The Sharks posted ace pride flag wallpapers. I don’t care one way or another about the Sharks as a team, but to see a mainstream, major league hockey team post ace pride stuff? I’m shocked and really happy.
Too often our community gets overlooked. And on one hand, I get it, asexuality isn’t as widely known as gay and bi and stuff. On the other hand, we’ve been a part of the LGBTQA2S community just as long. We have a place at the table that gets ignored. To see a group with as wide a following as the San Jose Sharks post ace pride flag wallpapers is amazing. As long as NHL teams are going to acknowledge Pride month, they should acknowledge all of us.
if you’re ever about to comment on a writer’s work and think, oh, they probably know how good they are, you’re definitely wrong. every time a writer posts or publishes anything, no matter how many years they’ve been doing it and no matter how many readers they have, they are struck with the idea that perhaps they aren’t very good at all.
if you think you’re annoying for commenting, or that we won’t see your comments anyway, you’re wrong. we see your comments. we actively look for them. we are starved for them no matter how many we get. we remember them and they fuel us. leave comments, even if it’s just saying “oh i like this”. i see an “oh i like this” and my heart grows three times its size and i am seized with an urge to provide you more writing just to hear you say “oh i like this” again.

Anytime we film something, from now on where he says ‘woman’, I guarantee you I’ve ruined every single take because I cannot keep a straight face when he does that to me.
People like that… corporations like that, they have all the money, they have all the power, and they use it to make people like you go away. Right now, you’re suffering under an enormous weight. We provide… leverage.
