Taking in her advice, you decided to completely revamp yourself, a glow up! And when summer came around you couldn’t wait to get into that car with jay, your annoying older brother.. and drive until the summer house. Finally Heeseung and Jake would be able to see how much you’ve grown… and maybe they’d finally give you a chance, a chance to belong to them for a while… but you didn’t know if this summer you wanted Heeseung or Jake…

“Sweets!” Jake said pulling you into a hug. You hugged him back pulling him into the room. You closed the door behind you and layed down on his bed. He followed shortly behind doing the same but sleeping side ways instead of on his back. He looked at you before patting your hips to turn you sideways. “what’s up sweets you usually don’t come into my room…” he said putting your hair off your face. “I was wondering…” you said before clearing your throat and smiling at him. “I’m not sure if you’d be comfortable with this” you said staring into his eyes. “Go on sweets cmon say your words” he urged you to continue what you were saying “ Wanttogotothedebsballwithmeplease” You said, chewing up all your words together. “sweets, i didn’t hear you what did you say ?” He said teasingly as he giggled. You hit his chest playfully before sighing and opening your mouth again. “ I was wondering if you wanted to be my date for the debutant ball” you said before covering your face as you heard his small giggles filling the room. “ come on none of that sweets of course id love to go with you!! I’ve been waiting all summer for this” He said before removing your hands off your face. He pulled you into a hug as you stayed in that uncomfortable yet comforting position for a few minutes. “Sweets, why did you pick me and not heeseung..?” He asked patting your hair. You pulled away from his hug before sitting up, he followed doing the same and putting his back on the headboard.

“well I was always confused between you and heeseung…” he nodded listening to you “ but you have been so sweet to me these days and heeseung had been the complete opposite… I wanted to prove to you that I’ve grown and that I’m old enough to know what’s wrong and right for me… and you were just the right decision” you said staring at the wall instead of Jake. “Oh sweets, aren’t you the cutest!” He said kissing you on the head. He stared at your lips before talking again “can I?” He asked pointing to your lips. “Always Jake, never need to ask” you said to him before leaning in. The kiss was sweet and short. Both pulling away giggling like little kids. At night, you went back to your room leaving Jake alone since you weren’t sure if he’d be comfortable with sleeping with you tonight.

The next morning you woke up early and got ready to knock on jakes door. You knocked once.. twice… three times but no answers were given. So you peeked your head inside and decided to go in. When you went in, you noticed that he was still deep in sleep. You sat down on his bed near where he was sleeping and tried waking him up gently. “Jakey, wake up we need to go shopping for your outfit”you said rubbing his shoulder up and down. “Mhmm five more minute please” he said pulling you onto him. You gasped because he had probably not realized that you were the one he pulled in but you let him hug you back to sleep. After a few minutes the position started to hurt your shoulder so you decided to wake Jake up again. “Jakey come on love we need to get going” you said again. He opened his eyes, his hair all messy before his jaw dropped. “An.. angel..” he said touching your face. “Jakeyyy” You said whining at his comment. “Ah sweets whats wrong” he said finally slapping himself back to conscious . “Jaeyun we need to go shop for your suit, you need one for the ball baby” you said arranging his hair. “Mhm give me 30 minutes. be a good girl and stay on my bed” he said slowly getting up and making his way to the bathroom he had. You waited around 20 minutes texting Yunjin here and there before getting bored.

“Jaeyunnnn can I pick out your clothes for the day?” You asked through the door as you heard the water running. “Of course sweet pick out anything you like from my closet!” You giggled skipping your way to his closet before checking what he said… well since you were wearing pink today… so you picked out a pink polo along side a white pair of shorts. You found a sweatshirt that would complete the look and sat it down on the bed. “Having fun sweets?” You turned around as you jumped. There he was water dripping down his body with only a towel covering his bottom half. You gasped before he started laughing “did I surprise you? It’s all your love” he said before taking the clothes from the bed and going back into the toilet. He left you there as a flustered mess. You simple sighed and walked out the room making your way to the kitchen. You found heeseung drinking his daily dose of black coffee as you grabbed a muffin from the counter. “Oh sweets I should definitely let you pick out my outfits more often” Jake said stumbling into the kitchen pecking your cheeks. Heeseung gasped before taking his coffee and walking away. Your eyes followed his mouvement before you decided that you weren’t ashamed of your choice. You didn’t need to comfort heeseung by telling him some half assed bullshit because you were proud and confident that Jake was the right choice for you. You went back to talking with Jake as he got his car out the garage.

The day was way more fun than you had expected. Jake brought you shopping, he kept buying every single thing you’d touch before you thought about tying your hands together. You bought his suit that matched your beautiful white dress. Since he had been treating you the whole day, you decided to buy him todays lunch. Since he loved eating steak, you called for a reservation at the best restaurant in town. “Omg sweets! You didn’t need to! You’re the cutest thing ever” he said placing kisses all over your face. You giggled “Jake I want to pay you back!” you said hugging him.

As the sun began to set, you and Jake decided to take a stroll on the beach, enjoying the ambiance. Jake's arm was around your shoulders, and you leaned into him “Thank you so much for this jakey" you said, looking up at him with a smile. "I'm really glad you agreed to go to the debs ball with me… I really really appreciate it jakey" He smiled back, his eyes reflecting the genuine happiness he felt. "Sweets, I'm the lucky one here. I love spending time with you… and I simply cannot wait for the ball. You're going to be the most beautiful person there." You blushed, as he left a small peck on your lips. "You're too sweet, jakey" you replied, leaning back in for a soft kiss.

As the night began to settle in, and the mosquitos began to bite you, Jake suggested you head home. The car ride back was filled with small giggles, kisses and just looks of love you’d find in the best romance movies. When you finally got into the house, you didn’t want to leave jake. You refused to let him go until he bribed you. “Sweets, you need to go sleep okay? You need to rest so that you’ll look even more beautiful tomorrow…” you shook your head refusing to part ways with him. “If you go to sleep now I promise I’ll take you on a date to the zoo !!” He said. You loved dates at the zoos, even if you felt bad for the animals, you were always going to love watching them play around and have fun. You nodded kissing Jake once again before he walked you to your room. “Atta girl go sleep sweets” he said pecking you once again before closing your door and leaving to his own room. That night, when you layed in bed, your heart was still racing from the crazy day you had had with jake. You couldn't help but smile as you replayed each moment in your mind.

The debutant ball came sooner than you expected, you woke up early and Jay drove you to the venue. The makeup artist arranged your makeup and hair before you decided it was finally time to put on your gown. You looked breathtaking in your white dress, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement swirling within you. Just then, there was a knock on the door. You opened it to find Jake standing there, dressed in his tailored suit that perfectly complemented your attire. He looked dashing, and the way his eyes lit up as they landed on you made your heart skip a beat.”Wow sweets…” he said, his jaw hung low enough that a mosquito could enter. "You look absolutely stunning." You blushed and grinned, feeling your nerves melt away. "Thank you, baby. You look amazing too. That suit was really made for you!” He held out his arm, offering it to you. "Shall we, my lady?" You chuckled and placed your hand on his arm. "We shall." As you entered the ballroom, you felt a rush of confidence and happiness. The night was filled with dancing, laughter, and shared glances that spoke volumes without a single word. And as the evening drew to a close, you found yourselves swaying to a slow song, lost in each other's presence. "Thank you for being my date tonight, Jake," you whispered, resting your head on his shoulder. "And you for asking me, sweets," he replied, his voice tender. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." He said as the music finally came to an end.

The night was almost over, only one part of it was left. The announcement of the winner of the debutant ball. As you and Jake stood on the stage, waiting for the results the announcer came up on stage with a paper in his hand. “Hi everybody, I’d like to thank you all for coming. We hoped you enjoyed the beautiful debutant tonight, they have been working hard for this competition! Unfortunately, the night is coming to an end with only one thing to announce… the winner of the night!!” He said as the crowd began to cheer. “ This years debutant winner is…. Y/N PARK !!!” You heard your mom yell out of excitement as Jake gasped. He pulled you into a hug before kissing you and pushing you to claim your price. You went forward a little shocked at the results and thanked everyone for the warm and inviting welcome they had given you. As the night came to an end, you didn’t forget to thank everyone that came your way and congratulate the other girls also.

After a few more hours of staying at the venue, it was finally time for all of you to head home. Your mom urged you to go with Jake, spend time with him before coming back home. Like what you’d usually do, Jake asked if you’d like to stop by an ice cream parlour and take a walk alongside the nights waves. You agreed taking his hand and making way to his car. Upon arriving at the parlor, the sweet scent of freshly made waffle cones filled the air. Jake held the door open for you,like the amazing gentle man he was. And the both of you stepped inside, greeted by a colorful display of ice cream flavors. You both picked out a flavour and decided to get one cup to maximize the couple affect. You were talking away in your big gown and suit while everyone came dressed normally as a familiar tune played on the speaker. Love like this by zayn began to play as you and Jake stared at each other. You both were huge fans of zayn, and this song, more than other related so much of how you both felt about each other. You enjoyed the moment with him before leaving the store, making your way to the beach.

You both strolled along the moonlit shoreline. The sound of waves crashing against the sand created a relaxing sound with your conversation. The beach was just an amazing place for getting your energy and peace back. You talked about the futur and what you’d hope to become later on. You hoped that Jake was apart of whatever you called your forever after. After spending hours together, you noticed the time and realized that it was getting late. You both made your way back to jakes car as he placed one of his arm on your thighs. “ you’re just beautiful sweets” Jake said out of no where surprising you. You giggled a little before answering him “and you look equally as handsome Jakey I’m so happy that I was able to get you all for myself. He smiled. “You know I’m all yours right princess?” He added before turning his attention to road and driving back to the summer house.

Eventually heeseung came around, coming to term that if you hadn’t picked him it was for a good reason. Your brother was surprised to hear you had a thing going on with Jake but he agreed to leave you two alone if you left yunjin and him alone (which you agreed too). You spent the next few weeks with Jake, never leaving his side. Whether it was a lazy afternoon spent by the pool or a cozy evening watching the sunset, every experience became a cherished memory.

As the season drew to a close, you found yourselves sitting on the porch, wrapped in blankets and gazing at the stars. Jake looked at you, his eyes sparking as he said "You know, this wasn’t the summer I expected but it was perfect sweets. You made it perfect, like you always did. I love you my princess" you gasped hearing him say those three last words before returning them. “I love You too Jakey, I always will. I would never want something different than this, then us baby.”

“Hey darling” he said smiling leaning against the door frame. “Hi…” you said going in and sitting on his bed. He followed shortly behind, closing the door and sitting right beside you. “So it toke you this long for you to come and see me huh” Heeseung said with a smirk. You chuckled as you turned yourself to face him “ I wanted to ask you...” you said. He urges you to continue while smiling and nodding at you. You knew that he knew what you were about to ask, but he wanted to hear YOU say it. “Would you maybe go to the deb ball with me…?” you said looking to see his reaction. He was smiling and laughing as he nodded his head, still a sweet smile on his face. “I'd love to y/n I've been waiting for this moment” he said pulling you into a hug. “You don't mind the fact that you'll have to dance with me right...?” you added. “Of course not darling I’d love to have a dance with you!” he exclaimed pulling you back into the hug. You let him engulf you with his hug as you put your head into his neck smelling his cologne. “It's mine..” you mumbled Into his neck. He just smiled laughing while saying “Well this bottle is almost over, I'm looking forward to the one you'll buy this year” he said playing with your hair, one hand still at your waist. “Love thank you so much for choosing me, I swear I won't let you down okay?” he said being the first to pull away this time.

That night, you stayed in his room cuddling over the sound of the waves. It was comforting and finally calming to realize that the one you've always liked since childhood was here for you and finally yours, the ending you always wished for. Heeseung was deep in sleep hugging your waist while his face was laying on your chest. You carefully grabbed your phone from the nightstand and texted yunjin.

