How can you draw energy from storms?

Hello cesiore, drawing energy fromstorms is a bit like grounding in that you are taking energy from somethingelse to either increase or equalise your own personal energy. I really wouldrecommend reading THIS post I made earlier about grounding if you’ve never done any energywork before.

Alright, so like our bodies, thephysical world around us is full of energy. When working magic you will oftenfind the need to recharge expended energies, or build up energy quickly beforeperforming a task.

Nature has a smorgasbord ofenergies to choose from. It flows within the ground, travels through the heatof the sun, and is found rumbling in the heart of storms. While energy can be pulledthrough walls and ceilings (so you could do it inside) there is no feeling likestanding out in a storm and drawing its energy into you. Park shelters,gazebos, verandas and balconies are the best because you still feel exposed tothe storm while minimising the danger.

Once you’ve got your place it’stime to draw energy from the storm. To start, you should first visualise thestorm’s wild and chaotic energy. If there is thunder and lightning, try to feelthe tension and electricity in the air. Breathe it in. It should taste likeozone. If you need to close your eyes to visualise you are more than welcome.

Now grasp a tendril if the stormsenergy and pull it towards you. Feel its turbulent energy entering you and mergingwith your own energy. The best way to describe how you feel after drawing in energyfrom a storm is electrified. The hair on your arms stands up and you feel likeyou need the throw yourself out into the storm so that you can dance and singunder its majesty.

Typically, people use their feetand hands to absorb energy. However, any area of your body is capable of takingenergy in and you should use this to your benefit.

Weather witches, have a thing

(I don’t know if someone already talked about this but I haven’t seen any relevant post, so here goes)

Those are symbols used to describe what kind of clouds you’re seeing (actual symbols used by meteorologists, the pictures are from the Weather Prediction Center via Wikipedia)

You want some rain? No problem, the most common rain cloud is the nimbostratus so just pick its symbol (that’d be CM2), include it in a sigil, and you’re done

Storm is what feeds you? Then use the cumulonimbus symbol (CL9) and you’re ready!

You can also get more subtle and for example, use the symbol of the altocumulus, CM3, to create a mackerel sky that indicates a change of weather (usually towards rain or storm)

What is shadow work, and how do you do it?

Shadow work is a type of self-work that involves looking at all the fucked up parts of yourself, and coming to grips with them.

For example, my shadow work started with facing my anger and rage. Then I moved on to dealing with my anxiety and lack of friends, family and comrades. I then moved into dealing with sexual assault baggage and baggage tied to abuse.

Now I am working on handling my anxiety in a slightly different fashion, and taking all of the smaller pieces I’ve worked on and molding it into something more useful.

Dusken and Sat have written about it. TheRoseBell has a whole series on it. I know there are others here who have written on it- feel free to hook this anon up with any links you have that I don’t.

How you do it will depend on what needs to be done and what you respond best to. Set locked me inside of a big ass hole to force me to focus on it. Osiris drowned me in a river. Other variations of my shadow work have involved me asking a lot of questions about myself and my situation. Asking myself why I am acting or feeling the way I am and drilling down to the point of everything. And slowly accepting what I can, and letting go of what no longer suits me. It can take years to figure out how to reach a point of acceptance or letting go, and you really never entirely stop doing shadow work in my experience. And sometimes you’ll think you’ve got something figured out only to have to re-address that bit of shadow work a couple of months or years later.

Hopefully that helps to explain it. It’s a bit difficult to put into words because it is usually different for each person.

🌻listen to and charge with soft or acoustic music

🌞 spend some time outside, take some deep breaths of fresh air, enjoy the birds chirping, flowers, dew, fog, and the beautiful colors in the sky that sunrise brings

🌻charge some lemon juice in the sunrise for extra boost of cleansing, positivity, and happiness properties (to make it stronger you can infuse it with mint or grapefruit, which both have similar properties and correspond with sunrise)

🌞if you’re comfortable with it, leave an offering out for sunrise deities and dawn sprites & other sun fae

🌻sunrise is a spiritual time, it’s the perfect time for meditation, exploring spirituality, astral travel, etc.

A Short History of Thieve’s Oil ⚗️

Four thieves were brought to court during the Bubonic Plague, or “Black Death.” They were convicted of robbing the infected dead bodies of those who had passed from the plague.

They were not in the least bit sick, and were offered a shortened sentence if they would explain just how they had survived this long after being surrounded by the infected dead.

The four thieves explained their knowledge of herbalism and the medicinal properties of the herbs they had used to stay healthy.

It is said by some that the herbs were put in a vinegar solution and others say they were stuffed in the doctor masks they wore.

In the 1990s it was discovered that thieves oil has 99.96% success rate at killing airborne bacteria and has extreme antibacterial properties.

So here is the recipe that I use for thieves oil:

40 drops cinnamon leaf essential oil

35 drops lavender essential oil

25 drops eucalyptus essential oil

20 drops lemon essential oil

20 drops Frankincense essential oil

15 drops clove essential oil

10 drops rosemary essential oil

Diffuse in your home or put a few drops in a roller bottle topped with a carrier oil to help fight against infection!!!

I recently made a creativity spell jar for Belinda and I thought I might as well post the ingredients for you guys in case anyone finds it helpful.

This spell jar is used to encourage creative ideas and to prevent any sort of creative block

Ingredients
