while coloring the panels to slowly fade to a dusky purple from a sunset orange, i thought about the one scene from drop-out.

i have nothing more to say about this one aside from commenting that Legend calls Pegging LH to seem more personally intimate and friendly, while Pegging calls Legend J to sound condescending. also, Legend sits askew so that her back half is directly in front of Pegging on purpose. I tried to go out of my way to make this interaction as consensual as possible, because it would have been extremely easy to make it seem like Legend was backed into a corner here, with her legal culpability and thesis enmeshed with having sex. i also went out of my way to word dialogue in a way that didn't imply Legend doesn't find Pegging attractive. the comic doesn't really touch on whether she is a virgin like Jessie or not -- it isn't really relevant to the story.

another thing i've thought about aside from the lifespan thing is that animals literally think at different "FPS" -- the smaller animals tend to have a higher processing speed than larger animals. time literally moves slower for them. this means that a lot of animals would have advantages solely based on their species because their reactions are guaranteed to be faster. but it's never really acknowledged in nofna

A 28-year-old motorcyclist died in Washington State on Friday afternoon because a dipshit Tesla driver rear-ended him at speed. A Snohomish man, 56, was commuting in his 2022 Tesla Model S when he activated the car’s camera-based advanced driver assist system and according to his statements to police, began looking through his phone. With nobody paying attention to the car’s actions, the Tesla software ignored Jeffrey Nissen on his motorcycle and continued on at speed. The car rear-ended the two-wheeler, Nissen was flung from the bike, and his life ended pinned underneath the electric car, where he was still lodged when police arrived to the scene.

Reminder that even if you are personally aware of how dangerous Tesla vehicles are and vow to never ride in one, they can still kill you.

My own driving habits have changed around them. I always give Teslas extra space, avoid following them directly, and expect them to stop or swerve suddenly without notice.

What's a misconception you've had for a really long time that in hindsight makes no sense?

One of mine was for a very long time, I genuinely thought when lawyers said they had to pass 'the bar exam' I genuinely thought it meant like, what you would need to become a bartender. And was very confused on what that had to do with being a lawyer.