You put your phone away relieved that that was over. Suddenly you heard your phone ring picked it up quickly and answered the person. “Yunjin Im sorry i really can’t talk right now” you said whispering. “Why girl cmon tell me all the juicy details!!!” She said yelling into the phone. “I’m sorry hee is sleeping on me right now… I can’t really move hehe, he’s holding me quite tightly” you said giggling a little before going back to patting his head. “OH MY GIRL WHAT THE HELL YOURE SLEEPING TOGETHER?? YOU SHOULD’VE TOLD ME IM LEAVING YOU TWO LOVEBIRDS ALONE” Yunjin said quickly cutting the call and leaving you and heeseung alone in the dimly lit room. Little did you know heeseung was smiling against your chest hearing you tell yunjin that you were sleeping with him.

The next morning you somehow found yourself being held by heeseung as your head now was placed on his chest. You looked up to see him staring at you already with heart eyes. “Good morning sweetheart, how’d you sleep” he asked kissing your forehead. You went back into his chest feeling shy whispering a gentle “good, best sleep I’ve never had”. He giggled hearing you before letting you know of todays plans. “You know deb ball is in 3 days… I was hoping we could go buy a suit for me to match your dress and then we can do all your favorite things, is that okay love ?” He asked still fixing your hair. You nodded against him as you both got up and went to his bathroom. You were glad that the toilet and shower were in different rooms since you spent atleast 20 minutes together just brushing your teeth and giggling together. You then went your separate ways to get dressed and groom yourself. You did your hair into a braid and did quick and simply makeup. While you were putting your socks on you heard a knock on your door “come in!” You yelled looked at the door. Heeseung came in fully dressed in street style. “You ready love?” He said putting out his hand for you to grab. You nodded and kissed his cheeks as you walked out your room. Before leaving, you decided to grab a quick cup of coffee to fully wake up. You and heeseung were lost in the flirting as Jake entered the kitchen. At first he gasped, seeing how heeseung kissed you and held you like you were more then friends but then he slowly realized.. you had picked heeseung instead of him.. “congrats bro” Jake said making you break the hug you and heeseung had held for the past few minutes. Heeseung went up to Jake accepting his handshake while awkwardly staring at him. “Don’t break her heart hee or I’ll come for you” Jake said whispering into heeseungs ear. You continued brewing your coffee ignoring Jake as you felt bad that he was expecting you to chose him. You were lost in your thoughts as he walked up to you. “So what’s todays plan sweets” he said kind of close to you, just enough to take in your scent. “Oh just shopping with heeseung for the debs…” you said walked away from him and going to heeseung. “Oh have fun sweets, take care of her hee” Jake said before going into his room. Heeseung had noticed your mood dropped when Jake walked in. He knew that you were hesitating between him and Jake, he immediately knew that you felt bad for pushing Jake away when he was equally as good as heeseung, maybe even better. Heeseung pulled you Into a hug. You hugged him back taking the time to finally ease up.

You got into his car and noticed the pack of cigarettes laying on his dashboard. Your face scrunched up in disgust smelling the pack of cigs and the lighter. Heeseung glanced at you before taking the box and throwing it into the trash outside. “I’m sorry love… I just was having a hard time with basketball and suddenly started smoking.. I know how much you hate it but I promise I’ll stop.” You nodded and smiled at him. “Thank you heeseung i really appreciate it” you said kissing his cheek. You both went around shopping for his suit and ate dinner at his favorite restaurant before coming back home giggling from the intense day you had. While exiting heeseung’s car he pulled you into a kiss right on the trunk of his car. You heard grocery bags fall as you looked at the noise disturbing you two. Jay was right there staring at the way heeseung placed you on his trunk. The scene felt like out of a movie to jay, a good highschool romance where the sweet girl fell for a gangster guy . He approached heeseung in full force before letting him know that if he ever decided to hurt you or break your heart, you won’t be the only one left hurt. Heeseung would be equally as injured as you were. You all laughed it out before entering the house. Another day ended in a perfect way!

The next day, you and heeseung trained the whole day for the couples dance you’d have to do tomorrow. Heeseung loved competitions and he loved winning them even more. He knew that you both could easily pull off being the winner of the ball. He didn’t want to end his night until he saw you being crowned miss debutant. Even if it was tiring and somehow exciting. You both went to sleep with sore feets and the dream of winning the ball.

The big day finally approached. It was finally the day of the debutant ball where heeseung accompanied you as a date. In the morning, you both got breakfast together, going over some steps and checking if you had everything ready (including jays Porsche since it looked so nice and fancy). Your mom had volunteered to drop you off to the venue since the competition had hired professional artists for makeup and hair (and because heeseung could not see you until the judge announced your presence) . You got there early before picking out what style you wanted to go with. After a couple minutes of hesitating you went ahead with a simple makeup and a hairstyle that required a Pearl headband. When you were finally done with your hair and makeup, your artist helped you put on your dress before doing final adjustments. You were a little uncomfortable, like heeseung had told you a month ago, this wasn’t really your thing. You preferred shying away from the spotlight and just being comfortable with yourself. You were proud of yourself for finally going out your comfort zone and doing something you’d never think of doing.

The girls were slowly being presented out as you started shaking in fear. What if you tripped ? What if something bad happened? What if heeseung forgot he needed to be here at 6?? Thoughts filled your head as you got closer and closer to the door. You toke a deep breath before the announcers named you. “We welcome Park Y/N on the stage as a debutant of the 2023 challenge!!” You walked onto the stage as heeseung walked right beside you as your date. He gasped a little before whispering “you look absolutely astonishing love”. You smiled at him focusing your attention back to your family cheering loudly for you. Heeseung handed you a bouquet of flowers before holding your arm the rest of the way. When you reached the front, you did a u-turn, sitting down at the designated area for the debs and their date. You sat and watched the performances of the couple cheering excitingly seeing what they had come up with.

When it was finally yours and heeseung turn, you looked at him taking a deep breath together as the song started playing. Somehow this song seemed perfect for you two. Strawberries and cigarettes by Troye Sivan. A couple years back, when you were younger heeseung had introduced you to this song. You giggled at first listening to the sweet yet cringe lyrics, but you found yourself listening to it more and more. You felt an emotional connection to this song, so when you had to pick a song to dance too, you easily picked strawberries and cigarette. To add, Heeseung was a great dancer, he executed the dance perfectly, his moves hitting the beat every single time. When the performance ended he got down on one knee grabbing your hand and leaving a kiss. The night went on, watching performances, slow dancing and eating the food the place provided. After a few hours of enjoying the Party, it was finally time to announce the winner of the debutant ball. For some reason, heeseung looked way more stressed than you, so you grabbed his hand rubbing gentle circles on it before kissing him on the lips. “Well we’d like to start off by saying thank you to all the debutant and their dates for working so hard on tonight! It was a tight contest and we decided very hard to pick the winner! Drumroll please” the judge said as everyone started hitting the table as drumroll “the winner of the deb ball is beautiful Y/N Park and her handsome date Heeseung!!! Please come up on stage and claim your prices!” The judge exclaimed as you and Heeseung looked shocked. You stayed seated for a couple seconds before your mom told you to get up and get the prize you worked so hard on. You grabbed the prize with heeseung thanked the judge for the amazing commentary on your performance and thanked the other debutants for their hard work. The night ended on sweet note as you made your way home to the comfort of heeseung’s bed .

“Heeseung… thank you so much I own it to you” you said hugging him. “Oh y/n, my love… it’s all you baby. This is all your hard work love. I only accompanied you to success angel. You’re a masterpiece on stage. I was definitely wrong” he laughed as you looked at him confused. “Love I was so wrong these type of competitions are definitely your thing! You shined tonight sweetheart, you were glowing…. I was worried that if I kissed you I wouldn’t have been able to stop” he said as you held you. “Then don’t stop” you said before pulling him into a kiss…

Your relationship unfolded beautifully after that night, you both , grew and healed from past mistakes. Heeseung kept his promise of growing and building himself into a better person for you. Jake worked hard on himself to wish you two both a happy and healthy relationship. You and heeseung were so thankful that Jake was so caring and immediately stepped away when he realized how serious you both were. With heeseung renewed passion for basketball, he not only found success but also regained his sense of purpose on the field. He trained harder the ever aiming to make you proud every game he ever played. Jay finally accepted that Heeseung was never going to harm you or your relationship in a negative way. The air carried the sweet scent of your new relationship. And throughout the years you spent with heeseung, it only sweetened…

It’s finally time. The moment you’ve been waiting for since the start of 2023. It is finally time to go to the summer house and spend time with Heeseung and Jake. You waited (im)patiently for school to end. You didn’t think your summer was so extravagant, you just went to the summer house your mother had bought with her best friends and spent time with her kids. It was only Heeseung, Jake, Jay and You. Even if it was a small vacation and maybe annoying to some, you enjoyed spending time away from home in this so-called magic beach house. But this summer was different. You had completely changed, thanks to Yunjin, you had a whole glow up!! Finally, the brothers might steal a glance… or two! maybe even give you a chance.

“make sure to call me babe! Don’t wear lame outfits and talk lots to hee!! I love you babe mwah” Yunjin kissed your head as you got into the car with your brother, Jay, and your mom. “ Ok yunjin that’s enough let me nasty sister go!” Jay said as you rolled your eyes. “Bye yunjiniee, I’ll miss you! Promise me you’ll come to visit a day or two!!” you said making pouty eyes at her “Of course, I will bestie!” she said waving to you one last time before walking to the bus station.

“Okay let’s start this car… GET YOUR DIRTY feet OFF MY PORSCHES DASHBOARD OMG” Jay yelled at you “Oh come on Jay.. are you sure it isn’t just your car that’s dirty” you said as he rolled his eyes and turned on the radio. Oasis music started blasting out the radio as you just closed your eyes to relax. The road to the beach house was quite long, around 5-6 hours. Usually your mom would drive the whole way while you and your brother slept in the back, but jay had gotten his licence this summer so he volunteered to help your mother drive (even if he drove the whole way there while she rested in the back, it was like he was paying her back for the last 20 years she spent driving you both there. Jay was 21, and you were 20. Strangely enough he made it seem like you were thousand years younger than him. He never let you drink nor drive (even if you had recently gotten your license but it seemed that no one trusted you to drive a whole 5-6 hours). You wouldn’t say he’s overprotective, just in denial that his baby sister was growing up so fast.

You hadn’t even noticed when the car had stopped at the corner shop, sleeping almost the whole way there. You were slowly awakened by your brother's voice. “Okay loser go grab some snacks for yourself, I’m filling up the gas” Jay slapped your shoulder playfully as you arranged your hair. “Oh y/n I’m coming with you, I want to stock up on a few treats, you know how bad the boy's mother's taste is in snacks! ” your mom said as she laughed at her friend's horrible choices in late-night snacks. You got into the store and grabbed a pack of Hot Cheetos and a Dr.Pepper for the ride. “Hey” the cashier told you, you were thrown aback. Boys at school never look at you, Yunjins is the one they look at… “Hi..” you smiled tucking your hair behind your ear. “Are you new around here ?” You shook your head “Oh well there’s a bonfire tonight if you want to come” he said, scanning your items “Oh yeah sure I’ll think about it! “You said “what are you youngsters talking about?” your mother suddenly came in handing the man her credit card. “Oh nothing I’ll go wait in the car Mom” you said a little awkwardly, grabbing your snacks and leaving.

You got back into the car and waited for your mom to bring back the so called “snacks”. Since this stop meant you were only an hour away from the beach house you toke this opportunity to redo your makeup a little bit. You applied a little bit of blush, fixed your base and applied a little bit of gloss as Jay looked at you in disgust. “what are you doing..? aye you look good tho” he said looking at you. You rolled your eyes as your mom finally came back. “Okay let’s continue the road jay” your mother said. Jay started the car again and continued driving the last hour of the trip.

