Tw animal death

I assisted with my first euthanasia today. It was really hard not to cry, but I didn't. I also assisted with a body removal for a second one.

Very intense first day as a vet tech. But good. Even though it was so hard to see the owner suffering, it felt good knowing that I was helping to give the animal peace. And that their owner loved them enough to let them go in peace.

The world lost two beautiful souls, and two families lost their best friends. I just hope their memory is a blessing.

Finally broke down the cage. It just feels like there's not only a big hole in my room, but a big hole in my heart.

I really want to make a post celebrating her life.

But it's still just too raw. I'd be crying so hard I wouldn't be able to function. And I want to be happy when I talk about what an amazing creature she was.

I was so lucky to have her.

I miss staying up late and watching her play.

For a creature that didn't even weigh a pound....she was such a monumental presence in my life.

Waking up without her realy hurts. The room feels so empty.
