Today on our site: @chrisanthony2112 shared a preview of his upcoming book “Be Kind or Else”. Check it out in bio! Inspired by past Revolutions, the book is a visual tale of modern day activists – mostly African-American women, who are both at the forefront of activist movements as well as disproportionately affected by income and wealth inequality. • • • • • #artoftheday #blackartwork #artgallery #melanin #art #blackart #melaninbeauty #melaninmagic #blackartsupport #blackartist #melaninqueen #melaningoddess #artlife #blackartistspace #dopeblackartists #dopeblackartwork #blackexcellence #artwork #blackartists #blacklove #blackgirlmagic #dopeblackartist https://www.instagram.com/p/CEpiKJdDGZi/?igshid=w55jfvj6hh4z

Presh impresses in his debut with his relaxing Lofi track “Escape”
The promising music artist creates a vibe with this one
A campfire crackles into the night sky, serving as a place of comfort and warmth for a man alone. As piano chords and hand placed percussion creep in, a similar warm feeling exudes from the music itself. This is the backdrop for Presh’s debut song “Escape”, a relaxing, Lofi track complemented with hand drawn visuals. Perhaps equally as…

Solomon Cazer impresses with his soulful 1st single “Falling”
The Saint Louis artist is off to a great start
If falling in love had a theme song, we’re almost certain that it’d be sung by Solomon Cazer. In his new release “Falling”, he takes listeners on a surreal trip of infatuation. The Saint Louis artist combines elements of Neo Soul and Jazz, pulling from influences of his music filled childhood. Serving as both the producer and singer on the track,…

Check out these talented artists
As the Black Lives Matter Movement has continued, gatekeepers across industries have called themselves out for a lack of opportunity and diversity. (Crazy that it took all of this right?!) According to Teen Vogue, there has only been ONE black photographer and 21 black women to contribute a Vogue cover in the past 127 years. Anna Wintour was one of many to acknowledge prejudice, and Black Twitter and Instagram got to work. Here are some of our favorites, but it doesn’t stop here. There are hundreds more on the hashtag, so show these black creatives some love.
Oh yeah and let the record show that this was started by @capricornbbyy1 (Twitter)

The brand pushing social justice
College can create a legacy for a lot of things. Though it is a place of learning it can be a place where you connect with kindred spirits and even potential business partners. Meet the Morehouse crew: Grant Bennett, Malik Kennedy and Mason Chipley who used their college experience to establish a brotherhood and build the creative brand “Long Live.” A collective brand where the three use clothing to navigate their audience through life experiences.
Each coming from a different area of the map. Grant (Fayetteville, North Carolina), Malik (Toronto, Canada) and Mason (Inglewood, California) adds a unique perspective to the brand. With their first project “Long Live 2020” which was dedicated to the class of 2020 who unfortunately couldn’t participate in a traditional graduation ceremony is only glimpse how powerful the messages are to come. “On the back of our tees, we wrote, ‘We gon’ make it out regardless.’  Our tees reflect the attitude of most of the people in our generation” they said, “Outside of creating a tee that would stand the test of time, we wanted to create something that captured our mindset.”

Long Live is not only a brand but a community movement. When asked what the futures hold for LL they replied “Long Live will continue to drop projects in the future. We have already been asked to design tees for a large group of students in the class of 2021” the crew adds, “Outside of merchandise, we also have an interest in branching out into hosting live events and social impact. We are already working on some new ideas for the fall.” They are currently donating proceeds to multiple different social justice causes surrounding police brutality.
Make sure you follow @longlivetwentytwenty to check out the movement and support.

Detroit bred artist ClemonsAndCo impresses with his single “Jus Sayin”
A must hear tune from the talented contemporary artist Hailing from Mo Town, ClemonsAndCo knows a few things about catching a groove. On his latest track though, the subject matter isn’t wrapped up in the honeymoon phase of love, or a tough break up, but rather the very human and relatable in between stage. What makes him and his music unique is his ability to channel his influences into…

Caleborate drops new EP "Sparks In The Studio"
Caleborate drops new EP “Sparks In The Studio”
The Five song project is a great listen
“I ain’t tryna kill the vibe, I just feel like saying this, I ain’t tryna kick knowledge, I’d rather just talk my shit.” That single bar, spit on the song “Gemini”, pretty much captures the feeling of Caleborate’s new EP “Sparks in the studio”. Not to be confused with a “Conscious Rapper”, Caleborate is simply presenting himself as a human being on this…
