Player: Muma

Now, this is one that I didn’t really want to believe, as Muma seems like a funny likable guy. There isn’t “hard” proof for any of this, but these are the words of his former teammates. Now, this is about things Muma did 4 years ago when he was 16, so you can make up your own mind if you believe that excuses his actions. So, without further adieu, here is my least favorite post I’ve ever made:

Problematic actions: Racism, (Also accused of LAN throwing and being a dick, but we’ll get into this later)

A little backstory: Back before Overwatch was even a thing, Muma was a pro Team Fortress 2 player. He was on a team called Strawberry Mangoes with a teammate named Tagg. Now, Tagg was black, which is where all of the conflict comes from.

4 years ago, someone made a thread known as “Rip Tagg” to which Tagg himself responded.

Now, if you don’t want to read all of that, I’d like to direct your attention to one line in particular

That’s pretty bad, coming from an ex teammate who is black.

I searched hard and there is no vidoes of any Strawbarry Mangoes skrims, so it’s all based on the word of his ex teammate.

It’s not unbelievable, though, since he is just one of many people that Tagg called out.

Now about the other stuff, there is only one, less believable source.

Another ex teammate known as B4nny.

Now, B4nny is known to be an arrogant dickhead, so take this one with a grain of salt, but it was at least worth mentioning. The maon point of this post was the racism allegations, though.

Many years later, it looks like Tagg and Muma are friends, so do with that what you will.

This post was difficult to make, and I heavily researched all of it, and in the end I couldn’t find any excuse to not make it.

Hope you stayed to read the whole thing, and I hope you make up your own mind with what I provided.

Dafran is still in OWL

It’s seems he just had another outburst from being frustrated at ranked. He has been dealing with mental health issues and trying to improve himself by going to therapy and medication. But the past outburst where he said he was quoting seems to be just self sabotaging behavior in the heat of the moment. I hope that the Atlanta org uses their resources to help Dafrans mental health improve, as well as look after their other players mental health.

Adept, xqc‘s roommate, apparently didn’t get any search results when checking for tweets that voted xqc mvp. I went and checked myself to confirm if this was true and it wasn’t. People definitely voted for him. I don’t think it was rigged because just like the owl mvp award the casters and desk had a say/vote who gets mvp. Their votes counted a lot more than the audience. I’m not trying to call her out or anything cause she obviously didn’t get a search result. But I don’t like the insinuation her tweet has that it was rigged.

It would be so good for the Chinese overwatch scene if China wins World Cup. There are team owners of the Chinese teams and potential investors at blizzcon right now. They need to see a good showing, which they are, to make their investment worth it. China is where the money is and OWL will be in a good spot for the future if they can keep the Chinese investors. After the horrible representation from Shanghai in OWL it would be such a sweet thing to see Team China win the owwc. The Chinese overwatch scene has so much talent and it hasn’t been shown like this to the masses until now really.

I don’t know why it never occurred to me that owl and contenders players probably have private twitter accounts to tweet about stuff. Now that i follow some I can see why. There is some yikes stuff but most of it is hella depressing. The scene is so bad right now and blizzard needs to fix it cause these players have put everything on the line just to have a shot at making it. The toll it’s taking on their mental health is scary and I hope that players actually follow thru with creating a union so there is some structure to help them in the scene.

Some contenders players need to delete and remake their discords if/when they get into owl. If this doesn’t happen and people see what’s in them they will be banned and/or suspended in owl. I hope that the players know that what they allowed to be posted or posted themselves is wrong. That they learn from the mistake now instead of later and start rebuilding their community. Most of them are young so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but when some of these messages aren’t even a month old...😬

Team Japan has introduced to me a new flex king: Ta1yo. The boy has played main tank, flex tank, and dps on the main stage. Kenmohororo also flex’s between main and flex tanks to. I just love overwatch players to can play a ton of heros so well

I didn’t realize that World Cup was this weekend. Why am I not seeing any advertising for it. Especially since it’s the Korean division I would think blizzard would advertise it since it has the powerhouse teams Korea and Finland.