When you had finally arrived, Jay rushed out of the car to go hug Heeseung and Jake(not before carefully opening and closing the door to his precious porsche). Your mother left right after Jay, running to her best friend and hugging her. You stayed in the car a little while Jay talked to the brothers…. You often felt left out between them. They’d always exclude you from their hangouts or sleepover because you were a girl and they were boys. They’d call you over sometimes to tell you horror stories, but only because you had such a good reaction to them... It toke a few years for you to accept the fact that they’re different from you, but you eventually got over it. You checked yourself one more time in the car mirror before stepping out. You could see Jake do a double take when he saw you and Heeseungs jaw was dropped. You laughed it off going to hug Jake as he picked you up from the floor and spun you around “You look so beautiful sweets” he said taking in the smell of your shampoo “Thanks jaeyun” you said smiling at him before walking towards Heeseung. He somewhat looked more attractive, he had dyed his hair a light brown colour. “Hey, you changed...a lot… I liked you better with your glasses” Heeseung said hugging you “Well I like myself without them so..” you said pulling away from his hug. He also seemed colder.. like he was avoiding talking to you.

“Y/NIEEEE OMG YOUVE GROWN SO MUCH YOU ARE GORGEOUS LOVE” the boy's mother said as you hugged her “Thank you so much!” you said not wanting to let go. She always thought of you like her daughter she never had. She wished she had a girl, instead, she ended up with two sons… so she always liked you a little more than she’d like to mention. She loved spending time with you during the 2 months she was free, whether that was buying you girly stuff, bringing you dress shopping or making you wear her clothes from the 90s! After the warm welcome the family had given you, you went into the house and had your special first summer night dinner. Your mom wasn’t such a big cook but the boy's mom loved making a huge feast to share when the first night you all gathered together. You all sat down, in the seats you’d usually it at. Your mom and the boy's mom were at the end of the table while you sat beside Jay, facing both Jake and Heeseung. “Y/n you are just gorgeous… you should participate in the debutant ball this summer!” The boy's mother said looking at you “Oh come on Mom that's so not her thing, she hates girly stuff!” Jake said laughing at you. You glared at him before telling their mom “I’ll think about it!”. She smiled back and started rambling about how you could go dress shopping together and how she could help with your makeup and hair. “Don’t let her force you into anything y/n,” Heeseung said breaking his silence and staring at you. Somehow the stare he gave you made you want to prove him wrong. He was right, the whole debutant wasn’t your thing, putting on dresses, bring a date… it wasn’t your style.. so you don’t know what came over you when you told her “I’ll do it!”. Your mother looked at you shocked as Jay chuckled… You continued talking as the late night slowly approached.

The boys told the grow-ups they were going out to the beach where the bonfire had been held. Since they were legal adults, nothing would've stopped them. No matter if it was a no from your mom or their mom. They were going, no questions asked. They were always present for a night full of hookups and alcohol. Usually, your mom, the boy's mother and you would watch the notebook and cry out all the tears possible, but this year you wanted to prove to Heeseung and Jake that you had finally grown up. You weren’t the little girl they’d tease every summer. So you excused yourself from the movie mentioning that you weren’t feeling good and got secretly got ready in your room. You remembered how the boy's mother looked at you quite sadly but she decided to let you rest since “you weren’t feeling well”. You felt quite bad lying to them since this was a tradition for you women… you would always binge-eat snacks while watching the notebook. It tokes you a while to exit the house since the living room was in the plain site of the main entrance but after around 10 minutes you had finally escaped.

You walked towards the beach and when you finally made it your heart skipped a beat. There was a bunch of alcohol and a bunch of teens just kissing, making out and all. It seemed like something yunjin would’ve told you about. You felt like her for once, you felt included in what teenagers these days did. “Hey you came!” The same guy from the corner shop said pulling you into a side hug. From afar Jake spotted you, slowly running towards you. “Aye y/n I didn’t know you’d come…” he said checking you out. “Yeah it was boring at home so…” you said awkwardly rubbing your arm. All the sudden the dude from the corner store started leaning in but Jake pushed him away. “Bro! Chill she’s a minor… the heck is wrong with you” jake said yelling at the poor dude. The dude looked at you a little shocked before scoffing and walking away.“ Jake it’s fine I can defend myself! Oh my god.” You said walking away. It seemed like jake still saw you as a little kid. You sat down a little further away letting your feets play in the sand.

All of a sudden you felt a presence next to you “Can I offer you a beer?” You looked up and saw this beautiful boy you’d never seen before. “Oh I don’t drink but thank you,” you said. “I’m hoon, sunghoon, call me whatever you want” he said sitting down next to you and sipping the cold beer he had in his hands. “Oh, I’m y/n! Call me whatever you want ?” You said laughing a little teasingly as he followed along with your teasing. “I’ve never seen you before,” he said looking straight ahead at the beach “Oh well usually my brother and his friends don’t let me come here you know… I kind of snuck in here” you said pouting towards Jay, heeseung and Jake. “No way! Your brother is Jay?? That’s wild! He’s got a crazy reputation around here” He said laughing. You giggled a little looking at him but deep inside you were wondering what reputation Jay had here since he was only here a couple of months a year…. “COPS COPS ARE HERE RUN” Suddenly everyone started running away. Sunghoon toke your hand and pulled you away from the “crime” scene. It felt like a movie. You were running with a boy, at night, while the soft breeze blew into your hair. When you finally got far enough, sunghoon let go of your hands while gasping for air. “That was so close!” He said laughing then looking up. “well we are right next to the diner… could I interest you in a date?” He said pointing towards the diner and then putting his hand out for you to grab ” You checked the time before nodding and taking his hand.

Usually, you wouldn’t have gone on a date with the first guy you’d seen. But you were tired of Jake and Heeseung seeing you as a child. You talked the night away with sunghoon. He was studying to become a marine biologist, he loved whales and the sea. You found that that was quite wholesome. Usually, the guys you’d talk to would hate talking about animals but sunghoon was different. You saw stars in his eyes when he talked about the blue whale he spotted during a trip at sea. He was clearly in love with what he was studying, his passion made him look so cool.

After your date had ended( due to the diner closing), he toke you home in his car. Arriving at the door, you knocked having forgotten your keys inside your room. Your mom opened the door a little shocked at seeing you outside… “Y/n what are you doing outside? I thought you were feeling sick” she said putting her hands on her hips. “I’m sorry Mom I just wanted to go the beach and I met him!” You said pointing at sunghoon. Sunghoon gave her a little smile and before your mom could yell at you for running out of the house and meeting a random guy, the boys mother interrupted , “Oh hey! Come in love! I just made dinner please come eat with us” she said to sunghoon as he smiled and thanked her. She looked at you a little disappointed since a couple of hours ago you mentioned you were not feeling well but she was happy that you finally were meeting new people in the town. The boys all looked at him weirdly as in “What in the hell is this random guy doing here” but they sat down without any complaints. “So what’s your name?” Jake asked all of a sudden. Sunghoon cleared his throat before saying “hoon sunghoon” smiling at Jake. “Your name is hoon sunghoon??” He started laughing as you kicked his feet under the table “Oh no it’s just sunghoon! But you can call me Hoon for short” He said not letting Jake's teasing affect him. Heeseung just looked at him rolling his eyes. You grabbed sunghoon hand before giving him a reassuring squeeze and telling him not to bother and to keep eating.

“So Heeseung! How’s basketball going?” Your mother asked to break the awkward vibe that was set by Jake. “I quit.” He said, not saying nor adding anything to his words. “Oh, I thought you were serious about basketball! But that’s fine! What about you Jake? How’s life?” She added “Well I have a job as a lifeguard… that’s about it…” he said playing with his food. “Oh, are you working at the court too?” Sunghoon suddenly said. “Yeah well y/n here’s going to be a debutant so I just wanted to see her more often,” Jake said winking at you. “Oh, you’re a debutant! That’s wonderful, I know you’ll love it! My sister was a deb…” sunghoon added before clearing his throat. You smiled at him while an awkward silence crowded the room. “Oh my son, dear what's happening with you Jay,” your moms friend said, picking interest in Jay. “Okay don’t be shocked! I got accepted into Princeton, you are looking at a future mechanical engineer!!” He said using his hands as a megaphone. Everyone started clapping for him as he said that. She gasped hearing the news before getting up to hug the boy. Jay had always been great at bringing up the mood of the room. You had always been jealous that he was so extroverted…

When dinner came to an end, Sunghoon thanked both moms for welcoming him so warmly and sending him home with a full belly. At your turn, you sent sunghoon away with a kiss on his cheek as he gave you a hug and his number. “I’ll see you tomorrow y/n,” he said pulling away and waving goodbye. “What’s with you going around with random guys,” Jake said right as the door shut close “What do you mean Jake? I’m not a baby I can hang out with whoever I want” you said pushing past him and going into your room. You weren’t sure why but he had been so annoying ever since you had gotten here. He kept picking on you and taking care of you more than he ever did. This isn’t the attention you wanted! You felt frustrated and wanted to deal with this anger the only way you knew…you threw on a swimsuit and made your way to the pool.

You placed your towel down by the pool as you jumped in, as a kid you’d love to pretend you’d be at the Olympics seeing how fast you could reach from one end to another. When you came up for air you saw Heeseung dipping his feet… “Hey…” you said looking at him. He just looked at you as he toke another smoke in. “I didn’t know you smoked…?” You added looking at him puffing in and out. “Yeah calms the nerves” he said taking yet another puff. “You know you’ll grow addicted… I recommend you stop before it kills your brain” you laughed. “Trying to get off but it’s none of your business love.” He said before getting up and walking away. You stayed up for a while before shaking your head and swimming for another hour or two.

The next few days you didn’t do much, you’d go for swims, talk to Jay (more like fights) and go on dates with sunghoon. Heeseung hadn’t spoken to you since the night at the pool and Jake just sometimes commented on things you’d do. This summer was different. Not in a good way…. You felt so ignored, even if you’d try to talk nicely to Jake it would always result In him babying you. And for some reason, your talks with Heeseung only ended up being two to three words exchanged before he gets bored and takes another puff… summer was usually what you’d look the most forward to…

In reality, summer would only start when one week would pass. The food trucks would start lining up, night hangouts become frequent and most importantly the carnival. The carnival would come in town lasting for a few weeks. You always had memories of Jay, the brothers and you going there for fun.. even if you were a scaredy cat and hated the rides, the little games and the food was to die for. and when the day finally approached were the carnival was in town you were torn, you didn’t know if you should go with the brothers or with sunghoon. You told yourself you’d go with whoever asked you first… no matter how long it toke. Just like he was reading your mind you heard a knock on your bedroom door. “Hey y/nie it’s hee… we are going to the carnival in an hour get ready. Quick.” He said before walking away. You kinda wished he entered and told you.. he felt so distant this summer like he was aware of your crush on him. You brushed off your thoughts and got up on the bed. You hugged Mr. Snuggles (the plush heeseung had won you as a kid) and went towards your bathroom. You had just enough time to redo your makeup and try to find a new outfit.

While you were making your way to the car you received a call from someone… “hey yunjin!! What’s up girl” you asked. “Omg, y/n you won’t believe it! I’m 2 hours early… do you mind asking the brothers to pick me up?” She asked a little shy since she arrived earlier than you both expected. You let out a laugh before patting jakes shoulder “Hey Jae… Umh yunjin is here early can we go pick her up before we go to the fair?” You asked him giving him puppy eyes. “Yeah sure, hee and Jay will join us later they’re stopping by jungwons house for a drink” You nodded getting into jakes Jeep. “So Yunjin…” he added. “Yeah hopefully it’s not weird since y’all hooked up last year..” you said laughing a little uncomfortably. “Oh, whatever she’s probably not over me yet” he said rolling his eyes playfully before focusing on the road again. Jake always thought everyone loved him enough to make out with him(not like he’d skip the opportunities, line up everyone! Jake’s giving out free kisses no matter who you are! “Whatever I’m sure she stills calls you James..” you said looking out the window as you arrived at the bus terminal. “Y/NNNN BABE I MISSED YOU SO MUCH” Yunjin said running to you with her suitcase… “see you’ve finally taken my clothing advice! You look gorg girl!” She added. “Thanks yunjin you look equally as stunning… those shorts are killer on you” you said pulling away from her hug “Hey James see you haven’t changed,” she said looking at Jake “My names Jak-“ “yeah yeah whatever let’s get going” she said dismissing and getting in the back seat of the car.

