Genetically she couldn’t be all brown, so she’s a calico, which I think makes her look more like an autumn leaf

honestly the only way I would ‘rewrite’ Bluestar’s Prophecy would be to actually make her and Thistleclaw compete for the deputyship- have her take on organising patrols or something when Tawnyspots is ill, have him lead a successful battle for Sunningrocks, one of them attends the Gathering as a temporary deputy, have the Clan gossip and spread rumours- who will Sunstar pick? It should obviously be Bluefur- no Thistleclaw- no, Bluefur- then she’s expecting kits and Tawnyspots is on deaths door, and ThunderClan needs a deputy during a freezing leafbare when WindClan is raiding them for what little prey they have. Sunstar tells Bluefur he would have picked her, Goosefeather says she must be deputy or ThunderClan will drown in blood., and in what might be the first signs of her later paranoia, she takes her starving kits to RiverClan where they will be better fed where she can be deputy she can beat Thistleclaw she’s lost to him before but she won’t lose here, and the winter passes. No one questions the disappearance of Snowkit, Mosskit, and Moonkit- a fox took them- and Stonepaw and Mistypaw of RiverClan will be ThunderClan’s newest enemies.

I love this design

Gorsetail! She appears in power of three, as the mother of the three kits who get lost in the tunnels. She has a lot of appearances after that, and quite a few where her gender changes. it seems like these days though she is represented as a she cat. Maybe I headcanon her as nonbinary maybe other fans could interpret her differently I make no definitive stances.
