The sea scent, 1
“On the road to a different summer.” Send.
That was Dana’s last tweet just seconds after the bus started the road.It sounded like a misterious and fun tweet. Something cool. But the difference with her previous summers weren’t as great as that tweet sounded. But it wasn’t nobody business anyway.
Her decision of going to Marbella, exactly the same summer her parents weren’t going was nothing to do with having a wild summer. She just finished her college carreer, and she felt as lost as she was five years before.
‘Study something that helps you get a job easily’ her parents always said.
And that she did. 5 years working hard on subjects she didn’t like, just to have a career she didn’t want to have nothing with.
But she decided to go step to step, as Rocky once said; and summer was the first one.
Her phone buzzed on her hand, waking Dana up from her thoughts about Rocky.
'You finally coming?! I’m excited! Just saw your tweet! This is going to be the best summer ever!!’   It was Alex, Dana’s best friend.
'Haha! Don’t get that excited. First task is to get a job, then we’ll talk’ she typped back.
'Don’t worry about that ;) Best summer ever!’ Alex texted back.
Dana turned off her mobile phone. It’s not that she didn’t want to talk with Alex, but her friend was too optimistic about the summer, when all Dana was thinking about was getting a job. The worries started to full her body at the thought of not being able to get it. But she will. She had to.  And trying to keep those thoughts on the back of her head, she opened her notebook and started drawing. Her best way of getting distracted and calm.

The arm around Dana’s neck was getting tighter and tighter.
'Alex, please! There’s been just two weeks’ Dana laughed.
'Oh dear, and those were the worst!’ Alex cried with that drama tone she used that well.
Dana couldn’t help but laughing. She started thinking about what Alex said 'best summer ever’. With her friend by her side she could give that a try.
'My grandpas are at the beach. I told them you were coming for dinner, so they could go. If not, they would be here till you arrived. They can’t wait to meet you’ Alex said while taking Dana’s bag and walking through the home.
'Me?’ Dana asked curious.
'Yes. I’ve talk about you a lot, of course’ she said winking to Dana.
'Should I feel accomplished?’ Dana asked.
Alex’s response was taking out her tongue.
She opened a door and move to the side so Dana could enter before.
'Welcome to your paradise this summer’ she said.
Dana laughed. 'You’re really optimistic about this summer, Alex'
'I fear this is my brother’s bedroom and you could find horrible magazines hidden around’ she said benting to see under the bed. 'But at least he had the best bed of the house, and now it’s all yours’
Dana crossed the room and hugged her friend.
'You ok, sweetie?’ Alex asked.
'You’re the best’ Dana said.
'Ok, let’s see what you bring here with you for the night’ Alex said opening Dana’s bag. Dana sighed laying on the bed and hidding her face with her hands. She knew her friend wouldn’t like, and she knew exactly what she was about to say.
