plot summary: to appease her parents in senior year, courtney , closeted lesbian, begins to fake date her best friend alejandro, who is also gay. they are playing as belle and gaston in their school .play and this fake relationship is a shock to everybody (besides their parents) and definitely to izzy and noah, another pair of best friends who had been crushing on the more popular pair. noah & alejandros friendship becomes strained as they pine for each other in the weird situation, while izzy (doing costumes and helping band in the musical) and courtney actually become closer and courtney starts to panic!! TENSIONS RISE as the musical draws near. what will these gay little idiots do?!

sub plots: heather, queen bee, noah’s step sister and alejandro’s ex girlfriend, enlists the help of duncan (courtneys bad boy ex) and sierra (school gossip) to help reveal that the relationship is a sham. duncan has to help with musical behind the scenes shit as part of his detention and ends up getting a crush on his best friend dj, the understudy for the role of the beast who has to step up after justin gets sick the week before the big show!

other things: geoff is lumiere and trent is cogsworth theyre having a great time, eva and noah are also helping with tech stuff for the musical, courtney’s best friends are bridgette gwen leshawna pretty much and theyre all so pretty and fun, alejandro starts getting jealous of owen, heather and noah actually become friends, izzy helps eva get with beth, lindsay and tyler are always trying to hang out with alejandro and courtney to do couples stuff like go bowling and heather try to invite herself to get info, jose is a jerk, sierra runs an instagram thats just paparazzi pictures of students falling asleep around the school.. FUN STUFF!

and the soundtrack slaps and heather is funny alejandro is funny courtney is funny izzy and eva are funny they go to a lot of breakfast diners and everybody is happy and gay >:3

the courtney-lindsay rivalry in action was the funniest dynamic that season because every interaction would be courtney saying that lindsay was undermining her authority and lindsay going “the only thing i mine are diamonds in minecraft uwu” and then accusing her of murder

Gwourtney high school neighbours AU where Gwen is always annoying Courtney by blasting loud music at night and hanging out of her window and that’s actually how she met Duncan because one day she saw smoke outside of her window and was going to go shout at her but whoah? It’s some smug guy with a stupid green mohawk just staring at her and she literally screams in frustration. So anyways, duncney happens n then they have a messy breakup but Gwen keeps on hanging out with and having Duncan over  so Courtney gets rrly mad and literally grows a bigger vendetta against Gwen because she thinks that Gwen’s the reason they broke up when in actuality, Gwen has been pining for Courtney for like years.
