Nazism is not to be debated, it is to be fucking destroyed! Throughout history fascism has always led to violence and death, if its in the form of a regime or a street movement, it ends in systematic prejudice or terrorism. We can look at contemporary fascism and neo-Nazi groups or we can look at regimes from the last 100 years and all the history shows the same. But lets take a fresh example from 2020 to show exactly what happens when you appease fascists. 

“The Base” is a US-based neo-Nazi network, with members connected to Atomwaffen Division (neo-Nazis who killed 5 people in recent years), Identity Europa, The National Socialist Movement, American Guard, and the Traditionalist Workers Party . Many of their Discord and Telegram chats have been leaked where it was revealed they’ve been preparing for large scale terrorist attacks, as well as being responsible for a number of recent co-ordinated anti-Semitic attacks on Synagogues and Jewish businesses. This wave of attacks on Jewish targets was dubbed “Operation Kristallnacht” in the fascist groupchats.

The Base embraces ideologies centred around violence and acts of terror to achieve their goals. One such ideology is “accelerationism” which states acts of terror are essential to bring around the collapse of liberal society so fascists can take control. Within their groupchats they’ve said “There is no political solution” as well as encouraging immediate targeted acts of vandalism to incite further racial hatred. The leader Rinaldo Nazzaro urged members to double down and commit to a decades-long insurgency, conceding they were “at least 20 years away from a full-fledged civil unrest scenario”. 

Much of the beliefs held by these fascists have been cited and shared by the mass shooters in El Paso and Christchurch, as well as many phrases and symbols. Not only are The Base actively plotting and trying to engage in terrorist action, they have also aided in the radicalisation of many from the El Paso shooter to the Christchurch shooter. Both terrorists cited similar ideological reasons as The Base for their plotted acts.  

This is the face of neo-Nazism, this is modern fascism in its true form. This is another example of many that when fascists organise it leads to violence and terrorism. It doesn’t matter if they’re a minority, because they are extremists and it only takes one extremist to cause destruction. We cannot appease Nazis, we cannot defeat them through debate, we safely co-exist with them while they attack us. They want war, they want to use force to take power, they want to use violence against their victims, and unless we stop them they will.
