              The trickster welcomed her sarcasm. It was refershing in a way. Not for polite society, that's a definite. Though, Loki wasn't your typical member of 'polite society'.

                   Loki's idea of refreshment included rich Absinthe and fine foods. No use scrimping in the company of the Gods. That was something that he would miss, condemned to the foul recesses of chain restaurants and pretentious, over compensating cafés.

                  With a groan, he folded his arms. "You may..." he said eventually. Though, he just knew that he was going to end up somewhere that would not suit his tastes. "Promise me one thing - do not have me settled in anywhere dreary. I have certain standards that I would prefer to be maintained."

                 He was fully aware that there was going to be very little in the way of short term when it came to his stay on Midgard. As much as he loathed it, the sooner he just dealt with it, the better for everyone.

"Yeah, we know how to throw a party," she said dryly. "Only I guess the guy who was supposed to bring the refreshments is running late."

It wasn’t total sarcasm— she had yet to meet a SHIELD agent who didn’t have some favorite food or drink, and a corresponding tendency to always have access to whatever that favorite was. Caffeinated drinks and horribly unhealthy snacks seemed to be most popular.

In the meantime, until someone better-qualified showed up— and whoever it was would be busy handling the clean-up anyway— their visitor was her responsibility, according to the policy & procedure manual, which of course had a section on how to handle non-native (i.e., extraplanar, extraterrestrial, and preternatural) beings.

"I’m going to guess that you haven’t had time to arrange lodgings, sir," she said. "May I do so on your behalf, at least for the short term?"