The ride to the amusement was quiet until Jake started talking about sunghoon and your frequent dates with him. “So how’s it going with sunghoon is he treating you nice” he asked keeping his eyes focused on the road. “Wait y/n who's sunghoon? You’ve never told me about him!!” Yunjin said suddenly grabbing your and Jake's seat. “Oh, he’s just this guy I met on the beach… you know during the bonfire ?… We've been going out on dates for the past few weeks” you said turning yourself to face her instead of the road. She nodded laughing a little before she said “What about hee-“You quickly toke your hand to cover her mouth. Jake looked back confused about why she stopped talking “Oh you have a thing for my brother sweets ?” He says parking near the entrance of the fair. “No Jake it’s not like that! I just…” you started “No, no need to defend yourself y/n, I know he’s better than me but he’ll only break your heart.” Jake said, unbuckling his belt and getting out of the car. Yunjin started apologizing for bringing up Heeseung when his brother was in the car but you only smiled at her letting her know it wasn’t such a big deal. All of a sudden, your car door opens as Jake holds out his hand, waiting for you to take it. “Come on sweets we got to get going the others are already inside” he said pulling you out of the car.

You got out, at the same time as Yunjin did, the three of you walking into the fair. Jake had his hands wrapped around your shoulders and Yunjin walked beside you. When you finally saw Jay and Heeseung, you ran up to Jay, hugging him. “What’s up sis” he said hugging you back, it wasn’t new that you were quite clingy. Even if it’s just Jay and most of the time you argue, nothing could help you forget your problems as much as jays bear hugs. You pulled away before waving at Heeseung. “Hey hee…” you said looking at him. “This is Yunjin, my friend!” You introduced her to Heeseung in case he forgot and he nodded. Just like before he wasn't answering you.. All of a sudden Jay pulled Yunjin away, talking to her as you were left with Heeseung and Jake. The devil's curse you said. “So wanna ride the monster ?” Heeseung said laughing at your face when your scrunched it in fear. “Oh cmon hee you know our sweetie bear is afraid of rides” Jake said ruffling your hair. “No, I’m not! Let’s ride that mother fucker let’s go!!!” You said running to the line. The boys (and Yunjin) shortly followed behind getting into the line. It wasn’t as long as the other rides since this one was known as the “devil's ride” It went by fast, had many loops and even brought you upside down. Jake knew deep down you were scared of this ride. A few years back the boys dared you to ride it… right after the ride ended you ended up puking all over Jake's sweatshirt and his mom had to drive you all back home, a night ended shortly. As your turn slowly approached you started to worry. Heeseung glanced at you before walking towards you. “You don’t need to ride this one love… you know you can always back out.” He said rubbing your back and comforting you. You sighed before turning around and hugging him. “I’m kind of tired of being seen as a scaredy cat hee… you guys only see me as a child.. it frustrates me.” You say looking up at him with doe eyes.

He sighed at the sight, hugging you back and your head nuzzled further into his. “Hey babes look at me.” He said making you pull away from his neck. He called Jake over letting him know how you were feeling. Jake was always a sensible guy, when he saw how heartbroken you looked, he felt bad. He hadn’t even realized how much he has been hurting you by just simply teasing you. He apologized to you while you stayed in heeseungs arms and walked towards Jay and Yunjin. Those two were in the middle of a conversation when suddenly Jake broke their flow. “Hey guys… y/n isn’t feeling too good right now, I think we will need to sit this out!” He said as he looked a little apologetic to your friend and your brother. You walked to them, a pout visible on your face. “You two should ride this though! I know you’ll love it:) We will be cheering for you!” You said rubbing Yunjin’s back and throwing her a wink.

You, Jake and Heeseung decided to sit down on a bench near the ride watching Jay and Yunjin getting belted in. You wondered how long it’ll take for them to come back, realizing this might have been the worst decision they made. The silence between you and the brother was starting to eat you alive until you looked forward and noticed Yunjin and Jay walking back lifelessly. “That was hell.” Yunjin said sitting down on your lap. Jay just smiled at her and sat down beside Jake. “Omg, where is the picture!!!” You asked, suddenly remembering that the ride takes a picture of you during one of the falls. Yunjin shifted uncomfortably before saying. “ oh girl I don’t think you need to see it…” she laughed putting the photo away. You eyed Jake as he ripped it out of Yunjin's hands and handed it to you. Yunjin gasped as she waited for your reaction to the picture… “Oh…” you said looking at the photo.

“What is it,” heeseung said grabbing the photo. His jaw dropped and he looked at Jay. “I’m so so sorry babe… I didn’t mean-“You shut Yunjin up by squealing. “You should’ve told me you and Jay were a thing!!! Omg, you are so adorable.” You said hugging Yunjin as she let out the breath of air she didn’t know she was holding. You looked up at Jay smiling as you told him “Don’t you dare hurt her or I will kill you!!” You told him. Jake and Heeseung laughed at your reaction as you all continued talking about the sudden news. “Sweets, remember when we used to have competitions here…?” Jake suddenly brought up giving you a mischievous glance. “Oh, it’s on Jake.” You said staring back.

You separated the teams into two, You, Yunjin and Jake vs Heeseung and Jay. Usually, it was you and Jay vs the brothers but since yunjin was here you made sure that she’d know the rules before playing. It first started with laser tag. The game was tough until you shot Jay using your laser and they lost. The next one was bowling, their team won since they had the upper hand, and both Heeseung and Jay were phenomenal at bowling! (Not fair!) The next was rock climbing. Jake tried climbing without a security harness when a familiar voice came running in. “You can't do this without a harness!!!” A voice yelled at you as you were met with sunghoons familiar face. When he noticed it was just you and your friends, he smiled walking towards you. “Hey, y/n! What are you doing here” he asked all smiley. “Doing a challenge! The Captain of the loser team has to ride the monster!” You said excitingly. “Oohhh can I join? I see your 3vs2 that's not fair is it?” He said pointing between both of you. You simply nodded as he joined the other team, completely forgetting about his job. The game went on as you won and the other team lost, playing more and more games until you were both tied. “Okay, last game!! Drumroll please!!!!” Jay said using his hands as a megaphone again “BASKETBALL” he said as Heeseung cheered. He seemed happy for once. It was you versus him, clearly he had the upper hand since he was on the basketball team for more than 8 years. Watching him play you wondered why he has so suddenly quit being a player. He was amazing at it. While you were unfocused he toke that opportunity to score 6 baskets as his total was 160 points. You looked at your screen,80 points behind as you began to start throwing the balls more furiously. Suddenly, Jay and sunghoon started cheering and you realized you had lost. You had completely lost focus and now, you would have to ride the monster.

Jake laughed at your antics to escape the punishment but a promise was a promise. The Captain of the loser team HAD to ride the monster. You mustered up your courage walking towards the line of the ride. Heeseung ran behind you as he stood right beside you. “I’m not letting you do this alone okay? I’m here for you” he said grabbing your hand and squeezing it. When you arrived at the front of the line, there was no going back. You sat down beside Heeseung as he held your hand and urged you to close your eyes. “Think about me okay? I’m right here if you need anything. I’ll always be here for you okay?” He said as you closed your eyes. Heeseung always knew when to step in and when you needed help. You were glad he was riding this with you, even if he had won fair and square. You squeezed his hand tighter as the ride started. It lasted for a good 1-2 minutes as you finally made it back to the ground. Your legs were a little wobbly as Heeseung helped you get out of the ride. The worker handed you your photo as you both walked back to the group. “How do you feel y/n!!!” Jake said cheering that you finally went on the ride. “It’s okay, it’s good. He was there so I feel better” you said putting away the photo. The night started to get dark as you finally went back home. You showered first and changed into comfy clothes before jumping into your bed. When you were about to turn the lights off, you heard a knock at your door. You told the person to come in as you were faced with both Heeseung and Jake. “Hey sweets” Jake said sitting down on your bed as Heeseung did the same “Just wanted to apologize uknow, we’ve been rude to you and… we don’t want to lose you. Sorry I teased you so many times sweets” he said playing anxiously with the soft comforter on your bed. You smiled at him as you shook your head “It’s okay jakey, I was just overreacting” you said smiling again. Heeseung looked at you before saying “We want you to be comfortable with us princess, not uncomfortable… please let us know if anything is wrong okay? We will be there for you any time you need us” he said rubbing your head. “Now go to sleep it’s getting late. He told you before the closed your light and walked away. They left you yearning for more. Sometimes you just wished they would muster up the courage and maybe act more affectionately with you. The next month passed by fast, and the deb ball was slowly approaching. You still haven’t had a date and the boy's mom was already taking you shopping for a beautiful white dress. You weren’t much on the girly side but you could easily appreciate a beautiful dress. She made you try on many dresses until you found the one you liked. It was quite pricey and your mom refused to let her friend splurge on you but she insisted. She said kept saying how the dress was made for you and how it looked so wonderful with your skin tone. Your mom rolled her eyes as her friend swiped her card. It was a girl's day out. You spent the entire day shopping for clothes, accessories, makeup and everything you wished for. Before heading home you decided to stop at the famous gelato store that you’d always go to. You went with the flavour you always got, Lemon and the three of you sat down near the car. “Soo my beautiful y/n have you asked anyone out yet?” The boy's mom asked you as she sent a wink your way. You laughed at her before telling her the truth. “I’m not sure Auntie... I don’t know if I should ask sunghoon or…” you hesitated looking up into her eyes “One of my boys? It’s okay sweetie I know” she said rubbing your hand comfortingly. Your mom laughed as the air became quite tense. “Whatever you say I’m sure the boys would love to bring you okay? Don’t stress your pretty mind off of it” she said smiling. You all finzihed your cups and went back home to find that the boys had invited some friends over. It was Heeseung, Jay, Jake,Sunghoon, Jungwon, Sunoo and Niki. They were talking about their plans for the next week as sunghoon sighed loudly. You hid behind the wall trying to eavesdrop. “I don’t think y/n likes me,” Sunghoon said as you felt your heart break from his expression. “What do you mean bro?” Jake said patting Hoon's back. “We are one week away from the debutant party and she still hasn’t asked me to be her date!” He added. Heeseung scoffed at Sunghoons comment as he left the room to go grab another beer. You ran upstairs trying to keep yourself undercover.

You felt bad that sunghoon thought you had feeling for him.. but to be honest, you don’t know if you could like another guy that wasn’t heeseung… or even Jake! Those two were your endgame and picking someone else was just off the list. That day, you went to sleep with a heavy heart thinking of how you could let down sunghoon slowly. The next day you woke up quite early texting sunghoon “We need to talk” Obviously he was quite stressed reading your message as he agreed to meet you up at the beach. You both walked and talked for a few minutes before he brought it up again “So what did you want to talk about” he said not glancing in your direction. You looked at him taking his hands into your “hoon… I’m sorry.” You said looking into his eyes for an emotion “For what?” He said looking at you confusingly. “I’m so sorry hoon because I don’t think I can bring you to the debs ball… I like you hoon I do bu-“ he cut you off “I know y/n I know you love one of the brothers…” he said smiling a little painfully as tears welded his eyes. Your heart broke as you stared at him. “Go y/n tell him please, just promise you won’t push me away okay?…” he said bringing your hands up to his lips before kissing them. You shook your head tears filling your eyes too as he let go of your hands. “Go y/n, ask him before it’s too late…” he said before smiling. You hugged him once more before walking away, turning back to see him waving at you with tears in his eyes.

Arriving back at the beach house you fixed yourself slightly, trying to cover up your red eyes and you made your way to the door. Right across the hall from your room was his room… you felt conflicted about if you should just ask your brother to bring you but you knew better than bringing your blood as a date. You stood right in front of the white door as you knocked on it. The door opened seeing him smiling at you, like he had been waiting for you to show up.

