I don't see it saying that he was possessed after believing but rather he was so used to offering supernatural favors for money that he tried to buy from the Apostles the ability to perform miracles, and they rebuked him strongly. I don't see that being relevant though

Western Christians have been avoiding this because it makes us look primitive in the eyes of unbelievers, but we should be the first to say “yes, magic is real, magic has power, magic often does just what the practitioner says it will, but it is animated by demons and the practitioners are not the ones in control” because I guarantee our brothers and sisters in the third world will say it without hesitation

went to my favorite red huckleberry bush hoping to get a cutting, (a bush thats likely been there 10 years minimum) maybe with some rhyzome attached if the people in that house were ok with it; since it's at the edge of their property; but felt guilty about overly disturbing such a healthy and relatively hard to find native berry bush just because I want to try to propigate it lmao.

Got there and found the whole stump it was rooted in had been smashed to a paste extremely recently. bush splintered. Branches fully uprooted but barely wilted, so it must have been within the last 2 days or so. I replanted some of them around the area and shoved one in my car. Made the neighbors aware of what I was doing and apparently they didnt even know it was there.
