This is my #scrawlrbox piece of the month. The materials were very unexpected and I was a little skeptical at the start. The challenge was office highlight, you can see in my first attempt I took the challenge a little bit too seriously. I didn’t love the way the first one looked but it gave me just the right ideas to create the second one. I then interpreted the challenge as what would happen if you doodled at your desk. I'm really happy with the way this second piece turned out.

Tech Culture E
Texting has been a big part of my life though. If you didn’t have a phone and couldn’t text you could be left out of so much. Like when all your friends got together and they didn’t invite you because they couldn't text you. The biggest punishment you could get was getting your cell phone taken away. It was like being grounded because your whole social world was taken away. As I went through high school this became harder and harder because without you phone sometimes you wouldn’t be able to ask about work or work on a project. In the end, it wasn’t even an option for punishment because we have become so attached to our phones.
There are definitely times that you text, call, or talk in person. For example, you don’t text or call someone to break up with them. That is still a standard in our culture. It’s seen as rude and cowardly. If you just want to make plans with someone you would just shoot them a text. There are certain things though, that you wouldn’t text. For example last night a deer ran into my car while I was stopped. After I got to where I was going I didn’t just text my mom that a deer ran into my car; I called her because that kind of information is too important to text.
Pros and cons of having a phone is being connected to everyone all the time. Being able to contact people in case of an emergency or if you need to get ahold of theem right away. Some of the problems I have can be the constantly getting texts from people you don’t want to talk to. Or sometimes sending an important text and waiting for what seems like forever for them to text you back. Sometimes your words can be miseteriperted by the person thats reading it.
I don’t that I have ever delivered extremly inprotant news over text. Minus little things like getting a one at solo and ensemble. I’ve told guys that I have feeling for them over text and had long lengthy aruguements but I don’t really consider that “news”.