Colours. Everything revolves around colours. The sun is yellow, the grass is green and the sky is blue. From dark red to bright blue, colours consist of our everyday life. But it’s hard to fill in the pages when the outline is the same shade as the pens. Jake swore he tried. But he was colorblind, unable to distinguish between different hues. Even when he tried to fill in the pages with different shades, he would often mistake one colour for another. When he picked up a red pencil and called it green when he didn’t see what everyone else saw. “Hey Jake can you pass me the yellow pen,” his friend asked. Jake didn’t see yellow, he saw different shades of gray.

The world felt dull to him, almost monochromatic. Gray was the only colour he could see, which made everything look even more depressing. There was still warmth in gray. But it’s saddening. When you open your eyes to a dark room, it looks ten times darker. You can’t see the beauty of colours. But he wasn’t always colour-blind. Both his parents were artists and he loved painting with them. The last Color he had seen was red. When he got so angry at his mom he did notice the truck rushing in their direction. Fortunately, he survived, but his mother didn’t...His karma? Losing sense is colours. His dad had left him early on, and now, he was all alone. He couldn’t tell between the sun and the sky anymore. Everything was just gray. He refused to let anyone know. It was embarrassing enough to be known as an orphan.

When you showed up in his life years ago, you were an embarrassing teen. You moved to a new school, in a foreign country you had never seen. You were just erasing the board as people started laughing. “Look at her pants!”. Great what an amazing day to wear white. Everyone just laughed at you as you locked eyes with Jake. He just stared at your pants and he said “A new shade of red”… What the actual hell? You ran out of the class, tears flowing. He followed shortly behind, offering his jacket to cover the stain. “Hey I’m sorry for what happened back there… I just love painting and that’s the first time I saw this shade of red,” he said rubbing the back of his nape. You looked at him again, noticing his plump lips, blonde hair, and beautiful eyes. He had you captivated. “Oh no worries” you mentioned before walking away.

Well, now you kept seeing him everywhere. Posters of his soccer games, of course, he had to be the main player. Damn him and his sexy face. You’d go to his every match. Staring at him as he ran across the field. And oh, of course, he had to be part of the violin team. Just like a pied piper, charming you with his instruments. But you were just a watcher, you’d never been close to him. Just far admirer. That was until the last year of school. Your school had organized a dance party for couples. Little did you know, Jake was making a painting of you with the prettiest Colors to ask you out. But of course, he hadn’t finished in time. He was late and Jay had already asked you out, you agreed. If you couldn’t get Jake maybe his friend was good enough. The whole night you wished Jake’s hands were holding you instead of Jay's. You didn’t enjoy the night and went home. Crying in the rain, in a bright purple dress.

Jake was stopping by the convenience store when he noticed you crying on the street. Where was Jay? And how dare he let you leave this way. He came up to you and brought you home. The rain wasn’t stopping anytime soon so you invited him into your room. “Sorry, it's messy..” You mentioned, sniffling while picking out some clothes for him. “ These are my brothers.. hopefully they’ll fit,” you said staring into his eyes as you passed him a sweatpants and a white shirt. He nodded while you continued your phrase “I'll go change in the bathroom, you can stay here..” He had already finished changing and you were still in the bathroom. He decided to look around when he spotted a picture of you and your friends back in the US. While grabbing the photo, he accidentally dropped the picture you had beside... It fell to the floor while he looked up the see the huge letters written in red. You walked into the room and screamed. “WHAT HAPPENED OMG” You quickly used your body to cover up the words on the wall... “Jake and Y/N forever together… interesting” he moved you aside as he kept staring at the wall.

“You know I was going to ask you to prom” he stared into your eyes “but that bastard Jay beat me to it” You were shocked. “ I wanted to paint the picture of you in the flower field, but I was missing my carnation pink paint… and by the time I bought it Jay had already asked you.” He told you holding your hands “I like you” you blurted out “Well me too..” he confessed. And that’s when your journey had begun. He’d take you out on picnic dates, showing you the prettiest Colors he had ever seen. He took you to see his mom, of course, he liked painting because of her… their house was full of Colors and painting supplies. You were together for years, an inseparable couple. That was until your family fell into debt, and you had to go back to America to help out your dad with the family business. Lots of tears and sadness were shared. Jake knew he had to put on a smile on his face if it meant he could see you happy. And so he did. You left.

Years later you found yourself back in Korea. You had missed your childhood here, with Jake. Your sister begged you to let go of him and focus on work. After all, he has cut you off and completely ghosted you. Yet his face still showed up when you’d go to sleep. You’d be lying if you said you had gotten over him. But you were ready to start again. To find him. You walked through your old school, looking at the mural he had painted, The trophies he had obtained and the soft gentle music he had created. He was everywhere. You take the bus home, the same one you used to take after school. Arriving at your small cozy house. You stepped into your old room, seeing the red words still engraved into the walls. This didn’t age well. As much as your sister wished you forget his ass, she'd rather see you happy than sad. So she helped you find where he worked.

When you walked into the tattoo shop, you were shocked he didn’t open a painting business. Yet when you saw his tattoos spread across his body, it all added up. The bright Colors engraved into his skin. He looked like art. “Welcome-“ he stopped when his eyes met yours. “Jake…” you said walking up to him. “I need to leave..” he said packing his essentials and leaving the room. You followed shortly behind getting into the taxi with him. The taxi driver was confused on you had randomly entered the taxi. yet he just shrugged it off and started driving to jakes destination. “you can't be here, and I’m going to tattoo a client!” He said. “It’s okay, I won't say a word” he rolled his eyes at you. The ride to the hotel was quiet. You stayed in the room as the client walked in. “Good evening ma'am! My name is Jake and I’ll be tattooing you” he said giving instructions to the woman for her to sit down. While he started working you two were arguing over the fact that he had left you hanging while you waited for him to call back.

“oh come on Jake! you could've left me a message! yet im here following you like a crazy lady on my first night back” you argued. His eyes were glued to the lady's skin, tattooing a beautiful tiger lily. “I'm sorry to interrupt your lover's quarrel but could you fill in the tattoo with some orange?” the lady asked. Jake looked around in his colours…. Putting your anger aside, you noticed he was confused. he couldn't tell them apart. They were all different shades of gray. “Ma'am your butt looks gorgeous without colour! Don't add anything to it” you said looking at her. “Really? okay ill keep it simple” she said going back to her phone. Jake finally let out the breath he didn't know he was holding.

When the client had left the room was quiet. “thank you..” he said. “what?” “I said thank you..” He repeated. You nodded sitting on the bed beside him. “when you left Korea, I stayed to look over my mom... We got into an argument one day-“ he said. “you don't need to continue Jake, take your time. You said rubbing his back “No I need to tell someone. I was driving when she started crying. She said I reminded her of my dad. I got mad, my dad left us. He was a horrible man. We started arguing. I hadn't noticed the truck speeding our way and we got hit… I survived and lost all sense of colours,y/n, my world is black and white... But my mom, she fought, she tried but she didn't make it..” he was smiling but you noticed the tears falling down his face. “Oh, Jake… im so sorry. I couldn't help being mad at you but it all makes sense. You lost both the things you loved in one day… It must've been hard. I'm sorry Jake” You said hugging him. “no y/n it's not your fault at all” You smiled at him while he packed up his bags.

“So where do you live now?” You asked following him. “I live a few minutes from here if you don’t mind coming with me,” he said putting his bag onto his back.

You nodded and followed him through the narrow alley. The wind was blowing softly and you noticed how much he had grown. His height, his hair, his body… he was completely different. When you arrived you noticed the building looked quite expensive. “Jake…” you said. “It’s not much but you know I try my best,” he said saying hello to the bodyguard and swiping his card. When you got into his apartment, it felt cozy. “Sorry if it’s messy!” He said picking up a few cans of beer that were on his coffee table. “Hey, Jake can I know where the bathroom is? I just need to go real quick” you said looking around. “Yeah it’s right down the hallway, second door to your left” You nodded again and walked as the lights opened. Something caught your attention on the walls. Pictures. Pictures of his mom, pictures of his art and mostly pictures of your first date. You slowly passed your hand over it. “It was beautiful wasn’t it” You jumped a little looking back at him. “Yeah, it was nice, Jake.” You said smiling

“Didn’t you need to use the bathroom?” He said clearing his throat “Oh? yeah!” You rushed off entering the small room. What will you tell him???? Without knowing it, you spent a few minutes in their pacing around. Suddenly you heard a small knock “Hey you okay in there?” He asked. “Yeah give me a second I’ll be right out!” You pretended to flush the toilet, washed your hands and exited the room.

“So how were the states,” Jake asked. “It was good, there weren’t many companies interested in what I wanted to give… I came back here because I didn’t want dads business to fail.” You said, playing with your hands. “Hey it’s okay, don’t worry, you know even I wasn’t able to succeed….” Jake mentioned looking down at his legs. “My dads paying for this room here, I just need to work and give him back some money once in a while… even if he left us, he still takes care of me from away… he got a call the other day asking to finish my mom's paintings…. I wanted to decline because I can’t see Colors but they’re offering so much money Y/N and I don’t think I can reject that…” Jake added. You nodded listening to him. “I can help you, you know? You’re the reason my childhood was so good Jake. When I went to America I couldn’t stop thinking about you. You never left my mind, and now I don’t want to make the same mistake. I’ll stay and help you” you told him caressing his hands. He gave you a genuine smile while you talked the night away.

For the next few months, you tried helping Jake regain confidence in his work. You’d bring him outside on trips to make him realize that maybe colours do look different. Even if he could only see gray, he was able to start noticing the difference between colours and complete them. His Sun turned yellow, his sky turned blue and his flowers turned a beautiful array of colours. He was so happy that you had accompanied him throughout this journey, taking him back to the world of colours. He was so great full for you and you were happy to just help him out.

When it came to D-Day, helping him out to complete his mom's work, you stayed by his side the whole time. Letting him know what colours he was using and letting him know if it made sense. He added new meanings to the paintings that not even his mom noticed. He tried to honour every little stroke to his dear mom. Once the painting was completed he was in awe. He couldn’t believe that after years of setting this aside, he was able to finally complete it. You were so proud of him for doing this. When the photographers arrived at the exhibition, everyone praised him for his work. He was able to complete a whole painting without even being able to see colours… While you were admiring the work, Jake came running to you.

“Hey, I have something for you!” He said. He takes your hand and began pulling you outside. “Close your eyes!!” He sounded too excited so you trusted him and closed your eyes. “Open them!” He said. When you opened your eyes you saw the most beautiful thing. There were a bunch of paintings and pictures of you guys together. You began walking down the alley of pictures, admiring each and every photo. “It’s beautiful Jake… I don’t know what to say..” you said. Jake just smiled and followed you while you walked. At the end of the walkway, you started noticing a few rose petals and candles lit. A beautiful picnic was set up for you two. “Jake thank you so much… I’m not sure how to react. This is the most beautiful thing ever” you said tears falling out of your eyes. Jake wiped them as he began talking “Look, my love, thank you so much for being here the past few months. My mom's project, you were the reason I was able to complete it. You were the reason I continued working every day to see progress. Ever since we were kids, you were always my reason why. And even if I left you alone for weeks and months, you still came back to me to treat me the same. I’m not sure what I would’ve done without you. I love you, Y/N… thank you this is all because of you..” he looked at you again “Can I?” He asked as you nodded. His lips touched yours as you smiled.. whispering against each other's lips soft words of love … “I love you more than I loved colours”.

Being a young, rich and beautiful women in the 1950s was a blessing. You’d thank god everyday that you were able to procure for yourself this luxurious lifestyle that screamed gold and diamonds. Being the most rich women in the town was also a big blessing, everybody was at your feet’s, ready to obey whatever words come out your mouth. You wished you could stay 19 forever, not needing to worry about your future nor your future husband. But you can’t stay young forever. You were almost 22. You were “at the limit of age” in your mothers words. She kept urging you to get married, to have kids and to settle down… your father on the other hand wanted to keep his baby girl forever. He didn’t want to let go of his precious little daughter and offer her off to some wealthy man who’d pay you half the respect your father payed. Your mother was tired of your antics, she was tired of your lame excuses to not settle down. She didn’t believe in love, she believed in power. In money.

