks in a similar way. However, the truth is quite the opposite. The thinking processes of different cultures are incredibly diverse, often contrasting like day and night. On this website under the Learn tab, we will delve into Hebrew words and concepts, aiming to gain a profound understanding of the Hebrew mindset. A proper comprehension of ancient Hebrew thought is essential for a thorough understanding of the Bible. When we interpret the Biblical text based on our own perspective, we risk diluting it with modern Greco-Roman thinking. During my extensive research on the language used in the Bible, I have made a remarkable discovery of three fundamental components to the proper interpretation of the words and ideas within the text. The Culture Like any language, Hebrew is deeply intertwined with the culture of its speakers and writers. When reading the Bible, whether in Hebrew, English or any other language, it is essential that it be read through the eyes and mind of the Hebrew culture and not one's own culture. To illustrate this let’s look at Isaiah 40:22: “It is he... that stretches out the heavens as a curtain.” Based on our cultural knowledge, we can infer that this refers to the formation of stars, which are colossal spheres of blazing gas located billions of miles away from us. However, even though this perspective may be accurate, it is crucial that we disregard our concept and rather comprehend it from Isaiah's viewpoint of the heavens.  Within the Hebrews' goat hair tents, the roof is dark, yet the gaps between the fibers of the material enable tiny beams of light to seep through, creating the illusion of stars in the pitch-black sky. Because of this, the Hebrews perceived the nighttime sky as an expansive canopy, symbolizing “God's presence and protection” enveloping the entire world, His beloved creation. Action The languages we use today have been shaped by the ancient Greco-Roman civilization, which cultivated a rich vocabulary of abstract words. Abstract words are those that cannot be tied to any of our five senses: hearing, sight, touch, smell, and taste. Every Hebrew word is connected to a tangible concept, a substance of “action”. An excellent example of this contrast is the word anger, which, from a contemporary standpoint, may seem like an abstract notion.  In Hebrew, the term for anger is אף (aph), which, intriguingly, refers to "a flaring of the nostrils in anger." This vivid word captures the essence of this powerful emotion, conveying a tangible image of its expression. Remarkably, אף (aph) also happens to be the Hebrew word for nose, unveiling an intriguing connection between anger and this vital facial feature. On this website, you will have the opportunity to break free from abstract thinking and embrace the concrete significance of words, as they were originally perceived from a Hebraic standpoint. Function In Hebrew thought, the emphasis lies on the “practicality of things”, while we, in our Greco-Roman mindset, tend to prioritize their “outward appearance.” As we delve into the pages of the Holy Scriptures, our minds are incessantly crafting a vivid illustration of the words depicted within. However, we must recognize that the original author seeks not to portray a mere physical image, but rather a profound depiction of “purpose.” An example of this concept is: “...and this is how you are to make it, the length of the vessel is three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.”  (Gen. 6:15) Does this description provide us with a visual depiction of the ark? Absolutely not. Rather, it elucidates its purpose by emphasizing the tremendous size and capacity of the vessel, highlighting its ability to transport an extensive array of animals. By keeping these three keys in mind while reading the Scriptures, you will be able to approach the Bible from a Hebrew perspective rather than the Greek perspective that we have been taught since birth. The Hebrew Bible The process of translation involves numerous hidden and unfamiliar elements, often overlooked by those who simply read the translated text. Many individuals who read the Bible assume that the English translation is a precise and faithful rendition of the original scripture. However, an exact translation is impossible due to the significant disparities between the language and culture of the Ancient Hebrews and ours.  The translator plays a crucial role in connecting languages and cultures. Given the various possible translations of Hebrew text, the personal beliefs of the translator greatly influence the outcome. The translation of a Biblical text represents the translator's interpretation, shaped by their own theology and doctrine. Readers are compelled to rely on the translator's interpretation as the basis for understanding the text. Read the full article
