I wonder if Uro will have a similar power to Itsuki from Yu Yu Hakusho. Similar to how he can create portals between dimensions, she can do the same with the sky? Kinda interesting her name is Uro Takako and Itsuki’s pet is Uraotoko. If similar, Dimension sword/Yuta katana parallel?

Thoughts on Hakari Kinji (So far)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here in Chapter 145 we see the group discussing getting Hakari to join them, and Yuta pointing out that when worked up, Hakari is stronger than him. Hakari's strength has been heralded by Gojo, and now Yuta, so you can see why he will be useful for the Culling Game.
Here in Chapter 153 we get Hakari's official debut, and we found out that he can write scripts, and while watching Yuji fight, he sees an opportunity arise for him to strike on.

Chapter 155 where Yuji meets with Hakari, and he brings up "Fever", which can be viewed as being excited, and he talks more about how people gamble. This is an interesting part to me because gambling can also be seen as the metaphor for life, where you are judged for being risk-averse, but also for those who become addicted (Sidenote: Gambling fever is real as well.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For Hakari, fever is gambling because of the thrill it brings, and even mentions how important it is to even falling in love. To me, it seems like experiencing something new, which goes back to what Hakari said how people want to change their lives, so they take chances, and also make mistakes.
A couple other points I wanted to bring up:
1. Since we found out Hakari is a gambler, I'm not surprised at the amount of gambling references Gege has used.
2. When Yuta said Hakari gets worked up, I thought of two things. One, if he gets hotter on a roll, this is similar to rolling a 5 on one roll, or consecutive rolls. This term in gambling is also called a fever. Second, some gamblers also believe in hot/cold tables, believing in a foreseeable future. I'll be watching to see if the number 5 is brought up in the story or not.

Noticed in the recent chapter that the guy looking for Yaga has a similar mask as the Q soldiers from Gojo's past. Could be unrelated, but we knew after HI they had disbanded. Now that Gojo isn't around, I wonder if they reformed to continue the goal of Tengen losing all reason.

It’s been speculated for awhile now that Gojo and Uraume could be related, and I think there’s some validity to it. Fans have brought up their similar look, and the plum blossom connection with Sugawara-no-Michizane. There’s some additional things I noticed as well. - The clothing Uraume wears. It looks similar to Montsuki Haori Hakama, at least to me. This is a formal attire, and they usually have a family crest on them. Another thing that interested me was that crests were also dyed on their attire, and umbrellas as well. We haven’t seen a full view of the black dye on Uraume’s hair, but from a certain angle it looks similar to the plum blossom that were used as crests at Tenmangu shrines for Sugawara-no-Michizane.

- Plum blossoms often signal the changing of seasons. It’s considering the winter cousin of Sakura. Ume refers to the tree and fruit. The blossoms are known to come to life even during the winter season, and with frost on them. This info isn’t implying a connection, just something I found cool considering Uraume has a cursed technique that involves ice, and is called “Frost Calm”.

Choso and his two brothers = Cursed Womb: Death Paintings
Nine death painting wombs in total. 6 more death paintings still reside at Jujutsu High. Originate from a woman who could give birth to cursed spirits.
One of their techniques is called "Decay"
- Starts spreading poison inside target once infected with their blood
Supreme Rot Technique decomposes the target
The woman who bore the cursed spirit children was from the Meiji era. She fled with the child to the mountains, where there was a temple run by Jujutsu sorcerers. She then ran into Noritoshi Kamo, who is remembered as the most evil sorcerer in history.
**Possible Connection**
Kusôzu = Watercolor paintings in Japan that depict human decomposition
- Popular between 13th and 19th centuries
- Inspired by Buddhism, and it's beliefs on the temporary nature of the human world
- The goal is to live life according to your own values, and die a good death when that time comes
- Kusôzu: the death of a noble lady was painted in the 18th Century
- Woman wearing Kimono, with scroll in her hand that had a farewell poem
- There's nine stages of a decaying corpse
- The intention was spiritual enlightenment
The Nine Stages
(1) distension (choso); (2) rupture (kaiso); (3) exudation of blood (ketsuzuso); (4) putrefaction (noranso); (5) discoloration and desiccation (seioso); (6) consumption by animals and birds (lanso); (7) dismemberment (sanso); (8) bones (kosso); and (9) parched to dust (shoso)
**Choso and his brothers**
- Have no memories of their mother
- No hatred towards humans or Jujutsu sorcerers
- Mother had nine pregnancies, and nine abortions
- Records of the girl, and how it happened were destroyed
- Memory of a past event that never happened was shown in Choso's brain at the end of Chapter 105
- Occurred during his fight with Yuji
- Memory showed Choso and his brothers, eating together at a table
**Yuji connected with this group?**
- He values life, and cares about others
- His grandpa's last words were help people, and when it’s his time to go, to be surrounded by others
- He doesn't know what it means to die naturally
- No information on Yuji's parents (Hidden purposely by Gege)