So she threw parties. Big ones every 2-3 weeks, hoping you’d meet a lovely man at night. She dresses you in glitter and gold, dressing you with only the finest materials and the purest gold. Anyone who saw you could easily guess you were rich. And yet every party your mother threw, you were never able to find someone who caught your eyes. Everyone seemed so bland and so full of themselves, only looking to profit of you and your family. And you so rejected every offer that was given to you. You were destined to meet your true love. The one who’d save you from this hellhole. Another party that had miserable failed.

You woke up the next day, head throbbing from all the alcohol you had drank. You left your bed a mess, Ms.Cho rushed over to fix your bed, making sure not a single fold or crease was being shown. You entered your bathroom and opened the curtains, bright golden sunlight peeking through the cloudy day. Spring. You were tired and in need of breakfast, so you hurried up and got yourself ready… or at least presentable. As soon as you walked down the steps, your heels could be heard from miles away.

Some rustling and plates were heard while the kitchen staff prepare you a plate. “Good morning Ms.Y/N” a voice called out from behind you. Ms.Cho was now downstairs, making sure your breakfast goes as smoothly as possible. “Morning” you replied back, you weren’t so interested in small talk. Suddenly the sound of a vase being dropped was heard. Not just any vase but the ones your mother got exported from Thailand. “You peasant! My vase!” You mother yelled out.

Your eyes met with a young adult, maybe around your age. He was dressed very poorly, even his tie wasn’t placed in the proper etiquette. Even if his outfit gave off a poor and dirty vibe, his face shined a million light. You thought he had potential. His face was one even the richest couldn’t afford. His beauty shined beyond his outfit. The two moles on his face lining up like a constellation . His hair perfectly framing his symmetric face. He was a god. A divine beauty. You finally came back to thought as he started apologizing restlessly. His bows getting closer to the ground. His voices sounded amazing, he sounded like those of the birds who sung you into the morning. A soft lullaby waiting to be discovered.

“Mother leave him alone.” You said getting up from your chair and picking up the young man by his arm. You despised your mother, she always bossed around people. She thought of herself so highly. “Y/N! Come back here this instant!” She screamed at you not daring to move a step. Likewise, she wasn’t such a big fan of you. Ever since you were born, you always got what you wanted. Your footsteps could be heard as you walked away from her.

You kept pulling him away and away, far into the long halls of your castle. The boy was shivering; he was scared that he would be sent to the dungeon, after all, it was a mistake… “I’m so sorry ! I didn’t mean to disburd your breakfast and break a vase” he said spewing out words before he could even think. You finally stopped in front of your fathers study. He’d spend most of his hours there, managing all the castle buisness. You knocked on the door, ignoring the young boys apologies. “Come in ” your father called out as you walked in. Your Fathers face immediately lit up. “Father I want him. He’s my body guard now.” You said, not accepting no for an answer. “Well Y/N… he wasn’t trained for it… it could be dangerous, besides sweetie you cannot get everything alright? ” he said before taking a look at your face. Seeing those cute puppy eyes you were able to pull out whenever you wanted something. “But oh well… it won’t hurt to give it a try…” He continued watching your face as your expression changed. You were so excited that you ran to give your father a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “thank you! I love you father!!!” You finally exited your fathers study, taking this boy to your room. Again , walking through the long hallway of your castle. Until you finally reached your room. “What’s your name?” You asked , sitting down on your bed as the man watched, not so certain what to do. “Sunghoon. Park Sunghoon” He watched you carefully as you layed down on your bed. Should he look away? “ well hoonie im Y\N. Each morning, at 8am,you will be infront of my room. You’re my new body guard”

And he listened to you, everyday at 8am he would be at your door, waiting for you to exit. He was a little awkward at first, but after a while he started acting a little more normal. Your mom wasn’t happy that you were getting close to a peasant. You wouldn’t even do anything if sunghoon wasn’t there!! If he want eating with you and your family, you wouldn’t eat! He has become a part of your life now. And everyday you’d thank your dad for hiring him. Even if you had never believed in love, he made it happen. He made you believe in love at first sight. All of your heart belonged to him. He made you feel ways you’ve never felt. You were complete opposite. But opposites attract right? You were sunshine and he was midnight rain.

Weeks passed by that way, you had finally gotten closer. He would now hold your hands and smile at you. If you had told your old self that sunghoon finally showed emotions towards you, you would be shocked. When your father passed away, he was the first to comfort you. While your mom was out drinking and coming home wasted, hed sit by your side comforting you. He promised you better days would come. He would pick you over 3 meals a day. He couldn’t stand seeing you cry. When your mother would yell at you, he’d quickly come to your rescue and pull you away from the situation. You couldn’t believe this was the shy Park Sunghoon you had first met. The flowers bloomed in his presence. Summer had approached.

The morning bright morning had already started peeking in. The wind softly blowing in as the curtains moved to the soft melody of the birds. You stretched out your arms looking over to the beautiful morning view. Finally it was July 15. The day where the orchid tree was in full bloom. All its beauty had finally bloomed. You couldn’t wait longer, you ran out of your room. Sunghoon was outside, as usual, waiting for you to exit. “Good Morning Ms.” he said, letting you lead the way. “ Let’s go see the orchids outside!” You said pulling him to your private garden. This scene seamed like it came out of a movie for Sunghoon. The wind blowing your hair. The way you were moving so carelessly in this cruel world. His feeling has developed so fast and so subtly he couldn’t even grasp the concept of falling in love. You were his drug. His medicine every time he was ill. The person who kept him going. He wanted it comfortable and you wanted that pain.

“Don’t run so fast ms. You’ll get hurt!” He said, watching you let go his hands and run further away from him. He reached his hand forward trying to catch up too you. His hand reaching out, not being to grasp you, only your shadow. He stopped when you reached the tree “Don’t be a fool hoon! Sit down will you?” You said sitting down on the wooden bench. It was placed right under the orchid tree. Your father had it custom made for your 5th birthday. It was facing the sun. The direction of hope. For the first time since your father passed away, you felt a presence on this bench. You looked over seeing Sunghoon looking at you.. He looked at you just like how every women desires to be looked at. His eyes were full of love. Full of emotions. The world was in slow motion. His hair was moving to the rhythm of the wind. You started leaning in. Your eyes filled with romance. Your lips were inches apart. Orchid flowers coming down the tree to land around you. He pressed his lips against yours, letting no space disturb you. You leaned in more, savouring the taste of his lips. His hands slowly going to grab your neck. If this was a movie scene, it would be the one that everyone replays. The feeling of love escaping through your throat. Love was the most beautiful thing in this depressing world. It lit up seas and oceans. Love. Just young love.

He pulled away slowly looking around to see if anyone had caught you. He couldn’t be seen with you, a peasant and a rich woman. You calmed him down, rubbing his back as he leaned his head on your shoulder. You stayed in that position till it got late. The sun was long gone and replaced by the darkness of the night. You wished you could’ve stayed this way forever but sunghoon didn’t want to stay out while it was dark. He walked you back until your room. After he was sure you were tucked in and felt secure he started walking towards his own room. Pressing his fingers against his lips. Your taste. The taste of sweet daisy’s. Lord he misses it. He cleaned the room, sitting down on his desk. He toke out a peace of paper and a ink pen. Writing out his emotions. It toke him a while, writing everything he felt for you. From the instant he met you to today. Words not enough to describe what he felt for you. He was crazy inlove with you.

The next morning came by quickly. You rushed out of bed and opened the door. This action felt so familiar to you now. Waking up and opening the door for hoon. Only that today he wasn’t there. You peeked your head outside hoping he was just taking a walk outside but no. You asked around for him but no one knew who he was. He disappeared from one day to the next. He was gone just like the nightlight.. No words from him or anything. You ran back to your room, just you and your aching soul.. tears filled your eyes and sorrow filled your body. The pain ran through your body. You didn’t even realize when you feel asleep. Waking up surrounded with tissues. Someone was knocking on your door aggressively. Your mom was wondering why you hadn’t came down. “ come down this instant Y/N! Don’t you dare cry over that dirty peasant!” She yelled out tired of knocking. You opened the door. The view was a lot to take in. Your clothes were a mess, dark circles were forming underyour eyes. “ Come eat at least” she said, slamming the door on you. Of course . Your mom was against your emotions again. It was nothing new. She always acted this way. lord this made you crazy, love made you crazy.

A few years passed like this. The first few months were miserable, everything had reminded you of him. Vases,flowers,beds and even your room. You missed him. His smell. His words. His actions… That was until your mother announced she has found someone for you. Young, rich and handsome polo player, Lee Heeseung. Your marriage was planed the 28th of may, 1953. Everyone was invited. It was a huge wedding. He was crazy in love with you, just like Sunghoon. He looked at you with so much love. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t love him. He was so lovable. He brought you warmth and comfort. He’d do anything for you. Everything you desire. You didn’t even need to ask, it was all ready for you.

The night of your wedding you finally decided to share a room. He had already gotten comfortable in your sheets. Your smell engulfing his nose. Like a warm hug. He shoved his face further into the sheets,taking in your smell. The smell of fresh daisies. He turned around looking for you . And when he couldn’t feel your presence he opened his eyes, searching the room. You were on the balcony, reaching out to a white light on the other side of the lake. Your arms stretched out to the light, it was calling you. “ come back to bed sweetness” he said patting the area next to him. “Yes darling” you said to him, smiling as you closed the balcony door as well as the curtains. Laying down next to him, wrapping your hand around his waist. He pecked your forehead, whispering words of love. The ones which make you taste sweetness.

The months passed by fast with him. Your relationship was perfect. He was a devoted husband. He’d do anything for you and he wasn’t ashamed to remind you at every moment. He loves you. Your father would’ve loved him. He treated you right. The way you truly deserve. Your mom she never gave up her habits. Throwing big lavishing parties every weekend. Today’s party was to celebrate your first six months with him. You were dressed in white, with your hair up. Heeseung was dressed in a white and blue suit orned with gold buttons. He kissed you as people cheered. You had grown famous overtime. The title “ Polo player,Lee heeseung and rich icon, Y/N” being seen everywhere. Little did you know someone was watching you. Tears stained his face and he stood in the rain, watching you from outside. He was heartbroken and headed home. Following the white light to lead him home. He did this for you.

When you had woken up in heeseungs arm the next day , Ms.Cho told you that someone left you an invite. You had gotten an invitation to someone‘s party, Someone named PS. You were bored of staying home everyday and decided to go. Heeseung followed you, being there for you when you need it. It was difficult to get in. Every one seemed to have gathered here. There is possibly no way the owner had written that many invites. You looked around until you spotted a young group of women.“ do you know how i could talk to PS?” You asked them as they laughed at your comment. “ No one knows who PS is, everyone comes to his party to drink” a random girl said. You turned around to look at Heeseung as he nodded disapprovingly. “ lets go home sweetness” he said but you refused. You refused to leave this party without knowing who PS was. Suddenly you felt a tap on your shoulder. “ Mister Park would like to see you, please follow me” He said to you. You followed the man and Heeseung started following you. “Alone please” he added staring at heeseung. You looked back at Heeseung as he let go of your hand. “Be careful sweetness” he said grabbing your hand and leaving a small kiss. You looked back at heeseung once again before you followed this man to a room. You guessed the room of mister Park. He opened the door for you and closed it slightly as you went in. A man was seen, his broad shoulder would be viewed. When he turned aroun your mind went blank. Sunghoon. Mr.Park was Sunghoon..

You turned back around hurrying to leave the room. Even if you once had good memories with him, you didn’t want to be reminded of this.. “ No please Y/N listen to me” he said running to hold your hand. “There is absolutely nothing to hear! Your a fool Sunghoon. A crazy fool! You let me suffer without telling me anything! Not even a word!” Tears started flooding your eyes. Your whimpers could be heard in the room as sunghoon looked at you cluelessly. “ No my Love ! I wrote you a letter!” He said staring into your eyes. Looking for reassurance “ What letter…” you asked. “I left it on your bed! It had your name written and everything!” He added holding both your hands as he looked into your eyes. He looked like he was about to start crying. “ WHAT LETTER HOON. WHAT WAS IN IT” you yelled out before he said “Oh my dear, I was poor. I was a poor man. I wouldn’t have let you marry such a peasant. I went away to work my dear. I worked all those years to afford you this house! To get you away from your mother! I wanted to give you everything. This whole house belongs to you, Y/N. My life is yours!” he said. Your tears started getting louder. Sunghoon finally let go of your hands so he could wipe away the tears escaping your eyes. “ sunghoon… money never mattered to me!” You yelled out “let me show you my dear! I’ll show you what I had gotten for you” sunghoon ran off in the room bringing back piles of boxes. “ these are the finest diamonds there is! I got them all from India my darling. The finest jewelry for the finest women” you started weeping again. Tears escaping your eyes. It was beyond your control, waterfalls were falling. “ my dear, what’s wrong?” Sunghoon asked sitting you down on an expensive looking couch “ I have never seen such fine jewelry” you cried holding onto him. And the scene replayed. The scene under the orchid. The scene were you and him kissed. This time it was different. He leaned in first. And you let him. You let him kiss you. You even kissed back. The smacking of your lips could be heard. Little did you know someone was looking. You had disappeared for so long someone came for you.

Heeseung wiped his tears and exited the room. Couldn’t you have locked the door? What he couldn’t see wouldn’t have hurted him. But instead, you left the door open. Leaving it wide open for everyone to see. You were going to see what he can do. How dare you cheat on him. You were his possession. His shining trophy.

You pulled away from sunghoon. A string of saliva could be seen. “ I- I shouldn’t have done this! I’m a married women sunghoon!” You said wiping off the saliva. “My love. Just tell him! Tell him you love another man and it’ll all be alright I promise.” He said holding onto your cheeks as your eyes stared into his. “ I might do it hoon… for us. For you…” you said. How was this happening all over again. Hot summer nights. Mid July.

When you went back downstairs from sunghoons room , heeseung was waiting for you. “ I want to know everything abt this PS” he told you as he pulled you away. Leaving the house as he aggressively drove him. At home, he was already in bed while you got changed. After you are done, you slowly sneaked into the bed, placing your hands on his waist, trying to hug him. But he inched further. Like he was ignoring your touch. Maybe he wanted space, so you turned around and cried yourself to sleep. For heeseung, your cries were pure torture. But it was your fault. You had kissed another man. You were going to pay for it.

The next day heeseung was no longer beside you. Usually he’d wake you up with kisses. Waking you up the only way you deserved. You wondered where he has left.

When he had gotten back him, his white shirt had a few drops of blood. Red blood. Human blood. When you asked him what he had done. He just started laughing. “I killed him” he said kissing your forehead. “ heeseung… who did you kill…” you asked inching away from him. “I killed that damn Park Sunghoon! How dare you cheat on me?” He asked you staring into your eyes. Again tears, this time he wasn’t so affected though. He had done what he needed to do in order to protect his family. In order to protect his prized possession. “ you’re crazy!” You yelled out pulling your own hair. “ oh sweetness, you love it! I’m richer than him! Why would you even want such a lowlife? Besides, the only thing I’m crazy for… is you”

He was right. You didn’t care about sunghoon, you didn’t care that he was your first love. You wanted money and heeseung had it. He was rich and famous. What more could you want. So you ignored what heeseung did. You didn’t even want to attend sunghoons funeral. Instead you ignored all the calls you had from his worker. No one was there for him, not a single person showed up. You and heeseung were cruel, money leaded you too this. Those memories are nothing when you have money. Love isn’t real, money is. Your mom was right all along, and your father was wrong. Love and emotions won’t get you anymore… but money and power will. He wanted a bride but you wanted your own name.

You looked at yourself over and over again, grabbing whatever of your belly you could and crying to yourself. The image in the mirror displeased you… Everyone around you looks so skinny and perfect, clothes flattering them and making them glow to perfection. You, on the other hand, were there, your body larger than usual, your stomach poking out and your clothes way too tight on your body. Looking at the mirror you couldn’t see anything but dissatisfaction, everything was too big or too heavy. You knew weighing yourself hourly wouldn’t change a thing, so why was it that every hour or so you would step on the scale and hope to see a change…

As soon as you heard the door opening, you wiped off your tears, throwing on your boyfriend's t-shirt. Even if that just was a little loose on you, you knew that if any person on the streets would throw that on, they could swim in it.. you looked at your reflection in the bathroom mirror and locked the door. sunghoon opened every door saying your name, “Y/N! Baby? Where are you?” He finally got in front of the toilet hearing a flushing sound and a soft sob coming from you. “Hey darling, open up I miss you~” he sang out turning the doorknob when he heard the door unlock. The sight was a lot to take in. First, his baby was crying, spit and dried tears coating your face. Second, your face in your hand while you sat on the toilet bowl. Third, he could see the scale close to your feet, gently pushed to the side, And lastly, the tower of tissue paper sprawled out on the counter. He immediately dropped his gym bag and closed the bathroom door behind him. He got down on his knees pushing away the scale and he gently removed your hands from your face. “ what’s wrong darling? Did something happen?” He asked while grabbing a wet wipe to wipe off all the tears and spit off your face.

“ I don’t deserve you…” you said between sobs, pushing off his hands. He rolled his eyes, getting up and leaving the room. Your sobs got even louder, thinking that he was annoyed with you. You stayed alone for a couple of minutes on the toilet wondering if this was the end of your relationship. But a couple of minutes later, Hoon walked in with a fresh pair of his clothes and your favourite plush. As soon as you changed your clothes and were holding your plush sunghoon started talking again “ first let’s leave the washroom, come on let’s sit on the couch” Hoon grabbed your hand pulling you with him, he wasn’t going to take no for an answer.

He sat you down on the couch, turning you so you were sitting sideways, facing him. “Let’s talk about this okay? I love you darling but you need to tell me what’s going on” He said getting closer so he could rub your back. “ I don't feel good... I don't deserve you... You should date a skinnier person” you pushed all of that out, trying to get the most out without breaking down again. “Oh, honey... You are perfect for me. Your body is yours and no one can change that. It is normal that not everyone is satisfied with their body... I love everything about you” Hoon looked at you again his love is shown in his eyes. He was also on the verge of tears, how can his beautiful baby be insecure about their body? “ I love your face *kiss* I love your body *kiss* I love your hand *kiss* and most importantly I love you..” He pulled you closer so that you were hugging him, the position was a little uncomfortable but your boyfriend was your comfort. It didn't matter if it was uncomfortable, at heart you were at ease.

“ Look I understand you can be insecure, but from my eyes, I see nothing wrong. I know it can be harsh dealing with criticism from people, especially when it's family or friends... But you shouldn't let it get to you. At the end of the day, it's your body, and if you feel comfortable with it and you see progress in yourself... Why change it?” He rubbed your head feeling your eyes get softer, the tears were rare now, just soft whimpers could be heard. “ if ever you want to change something, and I don't see what possibly could make you perfect then you already are, I could bring you to the gym with me. That's only if you want okay?” He kissed your lips one last time while you nodded.

“ Now I got you some food from your favourite restaurant, so you will be eating. I don't take no for an answer” he turned his body so that he was facing the coffee table taking out the food and mixing it. “ ahh open wide” he put the spoon in front of your mouth his hand under to catch whatever would fall. He watched as your lips slowly trembled as your mouth opened, savouring the salty taste. “ and I hope you don't feel bad for eating, trust me I will feed you and I will check on you. Don't mistreat yourself because of what people have forced on you okay?” Hoon said grabbing another bite for you to eat. “Oh God my perfect baby”

Sunghoon is a perfect boyfriend, you noticed after you went to sleep that he had hidden the scales from you, putting them in places you couldn't find or reach. He covered all of your favourite snacks' calories and sometimes even took off the food labels. He bought new shirts for himself, making sure they'll drape over your body, giving that oversize shirt effect. He made sure nothing would trigger you again, he didn't want you to break down crying again. Believe it or not, it hurt him so much you see you in so much pain. He wishes you could've removed half or even one-fourth of your pain...

When you falls asleep while he talks to you

You came home tired from all your classes you had. Already you pulled an all nighter yesterday + your day was filled with class work and exams. As soon as you opened your door you where hit with a sense of comfort. Jake’s perfumed mixed with yours smelled like a warm and comforting hug.

You quickly toke off your shoes and jumped on your couch, opening the tv to catch up on “Little Women”. You watched for about 20-30 minutes until you heard your apartment door opening. Jake was home from practice.

You wished you were like other people and cooked him a nice homemade meal but you were so tired and felt so worn out you didn’t want to do anything. Thankfully, as soon as he got next to you he put down a bag of fried chicken. Your favorite. “Good evening my baby, did you have a good day” he asked patting your head. Taking your face into his palms looking at you with all the love in his eyes. You shook your head and gently said “ how about you? Practice good?” Your voice was a little shaky and really soft, if Jake wasn’t paying attention he wouldn’t have even heard you.

“ it was so good!! I have so many new stories to tell you. Let’s eat first” Jake exclaimed. You always thought he looked like a golden retriever. A cute little puppy that is so excited to say everything he heard and saw. You quickly toke out a chicken leg ( it’s a gesture of love) and gave it to Jake, he smiled kissing your cheek. By now, he was well aware that you were tired, usually you’re every energetic and give back his energy. Today something was different, you were tired.

After you were done eating, since Jake bought the food, you decided to clean up. You put all the dishes and cups into the sink while picking up any trash you had. You were washing the dishes when Jake came up behind you hugging you tightly. “Babyyy, can we watch a movie pleasee” he pouted at you while giving you those big soft puppy eyes. You had no intention to reject ( it’s not like you could). “Of course darling could you make some popcorn while I finish washing the dishes ?” He nodded on your shoulder and popped a popcorn package into the microwave.

When you were both done you sat down on the couch, cuddling into each other. “Oh do you want to know what I did today!!” Jake said all excited. “Of course! What did you do?” You asked him while playing with his hair, you were laying on his shoulder while he layed his head on your head. “ we were dancing to PARADOXXX INVASION and suddenly jay just starts laughing right? And we are all wondering what is happening!! So we all stopped practising right” You let out a hum listening to his talking. “ Then we notice that jungwon kept making silly faces at him !! He just kept laughing and laughing so we had to stop practice and take a long break” you laughed while listening to him talking “those two are always playing around like cats!!” You said still laughing at what happened.

“ since we were taking a break, Heeseung suddenly started making ramen in the practice room!! The whole room smelled like shin ramyeon. So then we ended up eating ramen hehe”. By the time he looked at you, he found you sound asleep on his shoulder.

“My darling, today has been rough on you right? Sleep well darling” he softly kissed your forehead and patted your head. Your soft snores and his small gestures could be heard. Jake knew today had been very exhausting for you so he let you sleep, no matter how tired he also was, he always wanted you to rest.

Always remember that brighter days will be happening. At the moment your life might be harsh, and you might be confused. Some days will be better than others and some will be difficult. No matter what please take care of yourself !! SCARING YOU DURING A HORROR MOVIE

Pairing: Lee heeseung! X reader! (NB)

You hated horror movies. Heeseung loved them. You weren’t particularly fond of the way they’d scared you when you’d go to sleep, but for some reason heeseung seems to enjoy them the most when you are there with him. Maybe it’s the reactions or the way you cuddle him at night, scared of being attacked. No matter what, when halloween came around you had no choice then to cuddle up to your boyfriend and sit through another horror movie.

Today was no different, heeseung invited you over saying that halloween is today and that it’s not really halloween unless you watch horror movies. At first you rejected his idea, still haunted by the thought of not being able to sleep alone… but when he gave you those big doe eyes you couldn’t even deny him… Before going over to his house, you stopped by the convenience store buying some snacks, banana kicks, popcorn, drinks, candies and many other things you know that heeseung likes. Walking to his house felt like walking to your personal hell. You loved watching movies with heeseung and you knew that if ever you really didn’t like the movie, heeseung wouldn’t hesitate to take it off and comfort you. You just loved how heeseung treated you after you had screamed all your lungs out, you’d watch any horror movie a second time if it meant getting that special treatment ;)

As soon as you knocked on the door he quickly opened it pulling you into his warm embrasse. His cologne hitting your nostrils, comfort. He didn’t waste any time to pull you onto the couch, lazily throw a blanket onto you two and starting a movie called «  fear of fever ». At first it didn’t seem bad, you just held onto heeseung but suddenly there was a random jumpscare. A scary man popped out with his face deformed and blood leaking from everywhere. You jumped and held onto heeseung as he gently rubbed your head and laughed at you.

As soon as the scene changed he paused the movie “ baby I just need to go to the washroom real quick, can you wait for me here?” he asked patting your head while staring at you. You shook your head not wanting to be left alone. “Nothing will happen baby, just stay here okay?” He left a kiss on your forehead, handing you his phone as he left to the washroom. You knew he handing you his phone so that you can distract yourself from tonight’s spooky ambiance, so you quickly pulled out a random game and started playing.

Suddenly you started to hear taps on the window, then another… then scratches. Suddenly whatever was outside erupted in a fit of laughter and screams. You were so scared “HEESEUNG PLEASE COME HERE” you plead on the verge of tears, holding onto his phone tightly. As soon as he heard you he came rushing in “what’s wrong baby??? What’s happening” he paused, hearing the tapping on the window. Suddenly tears started pouring from your eyes, scared that this was some scary creature from the movie. As soon as he saw you cry, he held onto you tightly, typing aggressively on his phone.

“It’s okay baby, it’s only jay… I’m sorry baby, let’s go to sleep darling” he said carrying you to bed too scared to scare you again. Hearing your soft whimpers he felt so bad… he regretting telling jay that it was a good idea to scare you. He tried his best to put you to sleep, patting your head gently while he looked over you sleeping, quickly hugging you when you’d stir in your sleep.. “My poor baby… you had your whole energy drained because of me :( I’m sorry darling.” He kissed your forehead one last time. He laid down next to you, holding you tightly into the night, knowing that tomorrow morning he’ll make you breakfast and pamper you. Heeseung really is the best boyfriend ever.

You walked through the alley and notice Jay doing small mouvement, you thought he was calling you crazy because he was turning his finger close to his head but he was simply motioning your curls. Why was he insulting me first thing in the morning when I was just trying to get in my seat? Damn what a harsh morning.

As soon as you sat down infront of Sunoo he said “your curls” you quickly understood that one of your curls wasn’t perfect and it was ruining your hair…. You looked into the mirror noticing that one of your curl has separated and it looked mike a thunder had struck you. That’s what Jay was trying to say, your hair was messed up… Fuck that’s why you hated wearing your natural hair. There was always a single curl who wouldn’t face the right way. You sat down infront of sunoo quickly pulling out your styling cream and some water hoping to salvage this ruined curl. Sunoo saw you struggling to fix it since it was at the back of your hair so he volunteered to help you.

“Omg are you sure? I’m not bothering you right?” You asked him once again before giving him the water and the cream. “ are you doubting my skills ? Trust me I’ll give you the prettiest curl” he said wetting your hair before squeezing out your styling cream. He rubbed it on your hair wnd quickly started fixing it. He started by rolling your hair on his two fingers and then rolling the hair around his fingers. While he was at it he arranged a couple other of your curls. “Voila!! Im done :) you can check it” he said added a little volume to your hair by scrunching it up.

You pulled out a small mirror, admiring his work. (Also admiring his beautiful face at the back of the mirror). You couldn’t stop looking; this is the first time your hair has looked so good. “Sunoo. Be honest with me. Is this the first time you did this?” You asked shocked at how well he did this, it looked even better than when you did it !!! “ What can i say, hair is my specialty darling” he said. he arranged his own hair, contente that you are happy with the final product. I can’t believe all it toke to love your natural hair was Kim sunoos styling…

The whole day everyone kept complimenting the way your curls bounced when you moved and the way they were placed. Even the teachers noticed a difference in your hair wondering why you suddenly look 100x brighter then usual. On the other hand, you were just happy you got to interact with your crush and that he did your hair for you. Needless to say you wore your natural hair more often, hoping that he’ll always be up to fixing it. We all know Kim sunoo, he loves styling your hair. TEAM PROJECT ( PART TWO)

It was now the day after the class was announced. You felt embarrassed and weird about being teamed up with jay. The thought of you insulting the schools precious angel and him hearing it?? You were surprised his fan girls didn’t jump you get. You walked to class wondering if you should stop by a cafe or the connivence store hoping to buy his happiness with a macaron. Lucky you found a cafe having a new flavour line “HONEY COMB DREAM” which was basically a set of honey milk tea and a honey filled donut.. you quickly bought the set and walked to class hoping to not be late.

But who are we kidding, you are Y/N L/N, always 30 minutes early to any of your classes (except math because you did not enjoy it as much as your other classes). You walked into the class, the teacher quickly stopping you before you sit down in your usual seat. “I made a seating plan Y/N, everyone will be seating with their partner so that you can get to know each other more. I sat you at the front with Jay since I know how much you like being at the front. It should also be a change to see Jay being any where else but the back!” He said cheerfully. You smiled and thanked him while you walked to your assigned seat. Front row, middle. Damn… maybe Jay will hate you after this…

You looked at your phone, waiting as students, one by one, started filling the class. Each and everyone shocked about the sudden seating plan. Suddenly you see him from the corner of your eyes, Park Jongseong, walking in with a brand new guitar. He gasped seeing the seating plan, immediately groaning sitting next to you. Well damn that hurted, you couldn’t believe Jay groaned at the fact at being next to you. You toke out the set and handed it to him.

“Hey again I’m really sorry for yesterday, i hope you like honey…” you said passing him the drink and the donut. He observed it at first before saying “Thanks Y/N, but you really don’t need too. It’s fine, I know you didn’t mean it.” He said drinking the drink, you looked at him expectedly hoping he’d say something about the drink…. “ Oh, honey is my favorite by the way, Thanks… I have some gum if you want?” He said while you shock your head, maybe he wasn’t that miserable. He’s actually quite nice if you say so.

The class continued until the teacher gave you free time to start your project. You really did not want to do this first thing in the morning, but judging Jays lack of interest in this class, you had no choice but to work hard. “So Umh should we get started ?” You asked him handing him the outline of what you worked on. “ Wait I didn’t know we had to do an outline ???” He said scanning the papers you had handed him. “ we didn’t need too… I just wanted to get my thoughts organized so this could be easier for us, I hope that’s okay with you” you said giving him a smile.

“Yeah that’s fine with me, I’m still coming over tonight right?” He said looking at the back of the class and sending sunghoon a wink. Weird.

Comforting you when he sees you having a panic attack because of a teacher

Honestly, it was a bad day, a bad week. Even if Monday and technically the week had just started, you were having a horrible week. The teacher who came to give your classroom a detailed explanation on acting has been targeting you and your friends non-stop. He kept telling you and your friends to not laugh when he made jokes but he was fine with other people laughing and talking.

He sat down on the desk infront of you and your friends and as soon as you laughed he turned around “Excuse me? Am I bothering you? You shouldn’t be talking if you have nothing to say” he rolled his eyes at you and continued teaching the rest of the class as if nothing happened. You and your friends looked at each other confused on what you did… already tears started welling up in your eyes. Jay looked at you,concerned for a second, he knew you didn’t like being yelled at… The boy gave you a faint smile but turned back around to look at the teacher seeing you ease up a bit.

You coughed, not being able to hold back something that’s natural. The teacher offended, got up, put both his hands on your desk and yelled out “ Really? This behaviour i see in children, not adults like you. I’m bothered. If you have nothing to say you should just keep your mouth shut..” You forced your eyes to hold back tears, your heartbeat getting faster and your hands fiddling with each other. But of course he turned around like nothing happened, going back to the lesson.

Your friends noticed you having a panic attack, overwhelmed by the emotions you were feeling. You started gasping for air while trying to find a way to calm yourself down. One of your friends quickly motioned at Jay to look at you. Your boyfriend has always been able to take care of you whenever you have an attack or when you’re feeling down, and this was no different. He’d jump off a mountain if that meant being able to protect you. As soon jays attention went on you, seeing your breathing becoming unsteady,he ran to your place rubbing soft circles all over your back. “Let’s leave. I’ll get you outside of here okay? Please breath first me” Jay said pulling you up your seat and bringing you outside your class.

“Young man, who gave you permission to leave this classroom? Tell you and your friend to sit back down before I really start getting angry. Your friend here has just been causing a whole commotion, and now look they’re interrupting the class trying to get everyone’s attention.” Now you really couldn’t breathe as you whispered out a soft “jay… I really need you right now”. Jay scoffed talking back to the teacher for the first time “well if you didn’t notice, she’s out here having a panic attack because of your behaviour, I suggest you let me take her out before I report this to the school”

Without waiting for an answer he pulled you out of class and sat you down on the nearest chair he found. He held your hands in his, getting down on his knees. “Darling, I want you to breathe for me… take deep breaths.” He said while rubbing gentle circles over your hands. “Look at me, you’re enough okay? When I step in a room, no matter how many people there is, my eyes always goes to you. And you need help right now so I couldn’t care who I hurt in the process, At least you are safe my darling” he said pressing a gentle kiss to your temple.

He noticed how your breathing was going back to stable, leaving you for a couple second to grab a chair besides you. He sat down hugging you, watching your tired eyes close gently. “Poor baby, you must have had a hard time right? That’s okay fall asleep , I’m here for you” he said patting your arm. Your head falling onto his shoulders. Your soft snores being heard in this quiet room. As soon as he say your eyes close, he sent an email at the principal. He needed to let his anger out one way or another.

The teacher who was sent today to show the class an activity had been picking on a student to the point where they had a panic attack. I would hope you’d deal with him before I tell my dad. YOUR FOOT TAPS ABSENTLY AGAINST the tile flooring of the restaurant. looking out of the window and across the small intersection, you can see the side of a humble, slightly worn-down building: your old middle school. in the early morning, it’s nice to reminisce on the years you’d spent in that very building alongside sunoo and sunghoon. 

a sigh escapes your lips as you read every single item on the menu for the fourth time, then pull out your phone. you hadn’t expected them to be early, but you’d been sitting in the booth and waiting for over ten minutes. a typed out expression of your frustration sits above your keyboard, and your fingers hover over the send button as you hear the little ding of the bell placed above the restaurant’s door.

“what took you so long?” you scold as sunoo and sunghoon, both clad in coats with the collars standing straight up, approach your table.

៹ ̊ GLIMPSE OF US — HAPPILY EVER AFTER

➖ hi guys!! this is the official ending to “glimpse of us” i know some parts are missing but since i am deleting this account in a few days/weeks, there is really no point in me writing them. basically here is what happened

• Heeseung and YN rewatch the security cameras and finds out that Minjeong was telling the truth. Ashamed that they accused her, they both went to apologize and Minjeong forgives them under the condition that Heeseung would apologize for everything he’s hurt her with in their relationship.

• Minjeong eventually moves on, though her and Heeseung’s relationship took a heavy toll on her. She ends up meeting a very nice guy named Park Jongseong, and they get married later

• Heeseung and YN end up getting back together, deciding to raise Jungwon as a couple

• YN tells Sunghoon about Seonwoo and Kimiko, and Sunghoon feels a rush of deja vu. Unable to get his mind off this news, he rushes to find Kimiko, and they start talking once again. Sunghoon takes care of Seonwoo and the two are happily back together in the span of a few months

• The ending is set in the future where Seonwoo and Jungwon both head off to university, a sight that makes both YN and Kimiko cry as they watch their sons grow in front of their eyes

• Riki and Jake bought a house together, never settling down, only having a girlfriend there and then. They personally do not want kids

• After university, YN decides to fully be a stay-at home mom, and Kimiko and her both become close friends

• After university, Wonyoung launches her own skincare business, one that would be extremely successful and known in the future. Sungchan moves to Japan, though he occasionally visits Korea to see YN and Wonyoung

• Seonwoo and Jungwon grow up to be best friends since their mothers and fathers are so close, and they actually end up going to the same university!
